I booked four nights at this hotel in order to attend at conference at Bremen University. The hotel is conveniently located at the edge of the campus, and also has a nice restaurant with quick and friendly staff. The hotel was perfect: clean, good bedding, quiet, nice in-room amenities, and next to the woods and city park which are perfect for a morning jog. Staff was helpful and spoke good English. Definitely recommended!
quite location next to a small water body. rooms are nice and neat but no air conditioning. hotel is comfortable and has a decent restaurant. food is nice. breakfast spread is lavish and worth the trouble
I spent one night here on a business trip. The room was spaciously, clean, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant served an excellent dinner and a vast selection for breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly.
I just spent five nights here on a business trip. It is super covenient if you are visiting the nearby University or high tech companies, but is a bit of a drive into town if you are a tourist. Rooms are large by European standards and very clean. Parking is available (at a cost), and the wi-fi worked without issue. Breakfasts and the one dinner I had there are of a good standard. The staff all spoke good to excellent English, and more importantly were very polite and went out of their way to be helpful. I'd gladly stay there again.
Usually staying with friends when visiting Bremen, this time we had to stay three nights at a hotel. Among the multitude of possibilities we chose Atlantic Universum, because of the quiet location at the outskirts of the city, within walking distance of the university and the excellent tram (Strassenbahn) connection to the city centre. Gated car parking, friendly reception, and business like room except for a missing safety box. At the reception they offered 5-euro coupons in case we didn't want room cleaning. A somewhat strange offer that we politely declined. We had chosen a room with air condition because of the unusually hot weather, and thought that the hotel for environmental reasons hadn’t put on the air-condition, but after fiddling with the settings we only succeeded in getting more noise from the ventilator. After an excellent breakfast outside the Campus restaurant, which has a large and tasty selection of almost anything you wish for, we complained about the missing air-condition at the reception, where they told us couldn't get any better because of the unusual hot weather. Still they promised to have a technician take a look. After a convenient ride on tram number 6, we spend a beautiful and hot day strolling through the old parts of the city, eating in the old Rathaus Keller. Arriving back at the hotel the reception took pleasure in telling us that the air condition was now working. It certainly was and delighted we were. After that everything about the hotel was pure bliss. We only have one small reservation. Billing itself a conference hotel it might be less convenient if they were hosting a large conference at the same time.
We were passing by Bremen and needed somewhere to sleep for the night. We booked online. When we arrived with our 3 year-old son the staff offered us a free upgrade to better suit our sleeping arrangements. Our son was also given a cuddly toy. The room was nice with a big bathroom and a separate toilet. Some drinks were included from the mini bar. Room service was good, fast and reasonably priced. Very nice breakfast buffet with table service from very attentive staff. All at a very reasonable price. If you don’t need to be very central I would highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed at the Atlantic with my wife and baby. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were given a baby bed which was great. The room was clean. Breakfast was very reasonable and to a great standard. A little out of the city but a nice drive there along the park. Highly recommend the hotel.
Stopped here not by choice, but placed by a company I was working for, I am normally sceptical about 3 star hotels, however this hotel was excellent on all levels. The staff all spoke acceptable English, but if they do or they don't, that does not bother me as long as they are willing to help and these guys wanted to on all levels. The entrance is big and roomy, but it does not have the weight of a old fashioned hotel, but the feeling is light and airy. Check in was swift and getting up to the room was easy and again a nice surprise with the room, light and airy with reasonably good wifi. My view out of the window over the car park was not the best, but you get what you pay for. My colleague and I had dinner in the restaurant and again the quality of the food was excellent, far in excess of the normal quality offerings from hotel restaurants. The breakfast has a wide choice of items and great coffee. The bar and service was again excellent with very pleasant surroundings. So what is my little gripes to give this a 4 in lieu of a 5, a little more attention when someone is stood at the bar, walk in showers in lieu of baths and a tidy up of the greenery outside, yes all picky I know, but attention to detail and all that. So all in all a great stop over hotel and when I go back, I will certainly be stopping there again and eating in the hotel.
Convenient business hotel next to the University. Best thing is the vicinity to a large park that makes it perfect for a morning run. Staff was flexible and friendly (early check-in and late check-out). Only (major) let-down was, that it was not impossible to get lunch as the whole restaurant was occupied by a big group and the kitchen claimed to be unable to prepare a dish a la card...
It was not a very good experience for us, a beautiful location but the rest left a lot to be desired...the room had a lot of deficiencies, there were no drinks in the fridge and the staff should be more polite and attentive to guests needs...
