Our experience at Discovery Shores Boracay exceeded all expectations, which were already set very high. The friendliness of the staff, their service, and the beauty of the resort is astounding. Our only regret was not staying longer. We'll definitely be returning in the future.
Discovery Shores Boracay is THE MOST PERFECT resort in Boracay if you want to relax and unwind! At the same time, its location is still close enough to Stations 2 and 3 if you need to go to there (plus they have free shuttle service for those who do not feel like walking along the beach). The service was impeccable. The food and drinks were really good.
Hotel staffs are the ones that really made the difference. The rooms are fantastic too. There may be rooms for improvement at the Sands bar though. The service at the restaurant is really...really slow. You'll have to wait 45mins to 1 hour for your food to be served. They will try to commit 30 mins, but be ready to pack some patience with you. It's gonna take a lot more than that. But overall, they have very courteous and polite staff. Service in all other aspects, except for the waiting time at the restaurant, is commendable.
We love Discovery Shores Boracay! Staying here doesn't feel like your a tourist at all. You're treated as a VIP in a hospitable Filipino's home. It's a timeless masterpiece along the pristine white sand beaches of Boracay. The food choices, rooms, amenities, excellent service, quiet beachfront, and fantastic view of the sunset are the reasons we keep coming back. Although there will be new hotels coming in with better amenities, Discovery Shores Boracay will always have the best service--genuine Filipino hospitality that is the signature of their brand. For families, the kids would love breakfast, the close proximity of the pool to the beach, the beach white sand area, kids activities and the food. I like how the food is geared towards family specially the special boodle fight at night.
The moment I heard about my boss sending me out for a corporate ad shoot in Discovery Shores, I was so stoked knowing it's a 5-star hotel, and it never failed me. From the port we were picked up by their free shuttle service and d driver greeted us with their signature "heart greeting" and offered refreshment candies before heading out to the hotel. Upon arrival, Patricia (d lovely Patricia) ushered us to our assigned "complimentary room" but mind u guys, even though we stayed there using inivitational passes, they still treated us like one of their regular guests. They got us the Junior Suite and it was very spacious, everything u need in a hotel room is already available. From towels, to appliance sets (iron with iron stand, blower, coffee maker) to toiletries (Roberto Cavalli shampoo, shower gel and conditioner)though we never availed it, they also have a welcome foot spa to all d guests d moment u step in to ur room and d food was also superb, the plating is great, showcasing Filipino cuisine (they also have foreign dishes) and we had a relaxing sleep with their very soft sofa beds and pillows The staff are all accommodating, they'd always greet u with a smile everytime u pass by and wud say "happy summer" And they are all willing to help u out and wud go extra mile in attending to ur needs. D beachfront is just breathless. Everytime i walk in their shoreline i can't help but take pictures and post it in Instagram. (Maybe because they maintain d exclusivity in their beachfronts w/c is good for d guests) the butlers and staffs wud offer pica2 in d afternoon and wud also send u afternoon snacks to ur room. Maybe they can still improve their breakfast buffet though (except for d hot choco, it tastes like melted MnM's) I get to interview some of their tenured staffs and they all said the same thing. In Discovery Shores, dey treat each other like a family. No wonder they provide d same exact treatment to all their guests. Wen i interviewed sir Erwin (hotel manager) he was soooooo down to earth. And I felt like i was just talking to a colleauge, he never made me feel inferior during d intrview (although at first i really felt nervous knowing dat i'd be intrviewing him for their anniversary) and he's so hands on to everything. He wud even arrange chairs and tables, fix d landscape, and approach d guests as well. Everything is clean and in order. They regularly change d flowers in table sets, sweep the sands in d hotel floors (although i love d white sand dirts) and change towels in ur room. Wen we checked out, they sent us via shuttle service to Caticlan and i love each of their staff's speil. From their guest relations, to their stewards, to their housekeeping, their spa attendants, food and beverage, and more. Overall, it was d best hotel experience i've ever had. Thank you Discovery Shores Boracay for making my 1st time in Boracay an unforgettable one.
The place is located in station 1, literally just a few steps away from the beach. The sand is so fine, and the area is quieter and more relaxing compared to the other stations in boracay. The food is amazing and there's a wide variety offered, and the rooms are perfect. The pool is also never crowded and cleaned well. It's not too sandy considering the beach is just there. Service is also good. The staff are so courteous and well-trained. I noticed they all acknowledge you, smile, greet, hands on their hearts (literally), when you pass by each other around the resort. It's a little too expensive and I'd probably never stay here if I'm the one paying for it (paid by parents yay!), but you rly do get what you paid for.
Stayed on a Friday and Saturday night with my teenage son. This was our annual office summer outing so we were around 60 persons at the resort during that time. The staff is very welcoming and courteous. They greet everyone a 'happy summer' all the time. The standard suite is very spacious with all the usual comforts. Very good shower. I noticed one of the bath towels on our first night looked like it should be retired. The towels on subsequent days were fine though. Aside from the fresh fruits that welcomed us, sweet local treats were brought to our room every afternoon. We stayed in suite 302 and the only really negative thing I have to note is the wi-if. Weak connection. Better connection in the common areas. I had my own mobile hotspot so I didn't bother complaining. As for the resort as a whole, the only negative for me is the size of the pool. Given the number of guests, and I noted there was construction by the roadside boundary of the property which will probably mean additional rooms, the size of the pool disproportionate. Enjoyed the free shuttle service and the late check out accommodated by the front desk since we had a late afternoon flight out. Will stay again but will avoid weekends when Boracay is just so crowded.
Attention to detail was impressive. My daughter sat in the sand to play and within a minute someone had noticed and brought her some sand toys. We planned to go out and do some other activities on boracay but couldn't take ourselves away from the hotel!
The pick up service was not arranged properly, but we are lucky to have Patricia to help us on the rest of transportation service and shuttle bus service. She is awesome and with good problem solving skill. Besides, our daughter had kid activity called pencil holder, Keanu is the one who is full of patient to teach the kids during the activity. Everyone in the resort is always smiling to greet their guests. I will definitely choose Discovery Shores again if I come to Boracay in future. Oh! And recommend to all my friends and family also. :)
We will be back! I've been going to Boracay for years. But this is the best resort so far. Wonderful and very courteous staff! Huge and very clean rooms and bathrooms. Great food. Great location in the middle of Station 1. We went there with our extended family of 12 and they comfortably accommodated us. Got the TWO BEDROOM SUITE PREMIER in the 3rd floor - it had the best view of the beach and the island directly from your own Jacuzzi!
