Laguna Beach House | classic Straddie beach house, 3 bed, 2 bath, gr8 location

Situated on the site of one of Straddie’s original beach shacks, and remodel beautifully, Laguna reflects the original design with a stunning entry onto a large pandanus shaded deck as well as open plan living, kitchen and dining areas.

The sleeping quarters of Laguna are located in a separate building from the main kitchen & living room the bedrooms are split into two levels with separate access. On the top floor, two queen bedrooms are shared with an ensuite and downstairs in a separate entry there are another four single beds, with two optional trundles, making this funky beach house the perfect destination for a large group of up to eight people.

The main bathroom is also separate from the main house and bedrooms. Please keep this in mind when booking with smaller children.

Laguna also boasts screened windows and ceiling fans throughout the house as well as an additional bathhouse outside with toilet & shower. The main open living area boasts a large TV/DVD/CD stereo, gas cooktop & oven, microwave, pantry, fridge/freezer, extra bar fridge, and dishwasher.

This beach house also features an outdoor setting with an umbrella as well as a Weber BBQ on the back deck. Laguna is the queen of seaside charm and is nestled among a huge pandanus grove with several indoor and outdoor spaces to rest and relax on your Stradbroke Island holiday. A short walk (200m) to Main Beach and only 100m from the North Gorge Walk, bakery, restaurants and shops, Laguna is Point Lookout perfection, perfect for families and groups of all sizes.
The vacation home is heated and features a balcony and 2 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a microwave, an oven, and a coffee maker.

Great location, could be improved

The house was gorgeous and in the best location however a few things could be improved, like having curtains or blinds in the downstairs bedroom where the children sleep and enough glasses for us all. It also captured zero sun so in winter it was a very cold house and the upstairs beds are old. Other than that, Straddy is such a beautiful place, we always enjoy our time there.

Great family getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Laguna Beach house. The house is in perfect location and we loved the classic beachy character charm to the house. Had all amenities that we needed. Two call outs though the house was very dusty when we arrived and we didn’t find the layout of the bedrooms kid friendly. We had to have an adult sleep in the middle level as our children get up in the night to go to the toilet and we didn’t feel comfortable with them having to step outside by themselves to go to the outhouse toilet. This also raised our concerns for safety given adults rooms were on upper level so we wouldn’t have heard if they got into trouble or needed an adult urgently.

Perfect Family with teens getaway

What a unique and welcoming house. Loved the interesting design and the many eating/entertaining spaces. The rumpus/bedroom was fantastic for our teen age kids and friends and we loved having the separate adults space above. Netfix (provided) and boardgames kept us busy in the rain. Was a bit damp getting to the bathroom in the torential rain from the main house but the rest of the house is worth a few sprinkles. Location is fantastic. Very well appointed for a large family. Would definitely book again and look forward to coming back in summer.
