The hotel is well positioned with manicured gardens and a lovely pool. The rooms are clean and well presented but a little dated. The breakfast was standard for Italy, with a variety of cakes and sweets. The best surprise was the pool with the barrel hot tubs surrounding the pool and many chairs and sun beds for sun bathing. The toilets in the pool area were quirky. There was also a bar which gave out free snacks such as chips and nuts as well as cold drinks and beautiful Italian coffee.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Had read a lot of reviews RE: swimming hats but this is not compulsory anymore it seems. We found the hotel food and drink to be very pricey and didn't eat there any night as there are some restaurants nearby. It is out a bit from Bologna but the bus services were very handy and a short walk across a bridge. Used the little gym too which was lovely. Pool area was lovely and very relaxing. Handy that you can book your sun beds in the morning at reception before breakfast. Breakfast was nice there was a lovely selection but on the days we were there some foods ran out quite quickly and were not replaced, same with bowls and cutlery. Overall a really nice relaxing place to stay.

Hotel is decent, rooms are a bit outdated, normal for a conference hotel. Staff was very helpfull. After we complained about our intial room (avoid room 272, smells bad and bathroom is not at advertised) we were transferred to a different room without any problems. Breakfast is Great, many options to choose from. We loved the pool! We were informed that the free bikes were note supposed to be used for going to the Bologna center, dissapointment for me as a Dutchman. Bus to Bologna center is close (drives every 30 min for 2 euro pp). Taxi is about 15 euro.

Above my expectations, very good hotel. We spent 3 days with family and was a great stay. Very close to Bologna, 10 minutes by car. Great breakfast, beautiful swimming pool. Big thank you to the staff

It's a good place... bit like an ibis.. basic rooms are quite small but with fridge, AC, room safe all included..wi-if is fast enough..breakfast is plentiful.. the staff are mostly teenagers who by any standard need a bit better training on effective communication ..by this I mean...it's the things they don't tell you ??.. so here they are.. You CAN book a sun bed by the pool...do this because there are more rooms than there are sun beds ??... so many people book a sun bed then disappear for the day...it's a silly system which meant loads of guests had no where to sit while there were a dozen set of empty beds around where we were sitting ALL DAY...COME ON HOTEL MANAGEMENT RE-think this.. YOU can book a table at the pool bar for lunch..if you don't you will have to wait until last..many people were unlucky and didn't get any food because the pool bar closed before everyone was fed. Same with the restaurant..just 18 tables for the whole hotel...book a table early..or be disappointed...we were shocked at the amount of people who came for dinner and were turned away because they didn't know they had to book !!! It takes 10-15 minutes to stroll to the town..there are dozens of great restaurants which have great food at a fraction of the price of the hotel restaurant...in fact there is a pizza restaurant less than 10mins from the hotel on the main road..it was great.. You can get a bus to the centre of bologna.you don't need a taxi...it's a 10 minute stroll to the bus-stop in front of the adjacent hospital...and it costs just 1 Euro 50 cents...taxi is 22 Euro to the city and 32 Euro to the airport. Lastly..check the bill before paying..we had some items we hadn't signed for added to our bill by the pool bar staff... most of the pool staff are more interested in texting their boyfriends...and flirting with each other than serving the guests ..I suspected they had made an "error" ..so when you sign the bill sign underneath the last item ..hmmmm. However the reception girls removed it without question when I queried it....don't think it's the first time it's happened ??. Overall it's a good place to stay..and recommended

The location of this hotel is good and makes it easy to get into Bologna centre by car. There is also a bus into the centre but a car is generally required. The rooms are very nice and the beds are comfy. Plus the pool is great, with lots of places to sunbathe and the staff are all very friendly. There is a wide buffet breakfast selection available. Both times we have visited there is been a joyous wedding going on; it looks like a great venue.

very convenient place to stay in Bologna. It's just outside of town which makes it easy to access the highways in the area, but it's just a short 15 minute ride into town. The hotel itself has very picturesque grounds. The pool area was nice enough, but the hot tubs are actually not hot and there is some question as to the pool procedure. After speaking to the front desk, I went down to the pool, where I was informed by lifeguard that I needed some kind of wristband and there just seem to be some confusion. If you speak to the hotel staff three different times about the same thing (the pool), one would think you would be informed about the rules. Not only that, but you need to bring the towels from your room if you don't want to be charged for using the towels poolside. The room itself was basic but adequate. The toiletries were very nice-- Fragonard. The bed was a little hard for our tastes, but after requesting a pillowtop cover it was much better. This was the highlight of their service. Also, on our second night of three, we requested an additional pillow, but for some reason when the maid cleaned our room, she removed the additional pillow so we did not have it for our third night. We could not find a 'do not disturb" option anywhere in the room to indicate that we did not want our room to be serviced. The free breakfast was pretty standard for the area-- good food options, good coffee. Also the layout of the hotel was overall strange, as there were many doors present which seemed to be entry and exit points, but there was no way to open them, even with a key. There only seem to be two entry/exit points despite there being dozens of doors. It was convoluted and confusing.

The location is perfect if you want to stay a little bit outside of Bologna but still have an an easy access to the city. From the airport, it is about 20 minutes by taxi, from the train station (High Speed Rail connection to Milano and Venice and Rome), the taxi is also about 25 minutes. There is a bus (#36) which leaves about 500 metres to the left side and takes about 45 minutes to get to the hotel, but the bus stop is less than 5 minutes from the Hotel. Another bus (#90) brings you from the Hotel to the Old City Centre and that takes about 25 minutes. Bus cost is 1.50 Euro, but bring change to the bus because the machine accepts exact fares only. The Hotel itself is really nice - try to get a room with a balcony because it will allow you to soak in the sun from your hotel. The pool is fantastic as well, it has a bubble bath corner, a shallow area for small kids, places to change, a good bar. Breakfast has a good variety of food catering to international tourists. Service at the hotel is good and the staff is really friendly. We had one small problem - we went to the pool bar to get a burger, it was 2.15pm and normally the pool restaurant closes at 2.30pm, but the friendly staff re-opened the kitchen for us so that we were able to eat. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, therefore we did not test the hotel restaurant, but the menu looked very promising.

Exempted from city tax. Breakfast was ok. I love the do it yourself pancake! Was surprised that they dont have any complimentary bottled water. But water is safe to drink according to them. So it was ok.

It's the third year we organized our annual meeting with the customers at Relais Bellaria and we are glad with this choice. Everything was perfect and the customers were more than happy and satisfied! The staff is supportive and kind for every necessity and the food much appreciated. We will reserve the hotel for next year's event for sure!
