The check in process was smooth with good communication about it and easy, free parking. Linens were clean. The location was what I needed, but this is absolutely not a "cozy one bedroom house." While there is a separate entrance, there is only a door separating this upstairs area from the rest of the house where you can hear everything going on downstairs. It would be more appropriate to call this a private area in a shared house. The carpets were worn and could use a deep clean. The "kitchenette" is not at all functional. The faucet on the sink is too big which causes water to easily spray out of the sink when attempting to wash any dishes. There is no counter space to actually use any of the appliances provided. There was a coffee maker, but not coffee.

Wonderful and peaceful

My daughter & I had a lovely stay at this darling property. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and the location was perfect, quiet and peaceful. Located in a quaint neighborhood it was perfectly located near family we were in town to visit in nearby Rockland & Braintree. Easy drive to/from Boston Logan & had we gone into the city during our trip it would have been an easy drive. Parking is right at the front door.Some reviews mentioned barking dogs & crying children. No dogs to speak of during our stay & the baby is a bit older now age 4/5. No louder than any other household. You do hear the family walking on raised foundation flooring but this is normal for an older home of this style & did not bother us. This is an apartment attached to the back of a family home & located behind their kitchen. You can hear they are home but it was not a problem for us & we did not feel like we needed to be extra quiet like some others mentioned. I found this to be a non-issue.Minus 1/4 star because the bathtub had pink mildew all around the grout area & there were no cleaning products in the apartment for me to spray it down. It wasn't a big enough issue to bother the homeowner, but it would have been nice to be able to take care of that myself. The apartment itself was otherwise immaculate & I'm sure the mold was due to it not having been used recently & the wet weather they had been having in the area. Overall I'd say 4.8 stars!!! We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful quiet hideaway just minutes from Boston

My wife and I stayed here the weekend of my graduation from graduate school. We absolutely loved the cozy feel and wonderful location in a quiet suburb of Boston. Easy access to both light rail and the T made it an ideal place to stay while exploring Boston, but it was far enough out that when you went home at night there was no city noise. I will absolutely stay here again any time I am visiting the Boston area and would 100% recommend for couples and smaller families.

It was nice but it’s an addition

The place was nice and clean. It is an addition to someone’s home so you can hear them through the walls which is slightly annoying since I woken up by it. We were really nervous to make noise and disturb them so it did not feel private. Kitchen is just as it shows in the listing and there is coffee and a mini fridge. All you need if you don’t cook. You need to wash dishes and mugs in the bathroom sink. Polite owners.

Comfortable place to stay and sleep. Close enough to stores and things to do, but not too close. The lack of streaming services provided and the noise from adjacent apartment was somewhat disappointing. Overall a good place to stay and rest for a night, but not much else to do within, would probably suggest to bring your own form of entertainment.

Very nice location 3 min walk from park with nice long trails around the marshes. Property is very clean with new carpet and very pleasant host. Highly recommended for your stays in Boston area.
