Location great, close to restaurants, bars. Ok room. Reception staff was friendly, security guard was very rude to a lady business executive who was with me. Reported to both duty manager and general manager. Unfortunately received a ridiculous standard answer instead of a proper apology. Management reaction very disappointing.
After having a bad experience I arrived at this hotel to check out a room for my business trip. The rooms are specious and nicely decorated. The bathroom is a bit small but how much time do you really spend in there? The staff was very attentive and ready to assist with anything I need. The room had a great work desk with plenty of outlets. The was very comfortable. There was a great mini bar with a great selection of late night snacks. I also took advantage of the room service from the restaurant next door. The food was very good and the fresh juices came highly recommended. The free breakfast had a great selection and healthy. Just across the street from the hotel is a park that is surrounded by the most amazing restaurants Colombia has to offer. It is VERY safe here and people are very helpful when your lost or need help with anything.
When in Bogota I usually stay in one of two hotels, one of them being this Holiday Inn which provides great value for your money! It might not be a luxurious, upscale hotel but for people who do not want to spend too much and still stay at a very good place this is your best bet. Why not 5 stars? 1. The gym inside the hotel is ridiculously small. They have an agreement with a very large and nice gym about a block away but that means crossing the street and walking there in a very cold weather. Once you get there it is a very good experience; 2. For lunch and dinner the restaurant is not inside the hotel but adjacent which also means walking outside although it is just about 20-30 steps. I understand the space limitations and given the price and very good service from the staff it is indeed one of my favorite hotels in Bogota.
Rooms are average (carpet needed change, it was too dirty). We asked two times to get soap till we got them. Towels were torn. Still, reception people were kind and you noticed they tried to support you the best the could
Great area! We walked to restaurants. Around the corner there is a great place for pastries and coffee. Wifi had great signal. A decent breakfast is included with hot items and local fruit. Will stay again.
I have stayed two weeks and initially it was rough. Place seems small, while kitchen not working during dinner. I think somewhere expectation was wrongly set and Julio (front office manager) helped and somewhere I had set the right expectation. Hotel is conveniently located almost 50 meters from 93 Park where there are almost 15-20 good restaurants. there solves your food and entertainment problem. Hotel has a very small gym, but it can give you access to gym right at the corner of block, which is really good. Breakfast issue was solved after talking to Julio and Paula (another front office manager), which by the way very helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. All in all, Holiday day inn express is less frills hotel, but what I can say about this hotel is they don't mind extending a helping hand for a confused foreigner. I will definitely stay here if I come back.
Very nice hotel. Friendly service. Excellent location 2 blocks from Parque 93 where there are plenty of options to eat and drink. There are also several other restaurants, pharmacies and convenience stores within a 2 block radius. Very safe area of town. The breakfast at the hotel is limited, but it's enough to get your day started.
Had a pleasant stay, hotel has nice and large rooms, good shower. They need to improve breakfast nothing great for a country as Colomvia with delicious food. Thank you to Paola and Oscar always ready to help and a great smile.
Nicely located at walking distance from the "paruqe de la 93" where you could have fun and food. Friendly crew, silent rooms. Clean. Free internet that works. My default business Hotel, just need to be aware of peak season room prices...Keep an eye when booking.
As the chain hotel, Holiday Inn fulfill the promise - spacious rooms, very clean, with everything you need, cleaned daily, very good food... The staff is very kind and helpfull, but hardly speaks English, so for any a bit complicated issue it's better to ask someone who speaks Spanish to help (to understand, for example, that they don't change the money, but give you pesos, and charge your room bill accordingly). The problem is - it is very cold in the whole hotel. Bogota is not a very warm city, and at the end of March it was quite cold and rainy, so rooms were cold, dining space... Air-conditions were on, but even when they are switched of, it's quite cold, and heating in the rooms did not really work. It's not 'travelers' friendly' to give the prices without VAT and hotel insurance, so you have to calculate every cost in order to know how much you really have to pay, also to check the invoice you really need some time. In many hotels it's the same, but still it's not nice... Location is not bad, but taxi is needed for many interesting places. Rooms are quiet, beds and pillows amazingly comfortable, so good sleep and rest are guaranteed! Not unimportant for Bogota - you feel very safe in the hotel.
