We needed a place to stay for our daughter‘s college graduation at the Prudential Center. (about a 10 minute walk, 15 or so to Newark Penn station) This apartment was fantastic for this purpose. The VRBO apartment was exactly as pictured in the photographs but felt even larger in person than it seemed in the images. The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean, well stocked, included all of the necessities to clean or maintain any issues we had and it felt like a very secure building. Aside from a couple minor issues we encountered, our stay was exactly what we had hoped for. The management company was immediately responsive to all of our inquiries and issues. They were friendly and definitely aimed to make our stay comfortable and incident free. The included washer and dryer was very helpful and there were plenty of products in the apartment to meet our needs, except for shampoo/ conditioner which may have been mentioned in the description as being included. We brought our own so it wasn’t a problem but don’t forget yours if you do stay here. There really were only a few things of note to be prepared for: first is that this apartment flanks a moderately busy street so there will be noise from the nearby schools and traffic, etc. It felt well insulated, but some noise definitely was audible which should be expected in a city stay. Another wish we had for the place was that there were room darkening shades/curtains. The shades definitely gave privacy but let quite a lot of light filter through which made sleeping challenging for those of us adjusting to a new time zone. There is a parking lot across the street from the unit that has an attendant for most of the day. There is an electric gate which is operated by a key fob you will receive when you access the apartment. The entire process was simple and we felt that our car was in a secure place. Because we had our car it was easy to explore the adjacent cities and areas, which was almost necessary as there were very few dining options in the immediate area that we saw. Oh and a baking sheet would have been helpful (probably the only cooking tool we could find seemed to be missing.) We will definitely stay here again when we visit Newark!
