The location is perfect. Very close to the central station and the center of the city.Clean and nice rooms, the only thing that i didn`t like was the noise. The walls are thin and you can hear everything.
Nice and quiet hotel close to the Piazza Maggiore. Breakfast nothing more than barely sufficient. Breakfast-room was small and very noisy. Ended up dropping breakfast. Apart from that - happy about our choice.
I traveled to Bologna for one week-end course, so I chose this hotel based on the reviews, central position to city center and commodity to reach the training course. I took a single room and it was the most terrible room I had in a four stars hotel. The room located on the second floor was had the window to the back of the hotel, it was small and the furniture was old style, probably same age as the hotel. The windows of the room and bathroom were not closing, so the fresh freezing air was freely passing into the room. The heating system which supposed to be regulated actually worked on-very hot, off - freeze, there was nothing in the middle. The most terrific thing was the smell that came from the sewing system after shower. I had to keep the windows open for one hour. The rumor that came from the conditioners outside did not allow to sleep. The bathroom was dirty with many traces from the previous guest. The breakfast was not at the level of 4 stars but rather very poor and no choices for a healthy food. For those suffering of allergies (gluten or vegetarians) there is nothing to eat. There was no quality for the price I paid.
Nice hotel near the old town in Bologna. Nice staff and clean rooms. Remember to book non smoking room, if you will be sure not to get a room were guests have been smoking. Ok breakfast and WIFI working fine.
A classical city-centre ‘weekend’ break hotel. Staff are polite and helpful. Everything is very clean, and well presented. Breakfast has a good choice of cereals, cheeses, ham, bacon, eggs. No traffic noise in the room, which can be a problem in Bologna! I would return here.
We stayed here in june 2016. The hotel is situated on the Vis Dell Indipendenza. This is one of the mane streets in Bologna. It is only a 15 minute pleasant walk under the archways to the Piazza Maggiore. You can stop along the way for coffee or the typical local snacks. Our room was on the front of the hotel but it was quite with sound proof windows. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good with cereals juices fresh fruit cold cuts eggs and pastries. This central hotel is ideal for your stay in bologna.
Recently spent 3 days in Bologna. The hotel was recommended by family. Service was excellent and room was ready on arrival. A word of caution - if you want a room with a street view, you will have to put up with noise from the street if you open the window for some fresh air. The bathroom was cramped for space. The staff helped us move to a quieter, slightly larger room on the inside which was more comfortable. The hotel is based in a great central location with easy access to most of the city sights. The stop for the hop on - hop off bus is outside the hotel. At 14 euro, the tourist bus is a great way to orientate oneself. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent and was included in the room rate. You will need to go offsite for lunch and dinner though, but there are many options within a 5 minute walk. All-in-all a great experience.
From the outside the hotel looked very grand. However inside the staff were ok but not too friendly on arrival. I thought it was just because we had arrived All at once to check in. Day by day the friendliness didn't really improve. The room was decorated in a nice and unusual manner. Definitely in need of some modernisation. The bathroom had a beautiful sink with a huge crack. Tiles were missing and the shower was a trickle. The bedroom carper had a big stain too. The communal carpet of a black and white pattern was quite hard on the eyes and made the hallway very dark. The location was lovely and central with lots of restaurants and cafes all close by. The station was about 5 to 10 minute walk away. Be prepared for expensive travel. The bus station was only 5 minutes away too. A nice easy trip to the airport. There were a big group of travellers who took over the relaxing communal areas and loaded their bags with all the breakfast one morning. Unfortunately whilst we were staying next door had builders in quite early. We had a great time in Italy.
The Hotel is centrally located close to all attractions and restaurants. The staff were very helpful, attentive and resolved a minor plumbing issue in a professional and timely manner. The Hotel and room were very clean and tidy. There was a wide selection of foods for breakfast to meet all tastes.
This hotel was nice and had a good location on Via Independenza at historic center of Bologna. Staff was mostly very friendly and helpful, one guy was quite arrogant in the reception. The guy in evenings was very very helpful and customerfriendly. Told before arriving about my glutenfree needs and breakfast was just great! Hotelroom was a bit torn, but okay. Slept very well.
