This is a great inexpensive place to stay - especially if you have a car. The staff are excellent and friendly. The food at their restaurant is amazing! Rooms are clean and lovely. There is a wonderful breakfast array and well worth trying
I spent 1 night here on a biz trip and I needed to be closed to the Fiera (you can walk there, it takes about 5 mins). The Hotel is nothing special, just average. The rooms, we were 2 people, are quite small but clean and silent. Breakfast is fine (continental). People at the reception were kind.
Easy to find multi storey modern hotel with restaurant. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and functional for a one or two night stay. Good breakfast but order coffee from the bar, machine coffee was not good when we visited! Plenty of parking. Visit central ancient Bologna for plenty of good food. Easy access to nearby autostrada but no noise problems. Satnav useful...
Far from city center hotel. The hotel itself is very nice, good rooms, parking area, modern, helpful staff. Nice place if you have a car, easy to find with a car. We couldn't find easy public transportation nearby to city center, so we went with the car and parked in city center (easy to find parking).
This hotel was on a industrial estate near the motorway. If you have a car thats fine. Lots of prostitutes around. So I do not recommended if your with your family. No buses close by you have to do a 10 minute walk along the motorway. If you have large luggage then I do not advise this as the roads are very narrow with no pavements. Bus 35 cross to Bologna station, cross at zebra crossing. Bus stop outside Mecure Hotel will take you close but then you need to walk about 10 minutes. Its about 10 stops. But be aware buses stop running to this area by 8pm. I really do not know how this hotel has kept an 8.8 rating because it is much lower than that considering its area. Don't be fooled by the ratings its a complete lie just to get you to stay there. On a good note the beds were extremely comfortable and the room was ok but there are hundreds of hotels in safer and better areas.
Had a quick stay over in Bologna for a night... the hotel was very good... location a bit outside the city but quiet and the bed was super comfortable... service, check-in and check-out was quick and good.
More or less OK, but:(a) pricy, (b) far from city center and (c, most important) housekeeping ladies decide themselves what you need and what you do not need. We had two nice cups from hard plastic - bought specifically for travels as a set with small electric kettle. They decided that these cups are disposable (why?) and put them to junk, so we were left without our beloved cups.
Like new hotel with great front desk. Made reservation at restaurant that is "locals" only ..no English menu....over the top. Spotless room with sweeping views..freeway close. Great value. Be sure you see the segments of the ancient wall from Medieval period. Ask your hotel clerk, they are a great resource
Great value hotel about 3 miles from centre of Bologna. On industrial estate next to novotel. Rooms clean and modern. Good parking and seems secure. Location slightly dodgy in a red light area with prostitutes campervans parked just across from hotel. When we arrived a group of hookers were standing by the road one wearing no knickers! Taxi cost 15 euro to centre of Bologna bus 1.50 euro but need to walk along triple carriageway to get to bus stop. We managed to cycle along bike paths from near the fiera station to the centre of Bologna. Bologna was fantastic great food, historic and hardly any tourists
The food was nothing short of excellent. The ricotta tortellini with bacon mushrooms and walnuts was a home run. The wine was delicious and very reasonably priced for the area. There was a guitarist out front who truly set a romantic and friendly atmosphere. He sat outside strumming different songs until the restaurant started cleaning up to close down. Most of the guests at the restaurant were locals, which speaks volumes to the quality of food. Definitely recommend.
