A brand new hotel a short walk from the main train station, the Schnoor district and the old Harbour area. This is a very thoughtfully designed, clean and well run establishment. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room, the excellent bathroom, shower and the thoroughly modern, comfortable design. Elevators are quick, lobby bar is excellent, and food is good. Someone in the kitchen cares a lot about everything on the menu, delivering a pleasingly delicious repast. Oh, and it is very affordable. I will be staying there again!

We stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago and on our trip back from Denmark we stayed a few more days in Bremen. Motel One is an excellent place to stay with its central location, own car park and moderate prices for a decent room and breakfast. We had a room on the first floor this time and it was roomy and clean with a nice shower and a clever lay-out. The breakfast was good, not luxurious but everything fine. We also had a drink in the inner courtyard which closes at 10 p.m. in order to avoid disturbing guests that need to go in early. We went to see the different viewpoints in central Bremen on foot from the hotel but you can also rent a bike here and the tram stops right in front. You are close to the Beck's brewery (visits possible) and also the party mile of 'Der Schlachte' with its many restaurants and bars alongside the river Weser. It is also nice to make a boat tour through the harbor of Bremen.

So the hotel is at the start of a few roads, they all lead to the old town. One road takes you along by the river with its numerous bars and restaurants and another street takes you via all the main shops. It’s a 5-8 minute stroll to the old town and perhaps a 10 minute stroll to the Schnoor region. It’s a great location. The hotel is clean and pretty well sound proofed. I had a room overlooking the Main Street and I couldn’t hear anything with the windows shut, not even the trams. The reception staff were efficient but not overly friendly. The bar staff were more friendly and chatty. It’s a shame motel one doesn’t have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms as I think they would then be pretty perfect.

It is a classic Motel One with usual very good quality, i.e.: wide bed, clean room, clean bathroom It is centrally located and within walking distance of the train station (15-20min). The staff was very friendly and courteous. The only irritating thing is that the door is locked at night and you have to ring the bell and show your keycard to get in. If by chance the night service has to do something else, then unfortunately you stand 10min in front of the door, unattractive in the deepest night when it rains.

A typical Motel One, very well located, basic rooms but enough for what is needed for a night. The only down side in this hotels is the breakfast. It gets really busy and the “restaurant” is not the comfiest of all. Also if you happen to spend a whole business travel in Motel One the breakfast gets quite tiring, as there are not many options.

N53°04′44.11″ E08°48′00.05″ We arrived at Flughafen Bremen and within 30 minutes after landing reached Motel One Bremen with tram/Straßenbahn 6 and bus 25. The public transport stop Am Brill (Martinistraße) is 50 meters away. Motel One (not a motel but an ordinary hotel) is located in the "Altstadt" of Bremen on the corner of Bürgermeister Smidt Straße and Am Brill. This new hotel was a former office building. This explains the unusual U-shape of the hotel, with rooms in three connected buildings in a U-shape. After our stay at Motel One Munich, we expected a small and overcrowded lobby and a tiny room. Motel One Bremen had a large café as lobby with a lot of space and an outside courtyard. The large lobby is needed for the enormous amount of breakfast guests in the morning. Our room 546 on the fifth floor (6F) in May 2018, overlooking Am Brill, had a more acceptable room size. The Motel One organisation did not make the same space-saving mistake as in Munich. This new room had a comfortable double bed, a great shower, ample storage space, television, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi reception. Our room was equipped with USB sockets in case you forgot your charger. Although the room has a large window for fresh air, we slept with closed window and air conditioner turned on to keep out the street noise, especially from trams (streetcars). Trams on the level rail crossing make a thundering loud noise. Next time we ask for a room in the other buildings. Although many reviewers complained about the attitude of reception staff, our check-in was smooth and friendly. One day the housekeeper forgot fresh towels. The reception provided them quickly. Breakfast consists of a buffet in the lobby. Nothing cooked or fried except boiled eggs. The buffet has a large choice of bread, pastries, croissants, cheeses, cold meat, yoghurts, fruit, cereals, coffee, tea and milk. Motel One emphasis the organic quality of their breakfast buffet. We paid €102 per night without using an online travel website. Motel One Bremen offered a real hotel room with good breakfast for an average price. Do not take a room in the front building if you want to sleep with open window.

For our stay in Bremen, and after the good experience in Brussels, we decided to stay once more in an hotel of the German chain MotelOne, famous for its nice design. The hotel has an excellent location (less than 10 minutes walking from the Rathaus and the other main attractions of the city, and a few more from the Central Station) As per their standards, room is pretty small and basic (little or no furniture at all; maybe just a safe would be appreciated). The bathroom is small too, but the shower is very good. On the other hand, the lobby and the common areas are spacious (and nicely decorated). Breakfast is delicious, with a wide range of choices. It might be a little crowded, depending on the hours. Juices could be better.    Attentive and helpful staff.

Great location, short walk to the city center and Weser boardwalk. Nice and clean room, not large, but sufficient and quiet. OK breakfast and a nice but somewhat expensive bar. Will definitely stay here again.

Motel One chain is reasonable for the price. The room itself was small but I love that they have a lot of balconies. Didn’t take part in the breakfast. Got a great nights sleep. Very convenient location for the old town. The onsite parking was difficult process. I arrived in the car and wanted to park before checking in but the person on the intercom said it was full. So I had to find somewhere to park, check in and then was given the okay to try again. Back to the car, go into the garage to find it half empty. More hassle after a long drive that didn’t need to happen.

We visit Bremen most years for the Xmas markets and used this chain of hotels as we had previously stayed in one in Vienna. It did not disappoint great hotel and staff just a couple of things that would make it perfect would be some English tv channels BBC world service did not work. Would also be nice to have something warm for breakfast even if it was just toast. All in all fab hotel and we will book again.
