Excellent stay each time we have been. Clean and great value with good staff on reception. Great views and comfy beds! We have stayed several times when attending events in the city and love staying here!
We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights. It was quite spacious for us, the kitchen have every necessary equipment for our short stay, the beds are comfy, overall the place is clean. Our balcony is facing the river so the view is really good. Receptionist is very friendly. The apartment is also close to everything. The first downside is finding the entrance to visitor carpark when we first arrived. Luckily I read some reviews here which said the entrance is a bit tricky to find because there were no clear instructions from the hotel. Just enter from Rich Lane off Wharf Street. Park at the visitor car park, pick up your keys from the reception and they will give you the access card to the parking space. It will cost you $ 25/day. The second downside is I stepped on a piece of glass while in the swimming pool. Luckily it was not really sharp. I couldn't be bothered to go down to the reception to show them so I just told my girls to be careful at the pool. Besides the incident, the pool, gym & spa is quite nice.
Clean and tidy Great location Nice people staying here as well Great gym Pool is a lap pool Spa near gym and pool is heated. Located in the middle of all the meeting spots like restaurants and clubs. Close to river.
Very happy with the apartment, the customer service & the views! Would highly recommend & will be backup stay soon. Danielle/Daniella checked us in & she was very friendly & helpful & very accommodating, she couldn't do enough for us. The view was spectacular! Was a wonderful weekend. Thank you very much we will be back.
Had a two nights stay at this hotel on a Scoopon voucher,hotel lovely,so central for City Eagle, St Pier and a ferry ride to Eat Street.Room very comfortable and clean,staff very helpful and friendly.A special thank you to Wendy who really helped us,we had left our Scoopon Voucher Number at home, but she helped me navigate the internet to find my Email,she was very charming.
We shared a 2 bedroom apartment with our family. The Oaks Aurora is conveniently located to the river with numerous restaurants and a ferry stop close by. The apartment was a good size for 2 couples with a well equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Although we were on the 32nd floor, it was too noisy to sit on the balcony due to airconditioners on the next building's roof. This was a minor inconvenience and we had an enjoyable stay.
We arrived about midday and was told my room is not ready but they will ring me as soon as its ready. We roam around the city but didn't get any phone calls from them until I went back to hotel myself after 4pm, front desk was packed with guesses checking in, fine. I was served by a male receptionist, he took my Commonwealth bank card to do the payment. Because the amount was too high so no paypass allowed, I had to enter my pin. Nowadays people are very used to paypass and often forget about their pin, I am no different. Perhaps he was trying to speed up check-in process so he didn't bother to let me try again, he did something and the pre-authority went through and he told us we are ready to go to our room. I don't know what he did but thought its just a pre-authorisation, I can settle payment at check-out and we were very tired after 14hrs flight so we got into our room and rest. On the check-out date as we had an early flight again we left quite early in the morning, around 7am. There was two girls at the front desk and told me the authority will went through and the charge will be made, and gave us an invoice. I found I was charged with "Credit Card Surcharge" so I went back to the girls showing her that is a local bank card, which they put in writing EFPOS has no surcharge. The girl was not interested helping me cancel that fee and told me it is what it is, I told her if I will be charged with surcharge I would've use a real credit card at least I can collect points, she just shrug and said she doesn't know anything she wasn't the one doing the pre-authorise. Well, isn't your job to find out? The whole process she was in a grumpy face, no smiles at all. If you asked me how much is the surcharge I can tell you its only a few dollars not a big deal but what pisses me off is the attitude of the receptionist and everything I asked she answers with "I don't know". With this small amount of money some company would just pay the customer back without arguing or "I don't know" customers. Maybe the management needs to train their staff with better customer service skills. I stayed with Oaks a lot because their good service and clean room etc, this branch is by far the worst and I doubt I will experience any other Oaks worst than this one.
Good location, clean, spacious and quiet. Staff were nice. Parking prices typical for cities. Great view from the balcony Gresham bar nearby a great place to chill out to and possibly the best Dominos in the world nearby
Really enjoyed the lap pool. Staff are professional and friendly. We had a great view from our balcony. The room was clean and serviced daily. Location was excellant for a Brisbane get-away. Great way to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. She had always wanted to spend a few nights in the city!
Rooms are great and staff are polite and helpful . Make sure you ask for executive rooms with views of the river and on the upper levels. Rooms are clean and well maintained and a bonus is the daily house keeping. Location is terrific as it is close to eateries as well as shopping and public transport.
