Quirky, not too expensive, two streets from the main square, can't recommend highly enough. Our room was in the attic but large and roomy. Ceiling went up into the eaves, bed was probably one of the most comfortable I've slept on. Continental breakfast in the cellars was just right, plenty of choice and lovely atmosphere.
Close to everything in Bruges. They arranged a parking pass for us in a garage outside the town walls, but we could drive into the city to drop stuff off (don't trust your GPS phone here, lots of one-way streets). We had to leave early the next day, and they kindly arranged to have a partial early breakfast for us.
Loved this little hotel/B&B. Rooms were comfortable and a good size, week equipped and tastefully decorated. The location was perfect, 10 metres from the square. Breakfast was really nicely presented with ample selection. Toaster would have been nice. No lift if stairs are an issue. Lovely communal lounge area in the cellar and a court yard when the weather is fine. Highly recommend this place.
Stayed here and posted a review a couple of years ago and was pleased to find that its excellent standards at this family-run hotel had been maintained on our visit in September. The hotel's rooms are well decorated, clean and functional with tea/coffee facilities, TV, phone and en-suite. Breakfast in the vaulted cellar is excellent with a good selection of cooked meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit and yogurt - you can coddle your own eggs!! The Malleberg's USP has to be its proximity to the Burg (50m) and main square (100m) with their attractions of historical buildings, shops, bars and restaurants. If you want to escape the tourist bustle, the hotel has a small inner courtyard garden for relaxation. The underground car park is a couple of hundred metres away.
This place is right in the center of Bruges. You couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel itself is great too. It's clean, well equipped, and has a great breakfast included with the stay. The staff is a married couple who happily accommodated several special requests. They were accommodating every step of the way. I highly recommend this place!
Excellent hotel in centre of Bruges, near to shops, bars and restaurants. The room we had was like an apartment with 2 separate bedrooms - ideal for a family of four. Both bedrooms were very spacious with easy chars and also table and chairs. Separate bathroom along the corridor within the suite, with bath, separate shower and vanity sink. Toilet also separate. Lovely breakfast downstairs in the cellar. Staff very friendly and attentive. Quaint little quiet courtyard for those seeking a bit of relaxation outdoors. Would definitely stay again.
Huge rooms, delicious breakfast, and located in the heart of charming Bruges! I loved this hotel and can't wait to return! Lots of amenities included...soaps, hair dryer, outlets for charging, TV, kettle and tea/coffee, and so much closet and drawer space, you can easily unpack for a week or more! Affordable and delightful!
Hotel is perfectly located close to the buzzing city attractions as well as quiet restaurants on the other side of Hoof Straat. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We stayed in room 7 that over looked the courtyard. Hotel is very well looked after. Breakfast selection is a bit limited. I would suggest having more fruits, choice of omlettes or scramble ect.
This is such a charming, quaint hotel. I loved the historic building it was in. I liked the cellar that breakfast was served in. There also was a nice little courtyard. The staff also couldn't have been more helpful. You can't ask for a better location. It is within a block of Burg square and from there about a block or so to Markt square. It is near every other site. The room was well-equipped, with coffee making facilities, a tv with a wide variety of channels, and a shower with plenty of hot water. The room was cleaned each day. The breakfast was very basic, but you could boil your own eggs to your liking and the staff were prompt with coffee and restocked it frequently. Now, for a couple cons. The bed was very hard. I had a hard time sleeping on it. I had a hip injury I was recovering from, so it was very painful and when I woke up I had a hard time walking. I appreciated the luggage storage, but I feel like they should look into a more secure area to store luggage in if they want to offer this service. I was told to leave my bag in the corner of reception, which would have been fine. I noticed when I returned a couple times to drop off purchases and shed my jacket that it wasn't staffed either time. I am not saying Bruges is crime ridden or unsavory characters are at the hotel, but it would have been very easy for someone to stroll in and steal stuff.
Stayed two nights and could not have had a better experience. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were a group of four, and the room worked out perfect. Everything was very clean. The location of this hotel could not be better. Short walk to all the great parts of the city. Would recommend to anyone looking for a easy place to stay.
