** Refreshed in June 2024 ** Welcome to our Granny's house! We have recently restored our grandparent's homestead into this charming rental and we can't wait to welcome you! Our home offers a cozy atmosphere and is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The home is ideal for families or groups with the ability to sleep up to 10 guests comfortably. The house features modern amenities and stylish decor, while still retaining its historic charm.

The home features three bedrooms with one king bed and two queen beds. The living room also has a futon sofa that turns into a full size bed and there are two twin trundle beds as well. There are two full bathrooms - one has a tub/shower combo insert and the other has the original clawfoot tub that our grandparents put in the house that we restored and added a shower fixture to as well. There is a front porch that features two rocking chairs as well as a deck out back with a picnic table, swing and other seating as well. There is a small kitchen with all of the essentials required to make a meal for your family and the dining table seats eight people. Each bedroom contains a smart TV that you are welcome to login to your favorite streaming apps on. Bedroom one also contains an electric fireplace insert.

Located close to downtown Bristol, you'll have easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shops. Whether you're here to explore the vibrant music scene or simply unwind in our comfortable home place, our charming retreat has everything you need for a memorable stay.

We are in love with our great grandparents' home that they built themselves and are really proud of the remodel work we have done on the home, however keep in mind that the home is more than 100 years old. The original hardwood floors are absolutely beautiful, but they are not even everywhere so please watch your step. The original doors -- and their hardware -- on the exterior and interior are charming and nostalgic, but they stick sometimes so you might have to put your weight into it to open or pull toward you when you're locking them.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

WARNING-Don’t stay here!

When we checked in the fridge and freezer were not working. The property manager brought in a ridiculous dorm fridge. Day after day we got excuses for why the repair person didn’t show up. The fridge and freezer were never fixed. They NEVER answer the phone. Every attempt to communicate I had to involve VRBO support. Then the host just canceled our 2 week reservation leaving us homeless. They’re unprofessional, unresponsive, and uncaring. Only thing they are full of are excuses.

Lovely home just minutes from everything

Granny's House is a delight! From the cozy back porch to the very comfortable beds, everything in the house was designed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen had everything we could need for our visit. Two bathrooms and excellent separation of the bedrooms allowed our two couples to have plenty of privacy, but the common areas were spacious enough to give all of us, plus our family who live nearby, a convenient and comfortable place to eat and visit together during our stay. While we didn't need a lot of diversions while we were there, there were lots of games, plus several smart TVs in the house and excellent WiFi. Access was easy and there is plenty of parking behind the house. All the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The neighborhood is lovely and the neighbors welcoming. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We definitely hope to come back again.

enjoyed the older house, but doors need to insulated.It was very cold during our stay and especially cold at night. I believe the thermostat went down at night, but maybe just leakage from cold night. The house was organized and found it accommodating.

Unclean/Unkept/Non Functional

Not cleaned and gross. End result was we went out and purchased a comforter and sheets. We had limited amount time in town and didn’t want to spend it arguing or dealing with provider to get something fixed during our stay. Who wants to go on a trip to deal with extra nonsense. We did attempt to report what we found during our stay and the response was “sorry about that”. Then shortly after we received a checkout message asking for us to move the garbage outside to the curb. Originally I had hoped they would have apologized and simply made some form of refund. Instead nothing but “sorry about that”. Further we had photos to share and never asked or provided a way for us to share. Below is what we discovered during our visit. The house has several things that are a problem: On arrival the house was not properly cleaned. - stove top was dirty - oven was not useable because of it being dirty - dishes in dishwasher stink (never unloaded or used because of how gross it smelled) - fridge was dirty/spills not cleaned up. - comforter was worn/faded/dirty looking - heating returns filthy - trash piled up outside. Can full and trash laying on ground. - washer and dryer are also dirty (load was left in washer and smelled) Items needing repair: - bathroom toilet seat was not fully attached in one bathroom - stove top burners not all working -fridge not staying cold We have never had a bad stay in a VRBO until this one. This is not a place worth renting.
