Nestled in the beautiful pines and rolling hills of Hochatown, Sweet Summer Rain is the ideal combination of modern luxury and peaceful relaxation. Because we are minutes away from restaurants, local activities, and state parks, you have many options on how to spend your day. The open concept, three bedroom, three and a half bath layout accommodates up to 10 people, making it the perfect retreat for families, friends, and couples.

As you walk into the main floor of the cabin, you are greeted by a full wall of windows and a 20 ft floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace. The living room gas-log fireplace is see through to the outside deck, which allows for an unobstructed view of the massive pine and hardwood trees surrounding the cabin. Also available in the living area are two cozy queen sleeper sofas and a 55” smart TV with cable and Roku. The dining area features a large dining table with seating for eight and a spacious raised bar that will seat four. Open to the living and dining area, the kitchen features dark knotty Alder wood cabinets, elegant granite countertops, black stainless appliances and comes fully equipped to cook most any meal. Two master bedrooms are located on the first floor, each with king-size mattresses, private full baths, gorgeous tile showers, and 40” TVs with Roku. You may also enjoy relaxing in the soaker tub available in the master bathroom. A full size washer and dryer with laundry detergent provided are available on the main floor for your convenience.

Upstairs you’ll find another king bedroom with 40” TV equipped with Roku, private full bath, and spacious tile shower. Adults and kids alike will find endless entertainment in the loft and game room, which consists of a pool table, 9 ft shuffleboard table, video arcade, pub table, and a 55” smart TV. Completing the upstairs area is a half bath off the game room.

Sweet Summer Rain also features spacious outdoor living and dining areas. Relax in the six person hot tub located on the covered back deck, sit and visit around the outdoor fireplace, or cook a delicious meal on the gas grill. The winding stairs off the back deck take you to the secluded backyard fire pit, where you can cook s’mores and gather with friends and family. A beautiful creek passes near the fire pit where kids love to play.

Our third stay at Sweet Summer Rain! Obviously we love it. Perfect for my two sisters and our hubs annual four day get away. We played many games, enjoyed the firepit every night, hiked in the area. Sweet Summer Rain is a fantastic home base!

This is my 6th time to bring in the New Year with my family at Broken Bow. This cabin was exactly what I was looking forward and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The only complaint is I had to wait 30 minutes past my check in time for housecleaning to leave and they only left us 5 towels. We figured it out and located towels in the upstairs 1/2 bath.

Great location! Many cabins in the area, but because this one is at the end of a cul-de-sac, the only cabin visible was the one across the street and even it was somewhat obscured. The view off the wonderul back porch was trees and privacy! That said, we were 2 minutes from the main highway on a paved road, no more than 10 minutes to the state park, hiking trails, casino, restaurants, etc. There is a see through fireplace that we enjoyed inside and from the porch at the same time! There is a hot tub, pool table, shuffleboard, and games. The beds were very comfortable, plenty of lights with labeled switches, TVs in each room and fully stocked kitchen. Everything was very clean. We could not have had a better experience.

My family and I couldn’t be happier. We loved this place! The location was perfect! We had easy access to everything we wanted within a few miles (dining, gas, family fun, parks, etc.). We could have easily just stayed in the cabin out entire trip too. The beds were comfy, bathrooms spacious and the fireplace cozy. WiFi was more than adequate and we all had a good time watching movies in the living room at night (the living room tv should be lowered though, it’s mounted too high). My kids and I loved the fire pit too! We consumed enough s’mores during our stay to last us a few years. We’re all looking forward to coming back soon.

We had an excellent time celebrating our 19 year anniversary. Cabin is great the only thing that would have made it better is that the stairs going down to back patio was blown off before arrival. The pine needles were very slick and it’s definitely a big drop down to fire pit. But rating it a 5 star cabin and we will be back. Loved the game room and how convenient to town it was.

Only issues we had was the downstairs bathroom shared with the laundry room smelled like sewage every time the shower was ran, the mattresses from the pull out couches were dirty (I imagine they don’t get used often and easily collect dirt so we just put extra blankets down), and the snacks provided were expired (also definitely not a deal breaker but worth a mention just to be on the lookout). Overall our impression of the place was great. The sewage smell certainly needs to be addressed, we didn’t bother reaching out during our stay as we weren’t there long.

Girls Trip

This is a beautiful property! We enjoyed conversations on the deck, late nights of Ms. Pacman and shuffleboard, and walks through the neighborhood. Close to all we wanted to do (hike, go out on the lake, and shop). We will be back! (Hopefully, this was just a fluke, but when we arrived at our check-in time, the cleaning folks were still there and stayed for a 1/2 hour to get things done. We did have to do some sweeping ourselves and the floor was dirty as it had not been mopped...but we handled it.)

Family getaway

This cabin was AMAZING for all ages. It had everything we needed for the most part and the host was quick to respond to any and everything. The stairs out back are a little steeper than you think but they’re a great workout. The creek was 1 minute from the fire pit and had some cool rocks and creatures the kids find. Everyone had a blast. I already booked another trip back!
