We just had the one night to have a bit of a break and used a Travelzoo voucher to have dinner and breakfast included. The room was pretty standard but nice and clean. The bed was ok but the pillows dissolve down to nothing when you sleep on them. Probably some kind of flash down filled pillows but just not what we are used to... Breakfast buffet was great but ran out of bacon and seemed to take a while to restock. Dinner was very nice but quite expensive for what you get (if you don't have a voucher) and a decent wait for it also. The free wine I took home to cook with... We were on the Eastern side and the blockout blinds did little to stop the sun coming in so not the best for a sleep in. The North facing rooms may be the way to go. Also there are stairs everywhere. I imagine it would be very difficult for to get around if you had impaired mobility. The pool is not very inviting - just a big rectangle inside a fence. It is in a lovely quiet spot if you are not facing the road and don't plan on doing much!
We stayed for one night on a deal and possibly wouldn't have thought of staying there if not for being emailed the great deal as we usually head into the city for a mini break. However, I would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending it to friends, which I've already done. It was so peaceful and relaxing and the deluxe room we stayed in looked newly refurbished. It was so quiet there, we almost felt like the only guests but at breakfast the next morning we realised that there were plenty of others around. The one thing that stood out to us though was how friendly and helpful the staff were. From the moment we walked in, the receptionist (I think her name was Ruby) went over and above our expectations and every staff member we encountered from there in was friendly and helpful, even the cleaners were happy & smiling & friendly. You obviously have a great team there..well done! The meals at the restaurant were very good and come out quickly considering how busy they were. Everything was spot on, thank you
We had a 'specials package' but no excuse really, We had to wait at reception for staff to find out if maintenance had fixed a door handle ,then we were given the key to our room, and we found the room was not made up. The next room we were given, one of the blinds wouldn't retract so we could see all the view of the lake and in the fridge was a wet towel which was going brown sitting on the drinking glasses. Our next room was better, but still dirty and dusty balcony and stairs. The bed was really comfortable. The balcony's to our rooms were dirty and dusty and had animal excretion (possum, bird, gecko) on them. The stairs and paths around the complex were the same, plus add cobwebs. The car parking area is quite a distance from most rooms. Reception staff were very apologetic about the rooms. The food was amazing and the restaurants had stunning views. All restaurant staff were polite and helpful. I would class the Lake View Restaurant as casual dining.
Had dinner in Mandy's Restaurant, what a lovely night out. Everything that was served was fresh and tasted amazing. Also loved the innovative menu, like the kholrabi stack and the kale in caper butter. And the curry was superb. Wonderful service and a beautiful view topped off a great night. Would definitely eat there again.
Went for a girls getaway. Spa was great fun, cocktails are great. Sitting on the deck overlooking Brisbane and surrounds is very peaceful. Wildlife drop in to say hello. Pool and tennis would be fun if you have time.
We got a package deal , on special. So we got a great deal. Room very clean and fresh , although a little dated in the bathroom. Almost dormitory style. Staff awesome , very friendly, except for one, you know who you are. Meals great , breakfast excellent. Thanks
The hotel was fine, the staff were the ones that had issues, they continuously forgot things of didn't listen when we order drinks or food so we never got what we expected. If this happened once I would except but it happened when we ordered drinks and snacks in the afternoon we got the drinks but an hour past and no snacks arrived, at Dinner we ordered two starters and only received one. then when we went to check out they had charged us an extra $80 for drinks we didn't have, when we challenged we had to wait for the staff member that served us the day before and rely on him memory he said that some of the drinks should have been put to people at an other table. so they gave use $36 back but couldn't remember if the others was ours or not. I will never stay there again.
Clear Mountain Resort is perched on top of a mountain with beautiful views over the Samford Valley. It is a peaceful piece of paradise. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was supper comfy and we had a couple of very good nights sleep. Staff were courteous and very helpful including Megan who assisted us during dinner in the restaurant, David the manager and Sarah who fixed up our invoice on check out. We stay at Clear Mountain often and look forward to returning there again soon.
Stayed at this hotel due to a being a guest at a wedding there. Check in was quick and no line up. Parking was open car park and a short walk to the room. Room was small with a small bathroom. Room and bathroom appeared to be clean. An old part empty milk container was in the fridge and the fridge had NOT been defrosted for some time. Television was very small and a cheap brand. Bed was comfortable. Very noisy rooms and could hear people talking in the rooms next door. We paid $169.00 for the room with no breakfast. Very overpriced and would not recommend.
As a family we often pop up to Clear Mountain to have a drink or afternoon tea by the fire during winter or out on the deck to enjoy the magnificent views. Last evening we enjoyed a magnificent meal at Mandy's restaurant. The food was superb and the service exemplary. Each time we go to Mercure at Clear Mountain the duty Manager David goes out of his way to provide personalised service. In fact all the staff are so lovely to deal with and nothing is ever too much trouble. I would highly recommend this venue for a meal or just for afternoon tea. It is such a beautiful setting.
