No smoking.. Cliff Cottage has a quirky triangular shape and oozes charm. This cottage has been built to make the most of the stunning views over the harbour and coastline and is conveniently situated as it is just 100 yards from the harbour and town centre. The property benefits from a balcony off the living area, which makes an ideal place to sit and watch the boats go by. There is also a garden, which offers views across the harbour. This detached holiday cottage has been furnished and decorated to a good standard and makes perfect accommodation for families and couples alike. The vehicle access, for unloading luggage, is approximately 30-metres from the entrance to the property.

With Agatha Christie’s former home, Greenway, being practically on the doorstep, Cliff Cottage is a great base from which to visit this wonderful piece of history. Visit Paignton, which has a wide range of great activities for children of all ages, from penny arcades on the pier, to seeing all the animals at the zoo. There is a central green that is home to a multiplex cinema, crazy golf and the pier.

The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway departs from the centre of town, while Paignton Zoo is a mile or so from the centre. Over at Goodrington Park, there is a boating lake, go-karts, and Splashdown water park. Dartmoor is on the doorstep, with its stunning scenery and is a walkers’ paradise at any time of year, with Becky Falls waterfall 8 miles away. Dartmoor also boasts a variety of cycle routes, both on and off road as well as horse-riding, climbing, letterboxing, geo-caching or kayaking.

The Eden Project is approximately 1½ hours’ drive away and is a fabulous day out. Crealy Adventure Park is 20 miles. Exeter has a magnificent cathedral and quay. There are many villages to explore. Take a walk along the Southwest Coast Path which runs along the entire length of the Jurassic Coast and offers the walker stunning views, with a bird’s eye view of many coastal features. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Loved our stay at cliff cottage, amazing views overlooking the harbour, the only negative was not enough storage for clothes other than that it was a fantastic base. Not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties as my mum struggled to get down to Brixham.

Beautifully comfortable cottage overlooking the harbour with great views from almost every room. Also a great balcony to sit out on in the evening - unfortunately as we went in late autumn it wasnt really warm enough to get the full benefit of this feature. Parking is on the road and so where you are able to park is a bit haphazard. Also if you have problems climbing or descending steps this isnt the cottage for you as there are quite a few to take you down to the harbour. We would recommend this cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Cliff Cottage, it was very comfortable and in a perfect location. Our only request would be a list of kitchen equipment provided as it varies greatly from each property. Cliff Cottage had no kitchen roll, clingfilm, kitchen foil or tea towels. All of these items were provided at the property we stayed at the week before. We don’t mind bringing these sorts of items, it would just be good to know.
