I can not enough say enough about this hotel; comfy rooms, free breakfast, friendly staff and excellent in room wifi. It's in an excellent location and the staff are super helpful and friendly. Not to mention how budget friendly the price is. The bed could have been a little more comfortable. But overall I have to recommend this hotel.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The location is excellent. The plumbing isnt great but the heating is. Nice breakfast and Giuseppe was very helpful. Very handy to trains and taxis. A very quirky hotel with eclectic decorations. 👍
Stayed here for three nights with some friends and it is a lovely quirky hotel, the corridors are full of vintage memorabilia which is a nice touch. The location is great, close to the old town. It is less than 20 euros to get a taxi in from the airport, if there is a few of you, it's cheaper than the train. The hotel is basic enough but it is clean, comfortable and warm. The bathroom is spacious and the host and staff are very friendly. There was a reasonable choice for breakfast.
Excellent friendly service, especially by the owner Giuseppe and all the staff. Comfortable spacious en-suite room, lift, good standard Italian breakfast, unique décor in corridors with vintage memorabilia. Central location between train station and Piazza Maggiore all within reach on flat ground and numerous very good restaurants and cafe's open till midnight, shops, museums and attractions.
We came here for one night. Really enjoyed. Very comfortable. Interesting decor. Friendly staff. Great location right in centre of town. Great value for money. Offers delicious breakfast. A must for anyone visiting Bologna.
The hotel is in a good location , quiet, easy to locate from station on foot, nice people to greet you and was a clean place! Pillows could be a little more comfy...only downfall :( breakfast and coffee was fine!
This was our first trip to Bologna & we definitely hope to come back. The hotel is in the old city so everything is very walkable. (From the airport it was a 15-20 min bus ride & a 5 min walk so don’t even think about a car unless you have to!) The hotel is quirky & the staff helpful & friendly. We had room 10 which is a decent size by Italian standards & joy of joys overlooks the canale that the hotel is named after :-) Haven’t tried the breakfast yet but can recommend the Enoteca a couple of streets over for a great choice of wines & excellent meats & cheeses.
We stayed here for two nights and received a very warm welcome from the charming receptionist. The hotel houses quirky collections of tins, gramophones and even mopeds in the corridors. We travelled by train and the location is good for station access. The city centre is a 10-15 good walk away. Turn right from hotel, cross a small junction and then go left down a main shopping street until you get sight of large square and then towers off to the left. Would definitely stay here again.
This was a friendly family run hotel down a side street just of the main shopping street. Very convenient for walking everywhere. The breakfasts were varied and good and the surprising and rather eclectic collection of items on each floor of the hotel was charming. The bedrooms were rather old fashioned but very comfortable and clean with a on suite shower/toilet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
When you arrive you are not sure what to think as the Hotel is down a side street but once you have started to explore you realise that what you think is a side street is usual for Bologna. Amazing staff Julia and Guiseppe so helpful so friendly so amazing. Julia was brilliant and is a credit to the hotel. The hotel has a quirky feel with memorabilia on each floor which was interesting. The rooms were spacious as was the bathroom. Amazing large soft towels. Kettle and tea in the rooms (no milk) and they would make you a coffee if you just asked. Breakfast was continental but lots of choice and we filled up nicely. Location is BRILLIANT as well. A walk to the train station was easy and walking around Bologna was also very close too. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.
