I stayed here for work and it was a nice place to stay. Getting to the hotel from the airport was easy - a quick tram ride away. Check in was easy, and the front desk staff very kind and helpful, especially as I haven't spoken German since I was in school 15 years ago. We were given free tickets which covered our bus and tram travel whilst we were there, so that was really helpful. The restaurant and bar were nice and welcoming, and a pleasant way to spend an evening. Being close to the train station would be very convenient, although there was a little noise at times. It did offer a great place to buy something in the middle of the night. The area around is good, but be a bit careful that some parts of the square are slightly 'seedier' parts, so you may want to be careful if you're travelling on your own or with young children.
Have to spent a night in lovely Bremen. We choose this great locating hotel. It is a very simple one with minimum effort to satisfy the guests. The towels are in very bad shape. The other amenities are minimal. Service is so so.
The room was comfortable but quite noisy. My room was facing the train station and the acoustic isolation was not good enough, therefore could hear the trains. Furthermore, the last night one track was delivering something just below my room from 6:00 am and I could not sleep from that time...
Hotel location is excellent couldn't get closer to the transport or park or centre of everything. The hotel was clean breakfast plentiful. Cannot fault it have recommended it to family and friends who have already booked their trip
I had three great days staying at this hotel. Great service, even greater buffet breakfast and I'll be back! The location is more than good, allows one to wander through the Bremen with ease. The free ticket for public transport was included in the price.
Easy to find, very clean and good hotel. Nice extra is to get the daily ticets to the transportation. Also a big terrace in fronf of the building and a bar at the hotel. Excellent breakfast with a chef.
Very nice hotel. Free wifi. Clean rooms very nice and helpful front desk agent. Room includes a good breakfast for $90 usd 3rd floor room with a queen bed and a nice bathroom and a great view of the city from the window. It's worth the money and was great for the emergency we had with the train mixup would recommend it.
Excellent location backing onto main Bremen Railway station. The reception staff excellent and very helpful. Room size adequate. Shower cubicle with excellent shower, liquid soap supplied. Single duvet on a double bed for single occupant, one pillow, extra one supplied at once by reception. Bed very low and very hard, not the most comfortable. Breakfast is mix of cold and hot , various teas , fruit juices and coffee. Excellent for short break .
Great weekend. Comfortabel rooms, bit noisy. Everything near by. Taxi, bus, train, tram and the city are close. Bremen is a nice old town, with a lot of things to do. Nice restaurants, bars, and a lot of touristic sightseeing.
We stayed at the Hotel InterCity in Bremen at the end of May and, as we had stayed there before, we asked for a quiet room. There is a considerable noise problem at this location, but it is convenient for the station and the trams as the room card covers local tram & bus fares. The room we had asked for was a double but we were given a twin and when we enquired later we were told that we could have the room we had, a quiet business class room or the one we had requested which would not be so quiet. We naturally opted to stay in the quiet room. The previous time we stayed there we didn’t sleep a wink in the week because of the constant rumble of trains and these are very long freight trains through the night. The reception staff were very efficient and spoke excellent English. The housekeeping staff were also very efficient and thorough. The breakfasts were good but not what you would call 4 star; plenty of cereals, fruit, cold meats and cheese, yoghurt and some cake. The hot food left something to be desired though. We have never seen such overcooked bacon and it wasn't just on 1 day but several. There was a choice of hard boiled eggs ( 6 mins or 8 mins); the scrambled eggs were the usual lumpy mess but you could request a fried egg; there were baked beans and cooked tomato with melted cheese on top. We asked for a teapot but were told just to make tea in a mug. Other InterCity hotels have had a better choice. The position of the hotel is very convenient as the rail station is yards away and the bus/tram station is across the taxi rank outside the hotel. The trams are very frequent and run to the airport every 6 minutes most of the day, taking just over 10 minutes to get there for a €1.70 fare single. After you arrive, your room card covers the fares, so you can take the tram to the town centre where there are numerous places to eat or further to the river and the Schnoor district. We have been to Bremen 4 times and like the area. You can travel to Bremerhaven, Hannover or Hamburg in 1 hour and the flight is budget, absolutely no frills, and only 1½ hours from Edinburgh. I don’t think we will stay at the InterCity again (unless the price is really exceptional) because there are other quieter hotels. The InterCity should really think about putting shutters on the windows to make the train sound less invasive.
