It was our 2nd visit after 8-9 years. We had great experience at the past so we were expecting that we will experience the same great experience but unfortunately no :(. When we were back the hotel was look old. We were welcome by tiny cockroaches and broken air conditioner. But luckily, they gave us another room. I am not sure whether we will coming back again :((
Hotel located nearby with restaurant, supermarket and coffee bean. Just walking distance. Hotel room and bathroom were comfortable. But there is no lift, it’s a bit difficult for old people to climb up the staircase. The staff are friendly
Traders Inn have been around for many years and it is near eateries just next door and a short walk to the supermarket. The hotel is not big, just average but normal amenities available. You can choose your room rate either with breakfast or without. No big deal. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful when you ask for information regarding routes and attractions of Brunei. Car park is ample but at times can be crowded. The hotel is non smoking at all areas and can smoke opposite the hotel near the trees and car park.
This is quite old hotel for short trip is fine as the hotel is very near to airport and Supa Save Mall. It comes with a breakfast complimentary of Nasi lemak, western meals, sausage and toast with coffee/tea...
Traders Inn had been our family's home for two (2) days. It has the basic necessities such as toiletries, towels and coffee making facilities. The rooms have ample space to move around and comfortable beds.. It's near to supermarket and restaurants which serve delicious and affordable meals. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They will make you feel at home. Traders Inn is the right choice when you are in Brunei.
I like the hotel location simply because its close to a upper end supermarket and ample dining shops/restaurant around the hotel. Thus you have all the basic necessities all around. The rooms are also spacious and comfy. Nice bed and bath towels to ensure a comfortable stay. The restaurant serves great Chinese cooked dishes and Dim-Sum selection. A good choice for budget stay in Brunei as its worth what you pay.
This hotel has a good location to cafes, restuarants, supermarket, located around the hotel. Quite a distance to the city. The lobby is spacious and plenty of comfortable waiting seats. The two beds room vomes with 2 super single beds. There is a mini fridge, coffee making facilities and so far room is ok. The hotel also has their own coffee house. There is no lift.
Searching for hotels to stay at in Brunei was by far the uniquest experience I've ever had when it comes to booking for travels! Stumbled upon Traders Inn due to lack of other options. I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights with 2 other companions. It's a convenient place. About 10 - 15 minutes from the airport and about half an hour away to ferry port (if you're traveling cross country to Kota Kinabalu, etc...). The hotel is right across a grocery store and about 3-4 restaurants within hotel's vicinity (I think 2 out of the 3/4 are hotel run restaurants). It's an old establishment. Hallway [2nd floor] has a faint smell of cigarette fume, house keeping in the morning are a bit too loud - not with the vacuum/cleaning sound, but noises from their daily long morning phone calls... might be problematic if you're trying to sleep in. Perks: Receptionists are quite helpful. Offered us a good deal for a 5 hour tour to Brunei's main attractions for only $85.00 for 3 people. They exchange money at a good rate and helped coordinate transportation. Transportation wise, please be sure to book taxis ahead of time at the reception - there are only 50 taxis in Brunei (we were told, better safe than sorry!) - no Uber!! Also, in addition to that, make sure you come down at the lobby 15 - 20 minutes before your scheduled pick up - remind the receptionist because taxis here run late. We almost missed our ferry on our last day! Brunei is a very quiet place. You could see all the main attractions in one whole day. Short trip is advisable... but, then again depending on what you intend to do!
I am traveling for a 3-day business trip to Bandar. I keep my costs low and this hotel perfectly fits the bill. It is simple and clean, with very helpful staff. The room is very basic but adequate for a business traveler like me. And there is a supermarket across the road, with a 4-5 restaurants, 3 coffee places, 2 pharmacies (Guardian and a traditional Chinese one), a pizzeria. It is also a short drive to the more glitzy Gadong area. The only gripe I have is the erratic Internet speed.
Traders Inn is located about 5 minutes drive from the main shopping area of Gadong. The rooms are spacious and nice, definitely not luxurious but well maintained and a steal for the price. Lots of food options within walking distance of the hotel.
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
