Bayside Holiday Apartments

We were booked into Bayside by our tour organiser. While a basic motel complex, the apartments are ready for an update to modernise the facilities. My biggest complaint would be no twin beds available and only a lumpy sofa bed for a second person. The location is opposite Mato’s and the town bus stop (have your cash ready). You can easily walk to town if you can handle the heat. The pool sits all day in the sun so the 3 min stroll to the sister Moonlight Bay apartments to use their pool is well advised. There is free laundry facilities which are a bonus as well as a full size fridge in the room. No five stars here.

I arrived at 230pm after a 10 hour drive to be told I would have to wait for half an hour for a room. Completely exhausted I said I would find somewhere else. I was then suprised and extremely disappointed to find myself charged. If I had arrived at midday I would have understood the need to wait. I was also never told I would still be charged. I rang and spoke to a very unhelpful woman and then sent the manager two emails, weeks apart with no response. Finally I rang to speak to a very unprofessional man. Not an ounce of customer service! I have no idea what the accommodation is like but if something goes wrong there is no comeback. In a town full of options don't go here. Broometime Lodge is a much more helpful, accommodating and professional option.

Great self contained apartments with pool and opposite Matso's Brewery! Central to town, the Mangrove Hotel - in case it's stairway to the moon time! Comfortable, clean, and if you are coming in from a road or off road trip, as we were, the laundry is handy and free. BYO laundry detergent!

Stayed here for three nights. Very, very impressed. Apartments are very well appointed, with free wifi, a full kitchen, bath, and very friendly and courteous staff. Great pool area, and virtually central to all that Broome has to offer. Would gladly recommend.

Booked through booking. com, doubled booked, was told by a very officious receptionist that I would have to pay for both bookings. Last thing you need after traveling for hours, finally got it sorted out and was told I would receive the overpayment when I returned key in morning - I got the money next day. The room very dated, $273 for a room that would be lucky to be valued at $150, but holiday time Broome! Nothing like what I expected for the price! Don't go there!

The apartments are opposite Matso's and near the bus stop. The units are part of a small complex of 12 with nice gardens and basic pool. You have access to the major pool at Moonlight Bay Suites. The units are relatively spacious but a little dated. Large fridge freezer to keep things cold in the heat. The aircon works well but is aged and a bit noisy. There are however fans in the bedroom and living area. All staff were excellent. Excellent value.

This is a lot to like about this accommodation - it's quiet, clean and spacious and a fabulous price. My one big complaint is that the pool needs cleaning though! It was too dirty to use and not cleaned at all while we were there and the Moonlight Bay Suites pool was shut. We would not have booked it if we had known we not have a pool to use.

Lovely cosy self contained apartment in Broome Western Australia friendly staff, apartments were clean. Loved broome my first time there. Shops are very close within walking distance. Lots to see and do in such a short time I had their.

Excellent location for the Staircase to the Moon- just across the street. Reception off-site but nearby and happy for you to use their facilities as well. Free guest laundry handy for our week stay. Good sized kitchen area and local bus at door if the 20 minutes walk to the shops is too much in the heat. Would certainly stay here again.

Was travelling with two friends and the accommodation offered a good sized living space and convenient kitchen. It also had a double room and a twin bed room, pull out in the living room if needed. The bathroom was next to the twin room but amenities positioned on the opposite wall so no noise issues. Exposed brick finishes help with creating quiet spaces. Pool and green grass literally 15ft from the front door. Good air con and fans in each room. Double sliding door in living area for access to the back of the property and a through breeze. Opposite Matsos and next to a large park ...but set back from the road so did not hear a peep. Serviced daily (did not expect that) and all clean neat and tidy. I would come back to this accommodation. Close enough to shops, markets, attractions....5 min walk to see staircase to the moon. Check in is at Moonlight 5 mins away....was a bit disconcerting to be told we needed to cart bags 500 metres to accommodation (after we were dropped off) but is downhill and less than 500 metres away! Big car park in the back of accommodation (driveway a little hidden past the pool entrance. Fence all around property but useful to be safety conscious and lock up as locals said there had been some issues when accommodation not locked. Not too surprising in a busy tourist area.
