I know in most hotels it is custom to ask for a security deposit. However I looked and looked to make sure there was none so I could budget it into my trip only to arrive and be charged an extra $200. More then half my stay costs. My partner and I never get away and spent months organising this trip for our anniversary as both of us have little money and we wanted just one time away. Thanks to the lack of information we now have to cancel half our plans. Plus the room is nothing like was expected. The entire facility is tired and old. Def not worth the cost to stay here. Or deserving of 2.5 stars let alone 3.5.
The 1st thing I noticed when we'd checked into The Summit Apartments was how far away it is.,. Once we got out of the elevator, there was an overwhelmisg odour of cigarette smoke, which I can only assume is from the residential apartments in the block. We did enjoy being the only ones in the pool. The Spa however could've done with a clean... While our apartment was clean, and the bed was comfy, the bathroom was seriously outdated. I always try to have a balcony, which this aprtment did have, although there wasn't much of a view, and it was small. I wish we's spent that tiny bit extra, and stayed somewhere closer to CBD / South Bank / Sun Corp. The $149 pricetag is a little high considering location , decor, amenities
Friendly staff very helpful staff, good sized rooms and a full kitchen. I arrived really early and the room wasnt ready so they tried to find me one that was. Felt like an appartment rather than a hotel. Location was close to Brisbane CBD. Parking free and onsite. I would definitely stay again. Rooms were clean and it was the little things that made this place a great place to stay.
We chose this hotel for it's close proximity to St. Andrews Hospital and it's reasonable prices. Our room was clean, spacious and well appointed. There is no restaurant on site but there are several nearby. Across the street is Roma Street Parkland and Roma Street train and bus terminal. It is a steep climb up from Roma Street, we caught the free City Loop bus from outside Central Station, the bus stops close by the hotel. We were only there for one night but would be happy to recommend to anyone visiting that part of the city.
The Summit Apartments are in a great location with roomy apartments and FREE undercover parking. My only gripe is that our apartment was only serviced once during our 4 night stay which meant I had to go down to reception for a toiletries restock and to pick up clean towels. Also on our last morning we ran out of toilet paper and tissues. Each day we went out we would put the Please Make Up My Suite sign on the door but would come back to an untouched apartment. Really not good enough in this day and age.
Clean tidy spacious. Top of spring hill handy to everything. Note i did not request or need disabled access if this is necessary check before booking. Not a fan of shower over bath but this is not a problem just a personal choice. Very clean heaps of room. No issues at all.
The well appointed units are excellent, everything you need to get comfortable. We were visiting a sick relative at St Andrews Hospital which is almost next door and the Summit was a great place to stay. Easy access to the hospital and all the comforts of home. An easy stroll down to Brisbane CBD, comfortable beds and a nice kitchen.
Easy check in..easy car park process... we had a 2 bedroom apartment..was bit outdated needs modernising but other than that its all you need kitchen beds bathroom etc.. only 10 mins walk to queens plaza where all the shopping is. Had a swimming pool which was good shame we didnt try it out though but cheap and easy hotel...
We booked in for two weeks as my husband had a hip replacement. Due to recovery process and physio we extended and have stayed a month. Conveniently placed basically next door to hospital (5 min walk) Clean and spacious apartment. Good sized fridge and well appointed for cooking. No oven only microwave. ( I bought Sunbeam nutri bake oven for $88 (speedy bake) that has been well utilized. Good laundry. Very comfortable bed. Good air-con. I set up an office on the desk in the lounge with printer (also purchased for $56) and ran the business from here with no troubles. Free wifi. Papers daily at reception. If you need anything just ask, reception and cleaning staff are very attentive. Free city bus does the loop Monday to Friday. Bus stop close stroll. Free parking underneath is a welcome addition. Pool pristine, public areas spotless. Deliveroo provides a great selection of restaurants for takeaway, delivered in 20-30 mins. Download app on your phone or order online. (Avoid the one on the fridge) This has been a home away from home. We will be back!
Stayed 2 nights a little dated but very well maintained and clean great bed and friendly service will stay again as is handy walking distance to everything and well priced. Had 1 bed apartment with great views from balcony.
