I live in the eastern US and have spent a lot of time in Europe as of late. When I travel I like a hotel with easy access to the airport and historic areas. This AC Marriott is an easy train ride from Bologna or Malpensa Airport. There are ton of things including a nice grocery store close to this hotel. I walked to castle's, church's, you name it and all easy walks. Now to the hotel. I am a lifetime platinum with Marriott and hence stay at a lot of Marriotts. The hotel was nice and the staff was exceptional! The weight room was average for cardio, had some barbells and room to stretch out, but that is about it. The rooms were very nice, but did not have coffee makers (the people in the dining room took care of me :). All in all I would highly recommend this hotel if you want the convenience of a train station and to be in easy walking distance of some really cool sites.
Stayed April 2017. Attending trade fair in Milan. Road train from Milan each day. Very nice Marriott property. Basic workout room, decent breakfast, free internet. For price paid excellent value. Front desk very helpful. Two nice restaurants nearby as well as shopping mall. Walking distance to train station. Nice small town atmosphere. Only issue would be transportation. If you are traveling by train to Brescia, Watch your back and do not travel solo. There seems to be a lot of people hanging around in downtown near train station and also in Milan too. So sad to see wonderful country of Italy in this situation.
The hotel is situated somewhere in the industrial area of Brescia. There is mall nearby in case you prefer to eat out and not go far. The rooms are ok still I was surprised to see that there is no complimentary water in the room, tea, caffe or water heater. Tips: The internet is free and really slow, you can although pay for internet with a good speed. The breakfast is nice although in case you want an omelette for example that is not included as I thought.
We stayed in the AC Hotel in Brescia as we traveled from Venice back to Switzerland. It is within walking distance of a mall. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel if I travel through this part of Italy.
Don't except to much from this hotel, it's a 3 star business hotel, nothing more nothing less. The overall appearance is a little tatty and looks like it could do with a deep clean. Maybe about time for refurbishment. However the bed was comfortable and I slept well. I did think it was expensive for the condition and quality of the hotel, maybe try another hotel next time.
This is the second time I've stayed at AC Brescia. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. My main complaint is that the bar closes early (11pm). The rooms and bathrooms are always clean. I've never requested room service but have had breakfast and dinner in their restaurant. The breakfast is standard European hotel breakfast, no complaints, no rave review. The dinner I had a bolognese which was very good. Standard European sized portions, decent wine selection.
Lovely Marriott franchise hotel on the edge of city centre. Good parking and relatively quiet. Bedroom standards up to what you expect of a Marriott, bathroom really interesting with a transparent sink, I've never been confronted by my feet while using the sink. We didn't use restaurant or bar, so can t help you there. We got a good deal on the room price, so in our view, well worth it.
This is my first stay with AC and it wasn't with a well beginning. I am traveling in Europe (France/Vienna/Italy) and have redeemed my Marriott rewards point for my hotel stays. Marriott is running a promotion where you can free breakfast with a paid stay. As mentioned, all of my stays are via redemption but I was fortunate to get free breakfast at other countries. I used my mobile app to check in but I also had to provide a passport for checking-in. I had 'high floors and extra pillows' on my Marriott profile and was given room #717 (the highest floor) with awful view. The room was good in terms of size, functioning AC and comfortable king size bed. I love the hardwood floor but also hate it as it is super loud that I can hear room #718 walking around from 9pm to midnight. She was definitely in heels and had been moving some chairs. I ended up had to call the receptionist asking for assistance since the noise was driving me insane. Thank God, she stopped after she was told. The shower was good but the water pressure can be improved. The clear glass sink is my favorite. Housekeeping isn't the best as they forgot to replace toilet paper. There's a safe and mini-bars in the room. Staffs were helpful in providing some guidance to eateries around the area. The manager didn't provide complimentary breakfast and it is 10 euro pp. I checked the room rate and it was 65 euro per night including breakfast. Had I known the room is so affordable, I would have opted to pay instead of redeeming my points and got free breakfast! I urge management to consider treating guests who are redeeming the same as paying customers.
A business hotel without a business center? That doesn't quite work. A business hotel without an iron or ironing board to press your clothes after travel? Not really what you'd expect. Other notable items missing - washcloths, box of tissues (they give you two in a plastic sleeve and don't replace after use), in-room coffee. My room's servicing wasn't very good either, took away my used bath towels (even the one I left on the hanging rack) and did not replace them. Did not replace my soap. The restaurant breakfast and dinner are good. The staff are friendly. The location is fine for walks into town. The place could be improved with some attention.
Stayed here 2 nights. Good location, decent hotel at an affordable price. Requested a king bed and got a huge bed that turned out to be 2 queens pushed together so don't sleep in the middle. Front desk was helpful, would stay again. Room 614 had a nice view of the mountains and Brescia Castle
