Good stay but some problems
The apartment is well located with lovely views. It's a short walk to the beach by steep hill or steps which was fine for us. It's located in the nice quiet part of Brela which we loved. The apartment was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided which was lovely, the cleaners were very happy and friendly - the owner not so much.
When we arrived, we were given the wrong apartment. The one we booked had a twin room and a double room with two terraces. The one she gave us was a double room with a sofa bed and only one terrace. She had obviously double-booked the same apartment and we were incredibly fortunate that the guests in our apartment were happy to swap, so we ended up in the correct apartment although we weren't able to check-in until 6pm.
The hot tub was not clean so we asked them to change the water but the owner really did not want to do this, the following day we insisted and the water was changed, but the owner was not very friendly with us. Perhaps she thought we were being annoying. I had asked in advance whether there would be any beach mats to borrow and she told us no, however some other guests (who we met on the beach and were Bosnian) were told there were spare mats and things in the garage that they could help themselves to. It would have been nice if we were offered this as well.
There are not enough parking spaces, so another guest quite aggressively asked me to move my car late in the evening while I was in my dressing gown which I did. I was then blocked in by someone else and luckily we decided not to go out that day, but if we had we wouldn't have been able to. I also came across another guest who was having the same issue and couldn't get hold of the owner.
The shower head in one of the bathrooms was broken and flooded the bathroom so needs fixing (a minor issue).
