The chap behind reception was very welcoming and informative. The bed was super comfy and the huge tv was a bonus! Really quiet room so we slept really well. Generally a really good stay. Only issues we had were the toilet brush was filthy with dirty water at the bottom of the brush and the carpet in the room desperately needs a clean there were coffee spills and marks all over it, but In all a really good stay we will come back. No issues with parking either :)

Slightly daunting check in process with a list of extra costs for everything including coming in late, parking and losing your key. However the room was clean and tidy, the breakfast smelt lovely though we did not book for breakfast. There was a bar there but it was unmanned and you had to request drinks

This is a lovely quaint hotel, the staff are very friendly and attentive and the hotel was clean and friendly. It had a nice atmosphere and felt very welcoming, the breakfast was good in the morning and the bar and outside patio area are nice touches.

Good overall

We had a slight problem when we arrived but the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful and sorted it out. Family room was not big but clean, plenty of storage and beds comfy. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast was not good. Everything was over cooked and dry and(in my opinion) seemed warmed up after being cooked a long time previous. However there was plenty of toast and cereal! Location was great too. 10 mins walk to beach and town centre

It’s okay

Our room was a standard room which was on the small side. The bathroom was clean but the room carpet was stained probably from tea and coffee. Unfortunately when we stayed there was building work happening on the establishment next door and each morning we were woken by the builders arriving, speaking loudly to each other and also swearing.we were not informed of this before we turned up! On our first night we were kept awake by the people in the room underneath. The breakfast was very nice, the staff we met were friendly We were told it was £10 to park in the car park for the duration of our stay which we paid. Unfortunately this is not guarantee you a space. It is a first come first served basis, so for the second night we had to park on a street around the corner. Overall we had an okay stay but not sure if we would stay there again

Unreliable Water Supply

Unfortunately our room was affected by water pressure problems, this meant on the morning of departure I was stuck in the shower for 10 minutes covered in soap with no water supply as it cut out half way through. When it eventually returned it was cold. I contacted the hotel afterwards and they said this was because of water use in the street and it was out of their control...just keep this in mind therefore before booking. Overall we found our stay poor value for money.

Smelly reception (lingering/ancient deep fried food smell); no free parking availble altough guaranteed on our booking (restricted availability was listed in the 'small prints' notes on booking.com but not on the hotel.com site that we used - we had to pay 10 £ for one night in a nearby parking space) and reverberating (not so good) live music from a loudy private party playing until at least 23:00 (not terribly late but we were tired). I'm glad ours was a deluxe double room (if it was) - I do not think we would have fit into a regular one. Scant amenities. One towel per person: I realize this is an English touristy hotels feature, but inconvenient. We were kindly given ONE extra towel upon request. Sad continental buffet breakfast, but eggs very well done to order (we weren't very hungry, so we didn't go for traditional breakfast).

Close to the beach

The hotel was ok and the staff did their best to be helpful but our room was so hot and the windows didn’t open (which was known about by staff and hadn’t been fixed). The shower was a trickle of water and it was just disappointing for the cost of the room. I could have paid half the price for a premier inn which would have been better with air con and breakfast included.

Central small hotel

Stayed there before be a use it is good value for money and comfortable. We had a different room which was on the top floor and spacious. But we found the shower challenging in that it stayed cold for a long time and then turned to hot and back again, not ideal. I also struggled with the lock to the door and had to be rescued from outside. Breakfast is very good.

Overnight stay

We checked in around 19;30 and checked out the following morning before 8:30 and only used our ground floor room to sleep in. It was warm, clean and comfortable. We only met 1 member of staff who was helpful and friendly. We didn't make use of any of the facilities and had a room only option. Although the Hotel car park was full, we found a large car park nearby and then moved to street parking outside. The location was close to plenty of restaurants, etc. and it served our purpose well.
