Has 5 nights in a ground floor 2 bedroom unit here recently, and really enjoyed it. Close to Cable beach, the Resort is well located ,tropical gardens and has a great main pool. A bit more shade over a part of the pool would have been appreciated though. The unit was clean on entry, self contained, spacious and modern, although the cooking equipment and utensils were quite basic spartan for anyone wanting to cook meals each day. A coffee plunger ought to be a basic item. The air-conditioning (essential in the Broome climate) was great and worked overtime. The main king sized bed was fantastic, firm and ensured a good night's sleep. The Resort was fairly empty when we were there so no issues with over crowding or noisy guests. The restaurant is fairly basic but does decent food ,including a nice seafood basket for 2. Good selection of beers and wines at the bar.
We have been here couple years ago and we decided to come back as we enjoyed our previous time Once again the resort looks beautiful, the main pool area very relaxing and on our first night We enjoyed the steak at the restaurant.
We had a lovely 2 night stay and enjoyed this hotel. We had a lovely room, semi self contained over looking a small pool. I think the complex has 4 pools and really well set out gardens and grounds. A good size room, a lovely large bed and all modern and well set out. We had two enjoyable breakfasts at the hotel, good value too. Also, had family and friends join us for Friday night happy hour 5pm to 7pm which was really good value and the bar is situated in a lovely outdoor decking garden area. We would definitely stay there again.
We decided to have a few days in Broome before heading out to stay on a Kimberly station with my son. The stay at the Oaks was great. With a pool outside our front door it made the stay very relaxing.
After wanting to go to Broome for many years. I was not only disappointed from the moment of arrival to the time we left the resort. The hotel staff have no idea on how to treat there guests. Great welcome (not) "how are you going mate" this was the tone all throughout the stay. Not a great way to treat a guest. Every time I called front of house the same response was given " yeh mate" It just didn't sit well with me when I asked to be addressed by my name " yeh no worries mate" ! Coming from a international student staff member was just wrong. As for the so called restaurant well they could not cook a sausage sizzle at a Bunnings BBQ! "Being told no you can't have a steak in your room" Having staff argue with a guest frankly very rude unprofessional. As for the room unclean lazy housekeepers & just general dirty dusty & then the air con blows up. Another 4 hour drama. All we were waiting for was Basil & Cybill from Faulty Towers to turn up. Would we recommend this resort ? Not at all. Value for money no not at all $5 for a can of Coke $38 for a crap steak. I make this statement without prejudice. -1 in a score oaks cable beach sanctuary never again !
Stayed in a studio for 5 nights during the big wet in late January 2018. The resort has a large resort pool and other smaller pools around the accommodation buildings. The pool we used was at a great temperature. The studio had a comfortable king side bed. Had microwave which was handy. On the night of the big storm when the power went out at 7.30pm, staff came with torches which was much appreciated. The resort is spread over a large area. When my wife needed to go to reception during a rain period the staff bought her back in a buggy to shelter her from the elements. A very nice well equiped resort with the service very good. Cleanliness could have been better but from my experience was no worse from what you get in five star hotel.
Stained bedding, dirty floors and filthy crockery. I read the reviews after booking and got concerned. Unfortunately, the reviews about cleanliness was true. My friend had to ask to change rooms due to the huge amount of dead bugs in her bed and large amount of mozzies in the room. The restaurant was terrible. Parma was retried and the chips were soggy. My friends steak was dry and powdery, I actually got sick that evening. I never write reviews unless I had a genuinely bad experience. Wasn't terrible but it did not match the price, better options around.
Excellent facilities for a reasonable price, comfy bed and great room setup. Ate at the restaurant most days we stayed for breakfast and dinner, the chef is an amazing cook! Meals were delicious! And highlyrecommend best steak meal I've had in a long time
Room was very clean. Bed very comfortable. Booked at an awesome rate. Room was not serviced in the week we were there, but that suited us. Great to have kitchen to cook meals and washer and dryer to catch up on washing. Pool was lovely. $10 cocktails happy hour on Friday and Saturday evening. Great value. Cheap steak dinner on Saturday nights. Steak cooked to perfection.
We've stayed twice at Oaks Cable Beach, both in the studio room and apartment. On both occasions the rooms have been well maintained and clean on arrival. The layout in the apartment is very serviceable, with full kitchen and large living/dining rooms. The deck offers views over the pools, one deeper and one a great shallower option for young children. The studio, for a quick overnight stay, offered good value particularly during the wet season. The Oaks is a 15 minute walk from Cable Beach and only 5 minutes from other dining options.
