Really well located hotel, close to the US embassy, just 15min from the airport, 10 min from Downtown, just in from of the National University. Service was quite good, good breakfast I just missed the "caldo de papás".
-excellent, healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner -not far from the La Candelaria, and Monserrate Beautifully modern room design. Only 2 things missing: a dresser, and a larger washroom with a sink. I don’t understand the lack of dresser, however there was a lovely seating area by the window complete with an armchair, a lamp, and a large desk. The washroom space seemed a bit strange to me. The sink and mirror are outside the washroom, which can be handy if you're sharing the room. Everything was new, but the toilet and shower were crammed into a room that was so small you couldn’t really open the door all the way. Other than that, the room and the rest of the hotel were great.
Hotel has a modest lobby, the restaurant is average, but the rooms are large and clean. Most importantly, they have a fast wifi connection. A block away from the hotel is a fabulous Comida Tipico restaurant that serves outstanding food!
We could not fault this hotel. The rooms were huge and so was our bed. The breakfast was really nice with plenty of choice. There was a small parade of shops next door and a chemists opposite. We ordered room service a few times and it was a bit slow but apart from that I thought it was excellent. Thank you!
I stayed two nights at the NH Urban Royal 26. It was a warm welcome and I could get my room already at 10:30am, which was very nice after 20 hours flight. The room was big enough for a stay, including a table for work and a nice view at Bogota. It was clean, but the shower leaked, so it was very wet inside the bathroom. Since it's located between the old center and airport, it's very conviniend for sightseeing and it's relativly modern for a low price. The only thing I didnt like was the loud noice from the streets /traffic. Its very disturbing. Luckily I was so exhausted because of long flight, I fell asleep imedieatly. If it would be more quiet I would give five points.
Stayed there for four nights. Room was large and clean. Staff were efficient and polite. Restaurant and bar were functional but not much for atmosphere. Location convenient for airport but requires getting around by taxi
The public rooms and bedrooms are modern, spacious and well equipped. I like firm beds and to me the bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts and dinners in the hotel were adequate, but with quite poor (slow) service. I had a room at the front of the hotel, which was quite noisy. Hotel is well positioned for the National university, but there is not much else around the area. I notice several people complained about lack of air conditioning. Not sure why anyone would need this in Bogota, which seems always fairly cool. Indeed, my concern was that i had no heat controls, and the evenings can be quite chilly.
My wife and I stayed at the NH Bogota Urban 26 Royal Hotel for 3 nights during late June. The rooms were large with a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with shower. The restaurant is decent and they have room service. Overall the experience was good, but we had one major issue (at least to us). There was no air conditioning in the room. While the outside temperature was pleasant (in the upper 60s F), the room got somewhat warm and stuffy. There was one very small window that could be opened to let in a bit of fresh air. However, there was no screen on the window and this gave mosquitoes a good opportunity to visit. If you have worries about exposure to Zika virus, then this is not a good thing. Our room overlooked a patio area and was very quite. However, beware of rooms that overlook the busy streets surrounding the hotel. Other guests complained of street noise that was so bad they had to close the small window. If I return to Bogota, I will probably look for another option. If they just had air conditioning, or even a fan system to provide some air movement in the room, then my review would be highly favorable.
Im very disappointed with the NH chain in general. I booked my reservation with NH Royal ((Through Trip Advisor)) about 1.5months in advance, I chose this specific location because of its proximity to the airport. Here's what went wrong: -The night of arrival (11pm) they informed us that, they were 100% occupied and they had to put us in one of their sister properties for the night . My reservation was confirmed for weeks!!! - The sister property was very old, not very clean, did not have A/C in the rooms ((seriously, not even a window unit.... Nothing)) and to top it all off, it was 30mins away from the airport, in a very sketchy part of town. - NH Urban 26 offers free airport shuttle and free breakfast. The property where they put us at, wanted to charge us for the above, claiming that not all properties offer the same amenities. All and All T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E
This international type of hotel is located about 3 miles away from the downtown and historic center of Bogota at a busy main avenue, high traffic corner. The high rising building offers spacious, quiet, clean rooms with a modern design and adaquate, but sober furnishing. The restaurant on 4th floor is ok for breakfast and potential dinner. Service in general is professional and friendly. A taxi to downtown areas or major sightseeing points runs around 3 US $, to the airport close to 10 US $. Overnight rates are ok in respect to what is offered, but the location of the hotel and its surroundings are not too attractive. If you prefer a spot with "true Colombian feeling" you may look for alternatives.
