We stayed in room with wet room style bathroom which had just been installed. Water not just leaked but surged from the bathroom onto carpet in bedroom. We reported this but frankly staff at reception were disinterested. The air con did not work in the room and it became much too stuffy. We had to sleep with both windows open so we heard lot of road noise. Again disinterest when we reported it. Breakfast was disappointing and we noticed that the window ledges beside he tables had not been cleaned for some time. Very few staff in dining room for breakfast and supplies were not replenished. Very poor.

The hotel rates itself 4* when it’s more akin to a 2*. The staff are not wholly friendly (when taking the shuttle in the morning we got neither a hello or goodbye). The room looks decent but has polyester bedding and cheap pillows - we asked to change pillows and were told that only the premium rooms (€160 per night) have the decent pillows. I’m not sure if I’m losing sense, but when I pay €130/night I expect a decent comfortable sleep. Otherwise I would have stayed in a budget brand for same quality.

My daughter and I stayed here in July as we had a 6am flight from Bordeaux to Amsterdam. The hotel was perfectly situated close to the airport with very clean (but small) rooms. The staff were very helpful. Good restaurant that was very accommodating for my picky children.

Close to airport and business area with all comfort with French standard Accor group. Nice rooms with update furnitures Restaurant (diner) with limited choice but good quality. Professional personnel.

I love this hotel. Although I only ever stay for one night, prior to catching a flight home to the UK. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Each time I've stayed, my room has been decorated entirely differently, no corporate cloning here! Always a nice meal in the restaurant but personally I would like to see more choice. However you would be completely spoilt for choice in Bordeaux which is just a few minutes away. I wholeheartedly recommend this Mercure hotel, that's why I keep coming back.

This cozy hotel is very home-like, it lets you feel invited to a villa with a small pool and a bar. Rooms are clean and vast, the team is friendly and clients-oriented. Even though we had our rooms booked for 3 nights only they kindly left us in our rooms for one more night (not to make us live between two Spanish families).

I stayed in this hotel twice. Once when arriving in Bordeaux and once the night before my flight out. The 1st night, I was just so pleased to have finished a 19 hour journey (includes drive to airport, flight, layover, and another flight) that a hot shower, food, and a bed were more than enough to make me happy, but by the second stay after spending time in 3 other 4-star hotels, I was more critical. The hot shower that I had so enjoyed the first night I realized had an absolutely treacherous tub, with the bottom very rounded. The food, was less that stellar. The room had no air-conditioning and absolutely NO mechanical way to get the hot steamy air from that hot shower out of the rather small room. I called the desk to ask about the air-conditioning. I got the very typical answer, that the air had been turned off for the season. I asked if there was at least a fan option. The answer, “No, but you can open the window.” That might have been a reasonable answer, if I wan’t a few hundred feet from an extremely busy highway loaded with diesel fume belching, noisy vehicles and within a mile or two of a noisy airport. And I have always had an issue with European hotels that claim to be four star and turn the air-conditioning on and off on an arbitrary schedule that doesn’t consider the actual temperature. Overall, I suppose it’s an OK place for a night in-between arriving or exiting the area via the airport, but it’s certainly NOT worthy of four stars.

Professional and friendly staff that gave me all the info I needed as I had been to Bordeaux before but was driving through. I though being so close the airport would have been noisy and expensive to reach the city centre. My bad. Firstly, the bus stop was literally 5 mins walking distance from the hotel and only €1.60. Very organised as the bus has a sign stating every stop and I just followed the map and info the receptionist gave me. After a great night in Bordeaux I returned by bus at about 1am and had a great sleep. Comfortable bed, cosy room and clean. Breakfast is extensive and you can make your own omelette. I felt right at home.

It’s a shame, it is a very nicely, recently renovated hotel that claims to be non-smoking, but basically encourages smoking. Yes, there are no smoking signs all around, including on many of the room doors, but many doors don’t have the sign....and the rooms have ashtrays in them!! At night, the hallway on the 2nd floor reeked of smoke! My friend’s room ashtray had a little no smoking sign in it.....the one in my room did not (and it looked used). Maybe it’s a coincidence that my door didn’t have the no smoking sign on it. I went downstairs to complain I was put in a smoking room and that’s when I was told the entire hotel is non-smoking. I asked the obvious question, why is there an ashtray in my room?? And the answer was Accor requires they put them in the rooms. Seems very odd to me!! They declined to send someone to the floor to smell the smoke in the hallway. I will say my room thankfully did not smell of smoke, but that really isn’t the point, is it. One additional note, I am an AccorHotels gold member...I asked and was told I was upgraded (one of the gold benefits) but it was not true....I had the exact same room as my friends who booked the cheapest room. I find that extremely unprofessional.

Visited here with friends and found hotel to be a very pleasant hotel. Arrived just 5 min before restaurant closed but no problem getting meal which was really tasty. Wine list very good with some great value Bordeaux wines. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Breakfast very well presented. Overall a place we would stay again.
