Great value for staying close to the beach and poblado. Clean room, restaurant only open on weekends. No coffee maker on the room. Secure parking was available. Our daughters enjoyed the pool. Employees were very nice and accommodating
Don't know of any place to stay with a better location, at least when it comes to anything other than private rentals (which you should check out.) You are in the middle of Boqueron close to all places to eat and drink (lots of choices and price ranges), and a ten minute walk to the public beach. The town is small, so when I say you are near everything, everything is within four blocks or less. The hotel is as basic as it gets (reflective of the 2 1/2 star hotel rating), it has a pool, but not an attractive space, and why would you be there anyway when you are in the middle of Boqueron, one of the nicest places in PR. I did not like the repeated front desk warnings that anything you do that damages anything in your room in any way will lead to fines, penalties, extra charges....the check in process left you with an uncomfortable feeling while in the room, afraid to touch anything and worried about leaving sand on the floor. And for what they offer, the price is way above what it should be. But location is everything, and if you are coming from San Juan, this is not a day trip, and besides, you want to enjoy the weekend night life - lots of people from all over PR in the streets or the 5-10 places to go for a late night drink....in short, the town can book up quickly, especially on long weekends, so this might be one of only a few places with availability. In that case, overlook the negative comments, enjoy the location and, no question, you will enjoy everything that makes this one of the best towns to spend a weekend in PR.
wow I have to say it was a great experience in Cabo Rojo im from Comerio but Cabo Rojo is the place the spot were my wife and I love to be since I propose marriage in Faro Los Morillos well last minute check in but everything was really awesome from the crew of the hotel the service was excellent treat us like family and the surroundings made you feel special the beach is good the food great but believe me any hotel that makes you feel like family deserve more that a 5 star rating thanks Parador Boquemar o and one of the employees I ask if they had cups for coffee and he serve me well thanks happy new year 2019 my family appreciates the stay
Visited Boquemar for a weekend: Initial room given did not match what was advertised or paid. I told the reception clerk and she said that booking online was a separate system and that it was better if I called, even when I booked using the hotel’s system!! After she called the manager, who never showed him or herself, a room matching what we paid and was advertised was given but with the clerk saying that it was superior to what we had reserved online. Only two tariffs are given online: standard and deluxe, I reserved deluxe. The restaurant is closed, even though their website says it is open. Clerk said they have the intention of reopening, but the restaurant was one of the biggest factor in deciding to stay here versus an AirBNB, which by the way are in much better conditions and cheaper than this hotel!! I had friends stating at AirBNBs and their rooms were outstanding!!! Reception clerk could not give me information on local attractions or activities and sent me to another town to look for information on water activities. A simple search online showed there is a local that offers the activities we wanted. Bathroom toilet did not flush properly. Cabinet and closet woods were in very bad shape. Parking was limited due to not having enough personnel to keep non-guests out of parking. Pool closes at 6:00pm. Cats walk freely inside hotel hallways. Checking out - your room has to be inspected by maids, which delays your checkout process and seems they are not prepared for a proper cleaning of sheets. I do not give it a 1 since it definitely could have beer worse!!! At least the room they gave me was what I paid for, but the service and facilities are very poor!!!
From the beginning it was a mess, first I got charge extra. When I questioned it they were like I’m sorry I assumed that since everyone had reservations for four night this week you also had the same days. They don’t keep anything on a computer sistem everything is done by paper. I call two weeks before the day we were staying to confirm via email and I never got the email confirmation. The cleanliness of the rooms are not the best and the service is awful. The restaurant is not working, the coffee service at the lobby only gets fill ones in the morning for the entire hotel. For 145$ a night there should be more to it than bad service and old raggedy room furniture. The small refrigerator in the room had issues with the door, it didn’t seal and noting got cold. I don’t recommend this third class motel to anyone.
Parador Boquemar has an excellent location in Boqueron. It is in the middle of the action. They provide clean rooms, with air conditioner and hot water, tv, and a small refrigerator. They are not a luxurious hotel and their rate per night consider this fact. It is closed to the nice beaches of Boqueron and Cabo Rojo. If you are looking for a 5 starts hotel room and expect to be in the room a significant part of the time, this is not the hotel for you. If you are looking for a clean room and visiting the beaches and all attractions of the area then this hotel is right for you.
Excellent location, central to all the nightlife and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Room was super clean, spacious and AC worked excellent. It's not fancy but it was perfect for our needs. The pool looked great but we didn't have a chance to use it. We will definitely be back!
Stayed there over Memorial day weekend. Located within walking distance of beach and Poblado. Nice people. Ample parking with armed guard at night. Simple and to the point. No luxuries, A/C rooms, hot water, reasonable breakfast, no elevator, nice people. Beds can be better. Needs renovation across the board. Family friendly. Perfect for 1-2 night crash to enjoy Balneario de Boqueron beach. Definitely a Parador not a fancy hotel. Priced at $135 breakfast included on a third story room. Could return to enjoy Boqueron charm next year...
Good place to stay, includes, free parking, a/c, shampoo, soap and towels. Small rooms, with TV small closet with hangers. The bathrooms are pretty small and have hot water. No smoking thru all the premises including balcony. Right in El Poblado, but not to close that night live would bother if you wanna sleep early. They also hace a pool we didnt got time to get in. Theres a restaurant downstairs La Cascada, home cooked food that wont rip your wallet, very unexpensive (only had breakfast, $7 for scrambled eggs and coffee).
Worst service ever! The reservation was supposed to include breakfast every day but after checking in, the breakfast was denied to us the second day.... We'll never come back to that so cheap and fraudulent place!!
