Holiday Inn Express BOGOTA3.5 out of 5.0

As the chain hotel, Holiday Inn fulfill the promise - spacious rooms, very clean, with everything you need, cleaned daily, very good food... The staff is very kind and helpfull, but hardly speaks English, so for any a bit complicated issue it's better to ask someone who speaks Spanish to help (to understand, for example, that they don't change the money, but give you pesos, and charge your room bill accordingly). The problem is - it is very cold in the whole hotel. Bogota is not a very warm city, and at the end of March it was quite cold and rainy, so rooms were cold, dining space... Air-conditions were on, but even when they are switched of, it's quite cold, and heating in the rooms did not really work. It's not 'travelers' friendly' to give the prices without VAT and hotel insurance, so you have to calculate every cost in order to know how much you really have to pay, also to check the invoice you really need some time. In many hotels it's the same, but still it's not nice... Location is not bad, but taxi is needed for many interesting places. Rooms are quiet, beds and pillows amazingly comfortable, so good sleep and rest are guaranteed! Not unimportant for Bogota - you feel very safe in the hotel.
I was told I could check out at 4pm if I joined their rewards program. The day of the check out I was told I had to check out at 2 two hours before check out. Don't fall in to the rewards program scam, late check out is at 2.
Had a pleasant stay for business. Hotel has a nice modern touch, large rooms, goods shower and good bed. Breakfast ok, nothing extraordinary but good enough. Nice area, with nice restaurants (we went to Matiz, really good).
Good service and good environment in public areas. Rooms very well furnished. Staff exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Only two faults - cold reception area /breakfast area. Having used the Holiday Inn in other countries, the bathrooms were small in comparison. Great views from the bedroom window. Ideal location for tourists and good value.
Even if the price is high for Colombian standards the location is it the high point. Walking distance from parque de la 93, safe area. Staff friendly and well maintained hotel. Breakfast is OK, standard Holiday Inn Express.
Been here twice, happy both times. This is an excellent and modern no-nonsense hotel off the vibrant Parque 93 area. Clean rooms, really nice breakfast (included) and easy access to Zona T with shops and restaurants.
The best cost x benefit in Bogota well located close to the main offices and the stock exchange. Excellent restaurant around the hotel that you can go by walk. Rooms were renewed and large. Breakfast is normal. I strong recommend and definitely the best cost x benefit option.
Stayed here for 4 nights in Nov on a business trip. The hotel is in a good location. Very close to Parque 93 and lots of good restaurants. Also walking distance to the Andino mall. Bed and pillows are great. Had a good nights sleep on all nights. The power shower was also great! Also get Bath & Bodyworks toiletries... made me very happy! Staff are all very helpful and friendly. Only slight downside is the breakfast selection is limited. But wasn't a big problem for me as I enjoyed the delicious fresh fruit selection everyday. Coffee was also good. Overall I recommend this hotel.
Amazing time there! I went there to celebrate my birthday and I have adored it! is located in a safe neighbourhood, near to popular places; bar, casino and restaurants. the rooms are really comfortable and clean also my friend and I were treated as Queens; pick up service at the airport, they came to greet us at the door and brought our luggage to our rooms, also they provided us with information about popular places where to eat and where to go at night. oh!! the breakfast was delicious with fresh Colombian coffee and all kind of fruits. definitely going back!
We had a seminar here for our Latin American customers. The hotel picked me up at the airport and that went ok. The gentleman was there waiting for me. Without traffic, the hotel is about 35 minutes from the airport. With traffic, you could add up to another hour. My room was large and clean. It did have a "cleaning detergent" smell to it and unfortunately, the windows didn't open. I put the a/c on and that seemed to help. The bed was comfortable - not too hard or soft. Even though, my room faced the front street, my room was still quiet. The bathroom was clean. My toilet did clog and the maintenance fixed it immediately. I used the laundry as well with no problems. Sent it in the morning and in the evening it was returned. Wifi worked and was easily accessible - meaning, I didn't have to continuously put in a password. This hotel only has a restaurant for breakfast - which was good. There were the usual choices of yogurt, eggs, cheese, meats, breads. For me the best thing was the tropical fruits and the hot chocolate. If you want other food, then you need to ask for room service - which is provided by a restaurant next door. There isn't a big selection on the menu. We had a conference here and used the conference rooms. Everything worked out fine - no issues. The hotel staff really worked hard to make sure everything went smoothly. The breaks were good as well as the lunch they brought in. You can have lunch at the hotel if it is with a group. Around the hotel is a nice park with very good restaurants facing it - it is about one block away. You can walk to the mall - which is like 10 blocks. Its far but do-able - my customers did it. It feels like a safe area - lots of expensive looking apt buildings and other hotels. When it was time to leave, a driver took me to the airport at 5 am. It was put on my hotel bill so I didn't pay the driver directly. I would stay at this hotel again.
