ESH is a little bit outside of the centre but you can walk there from the main train station in 20 mins or catch a 10 min bus. The hotel room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. Only issues were the very very bad wifi (if you need it for work, like I did) and the air conditioner was broken on the wall so needed to go and get a remote. Not really a big thing but there we go. Breakfast was also very nice, lots to choose from and the English tea actually was not too bad. Great stay!

hotel is decent for the price. Bologna does not have much when it comes to attractions but the city center is about 25-30min walk from hotel. The workers don't really speak/understand English so communication is difficult and customer service is not exactly a priority for them. However there are exceptions - Dominik and the gentleman that worked front desk overnight during my stay (July 9-11) are very pleasant and super awesome

We have run into a couple of issues right from the beginning of our stay at executive suite hotel: - On the moment we arrived, there was a wet towel on the floor; - Wi Fi was very intermittent; - The expiring date of the snacks on the fridge was due for at least a month; - Tv didn't work; - Elevator wasn't working for most of the times we needed it; - Cleaning pattern seemed different on weekend. We arrived on Saturday and it only looked like the room was properly cleaned on Monday. On the second day, in the morning, I reported the issues with the TV and the towel/cleaning. Once we arrived to the Hotel in the afternoon, the TV still wasn't working. I have reported it a second time and also explained the snacks expiration date was due. Although the TV issue was fixed, nothing has been done about the other issues reported, not even an acknowledgment from the staff. I don't know if it was the staff being uncomfortable speaking english but I felt my concerns ended on the person as I was speaking to, meaning there was no escalation or any efforts to resolve what has been reported. All in all, this wasn't what I was expecting from a 4 star hotel and judging by the experience I had at Executive Suite Hotel, I would not recommend it to anyone.

We stayed 1 night in Executive Suite Hotel in August while coming back from Rimini. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It is close to bus station and the bus nr 25 will take you to the Bologna Centrale and city center. The neighbourhood of the hotel is quite and safe. The breakfast is rich with various meals, for vegans and gluten free as well. Delicious caffee with swee croisants.

I was very happ about my 1 night stay at this hotel. The people working at the front lobby were very very helpful and polite. Even though we had to check out very early and breakfast time hadn't started, they arranged us a quick breakfast and coffee. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The room was very spacious. The onlynegative thing was the wifi connectin was really poor. It was a nice experience, thank you very much.

Lovely room Comfortable Great check in and referral to fantastic nearby restaurant Comfortable bed Only down side was the lift broke when we were checking out Breakfast was average Nice balcony if wanted AC worked great

The hotel is somewhat removed from the center, but bus 25 for 10 minutes to reach the center. Staff nice breakfast as for 4 stars is sufficient (as disadvantages - coffee from the machine immediately becomes cold, monotonous to egg boiled vegetables and grilled sausages), choice of pastries. Elevator is malfunctioning. As for the room, it was clear, normal furniture, spacious bathroom, a rarity for such hotels - bidet. A serious problem room - no soundproofing, could hear next room like a cell phone vibrate. Old TV, no sports channels, 98% of transfers in Italian.

i have chosen the hotel for free parking, being nearby the train station and free breakfast. The hotel is 4 star but I dont think how can be categorised like that, more a 3 star to me. The room was a decent size, not frills, but i have a comfortable sleep., my room was at the back. we were up early and arrive at night traveling to other cities. the breakfast was nice and enjoyed everyday. there is nothing around since it is located outside the city but well communicated by bus number 25, stopping just outside the hotel. the staff was friendly and helpful and look after my luggage the last day after check out. it is good value and ideal it you have a car or planning to travel to other places and back as it is close to the main roads.

Having read some of the reviews prior to coming here I was a little concerned about the distance from the centre of town and the neighbourhood where the hotel is located. On both counts my concerns were completely unfounded. I'm at a loss to understand what is wrong with the area and the 25 minute walk into town is all on the flat. Not a hill in sight! The staff are very friendly. They speak English, but also allow you space and time to use broken Italian if you'd prefer! The breakfast is fantastic. Lots of choice and you can ask for other things if you'd like them. Our room was a "comfort double" and was located on the 8th floor. It had great views of the town and was very clean and well presented. It was just great value. We ate in town most nights and simply walked some of the calories off on the way back! We also tried a local restaurant one night and it was really nice. We both felt completely safe and very welcome wherever we went. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Bologna who is looking for a reasonably priced hotel and doesn't mind a 25 minute (but pretty easy) walk into town.

The location is ok. About 20 minutes to the center by bus. The bed was not comfort. It was a double bed with two matresses (and also of low quality), which made us have a bad sleep. Bathroom was large and comfort. When we faced the breakfast buffet we felt something like happiness after the bad sleep. Breakfast was delicious and with so much choices. Totally, an average choice.
