First pic is the view from the balcony. Second pic is the view of the unit/building from outside. River Mountain House is so accommodating and the 24/7 front desk with coffee and tea station was a very helpful added treat. The location was perfect! A short walk to gondola and across the river from the town. The unit was perfect too! Beds were so comfy, so many touches that were just so thoughtful, it was immaculately clean, and the view was sensational. We loved going to sleep with the windows open to hear the babbling river below! The unit has a balcony off the kitchen/common area and a bigger balcony off the main bedroom. What a treat!Hosts were responsive and kind. We loved it. Kids are age 9 and 12, we had. Lee than enough space for our family of four. My only “complaint” was that we had to leave.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!! We could walk to everywhere in downtown Breckenridge—-restaurants, shops, and nightlife. The unit itself is cozy on the main floor—-would feel too tight for more than 4 adults—-but suited our needs perfectly. The upstairs bedrooms were very spacious and the primary bedroom had a huge balcony off of it looking into downtown Breckenridge.The hosts rep replied instantly when I had questions and were nothing but kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

This condo was absolutely perfect for our summer trip to Breckenridge! We had two couples so the two bed/two full bath was ideal. But maybe the best part was the location…you can literally walk anywhere in Breckenridge from this condo! It’s maybe a 5min walk to The Maggie if you plan to stay here for ski season. The condo was very clean, had plenty of towels, had fans for summer which not every condo provides so that was much appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed with plenty of plates and silverware. These seem like small details but as someone who comes to Breckenridge 2-3 times a year for vacation these little details make a difference. The check-in process was easy. Parking was not an issue. We had a couple questions during our stay and the hosts were very prompt with their responses. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Fantastic!

This place is so centrally located - we could walk or take public transport anywhere, and mostly we walked! It was so nice to stay somewhere so close to things, and it fit our needs perfectly for lunch at the VRBO and dinners out. The river made for great white noise, and the cool mountain air kept the place cool at night without being too much. Loved every minute! Highly recommend!

Great unit, great spot!

This is a perfect unit for using as a home base in Breck, giving quick and easy access to the entire town via the hike/bike trail along the river and to the gondola. The unit was exactly as described and as pictured online. Doug and Katie were responsive and helped make our visit smooth. Loved hearing the rushing Blue River below the balconies. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect condo for exploring Breck

We really loved this condo. The location can’t be beat! I have plenty of space for our family, to adults and our adult children. The only thing that was a little unclear is neither of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. Each has a sink in the bedroom, and upstairs there is a shower in a toilet That could be shared between the bathrooms. There is also a full bath downstairs. It wasn’t a big deal, but I wish I had known in advanced! Definitely pack a bathrobe!

Family winter gathering

This place was great for our family of 5 adults—all had beds. It was just as described-clean & comfortable. Owners were quick to respond, easy check in/out. We were within easy walking distance of everything we needed. Skiing ended up right across the street. We also used the fitness room and enjoyed the hot tub and extras such as hand cream, tissues, pool towels, and towels for wiping up snowy boots. We would stay here again.

GREAT condo and GREAT location!

This is my first review ever... we loved this condo! If you've never stayed at River Mountain Lodge... the location is unbeatable. One of my fave things about Breck is the river that runs behind Main Street. You can walk out of the Lodge right onto the river sidewalk. The whole vibe of Breck downtown and the river-kids playing in the river, people enjoying restaurant patios, the occasional live musician here or there, people with their pups all around-I love it. Unfortunately, many of the Lodge condos are run down. The lobby area (didn't use) is SO rundown. We didn't end up using the pool/hot tubs (close at 9:00!) but they looked fine and were being used! But THIS particular condo is NOT rundown. Three of my girls (16-22) were with us... we could not get over how fresh and "cute" :-) everything felt. The hard-surface flooring, WHITE bedding and WHITE towels especially made everything feel so fresh and clean. The owners have thoughtfully provided basic toiletries, swim towels, laundry soap (machines are in the unit!), TVs in both bedrooms, and everything we needed in the kitchen. The plug-in AC on the main floor works GREAT. We had pretty hot days there and were thankful for it! Upstairs, we left the curtains closed during the day but windows open (except the skylight), used their box fans and were fine. Finally, their patios overlook the river. In the morning, a perfect tree shades the rising sun. Morning coffee on that patio and river sounds to sleep by = love love love.

Wonderful Condo

We absolutely loved this Breckenridge condo!! It is in a prime location near Main Street and overlooks the river and mountains. The condo is beautifully decorated, has very comfortable beds, including the sofa bed, and was very clean. It was well-stocked with many necessities. The owners were very quick and kind in responses. We do plan to return.

Great mountain condo!

Location of unit can’t be beat, downtown on one-side and mountain in the other. Very clean, well appointed condo. Family really enjoyed their time! Host was responsive and courteous. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Ski & Town Location

Had a great 4 night stay and skied everyday. Bus at front door brings you to gondola in one stop. Ski down 4 o’clock and end across street from front door. Cozy space - to relax and rest while not skiing. Easy walk to all restaurants and shopping. Loved it :-)

Presidents’ Day weekend 2024

We got in touch with Doug and Katie about their property so that my sons and I could have a quick ski trip without much hassle . This place is very close to the gondola and close to Main Street - so it checked all of our boxes. Clean, very well equipped and easy check in and check out.

Great Locale for both work and play and excellent host

Booked a bit of an extended stay so I could work remotely using the stand-up desk. Managed to get a few days of skiing in while we were there too. Easy walk to the gondola and downtown, perfect place to work and play!! Great hosts easy to communicate with and own a great property!! Thanks Doug and Katie for making it a great couple of weeks.
