Last December and January, I had been staying in all the 3 Holiday Inn Hotels in Bogota all are Okay, but this one has the best personnel and that's why the best of them!,beside a good location for everything and even with the 35 Mins ride to the airport this is the best option for me to stay, enjoy and Relax in Bogota! Juanita, Andres, and all the rest of the Reception team are there to help you for everything! The hotel doest not have a restaurant, but having all the excelent choices all around within walk in distance and if you want food delivered to your room too.!, Take a walk and Go to the Fabrica Restaurant close by the Plaza! I will be back for Bogota and if I need to stay in a Holiday Inn Hotel this Would be the one!
This is was our first time visiting Bogota. I can say that Bogota is a busy city, with a heavy traffic and lot bicycle riders, we were skeptical to visit the Historical zone due the lack of transportation and based on the recommendations that we got from some locals, like “ If you go to the downtown, just removed all your jewelry and don’t flash your cellphone or camera, keep the hidden all the time”. After heard this, we were kind of scare to visit it. Los Bogoteños are very good in customer service, they speak really calm and always willing to help you, however, when you go to any store, pharmacy or any other place that you have to make the line, they don’t have any manners and always cut the line or stand so close to you, things that I found very rude and not polite, but let’s talk about the hotel we stayed. RESERVATIONS: IHG has the most friendly site that any other hotel that I had experience, right on point..!! CHECK IN: We arrived late and were greeted by Jose who was very attentive and courteous, however, he kind of doubted about the room type I booked, he asked me if I don’t mind to get a room with two beds, which I replied, I booked king size and confirmed by e-mail, so me and my partner won’t sleep in separate beds…After this, he handled keys and welcome amenity. HOTEL LOCATION: The hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood, mostly targeted for business people. Close to Park 93 and several restaurants. I recommend Osaki Restaurant, which is in the park and is not expensive at all. Also the Hotel is close to a mall where you can exchange currency. ROOM: The room was perfect. Big room with king size bed, nice shower separated from the bathtub and two sinks, which we found them kind of small because every time we opened the faucet the water splashed it out and wet the whole floor, so, we had to ask for an extra towel for the floor. The room has microwave, a little sink and a minibar, we asked to the staff to remove the minibar, because we did not want to be charge mistakenly by products that we haven’t had consumed, it happened to us before. BREAKFAST: Breakfast was included, even our stay was with points. Is a small restaurant but the service is amazing, the ladies that attended us were friendly and very customer service oriented…A+ for them…!!...About the food, it was ok, we stayed for a week and most of the time the food was repetitive, they varied a few days during or stay and overall, it was fine. DURING OUR STAY: We did not use the Gym, parking or common areas. We have only two little issues, one, it was the AC unit, it was very hot in our room and it takes a while to cool it off, the second one was when we were checking out and we tried to print our boarding passes, the computers in the lobby were not printing at all, and the front desk agent didn’t know how to fix it, we ended printing in at the airport. Overall the Hotel is nice and I recommend it
We arrived after midnight because of Avianca plane delays. The hotel had sandwiches waiting for us in our rooms. Considering we had not eaten for 12 hours the sandwiches and drinks we soooo good. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We were there in the middle of torrential rain and found that in the next street there were great restaurants. Wifi was great and breakfasts very good too. Had a language problem with housekeeping which was easily overcome with the help of the manager. Coffee machine in my room. I was in heaven!
This hotel is located ideally in a very nice ( and safe) part of town very close to a large number of really great restaurants! The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable and the service is good. Andres on reception was very helpful. The wifi is also reliable, which I found was not always the case in Colombian hotels. Generally great value for money!
Location great, close to restaurants, bars. Ok room. Reception staff was friendly, security guard was very rude to a lady business executive who was with me. Reported to both duty manager and general manager. Unfortunately received a ridiculous standard answer instead of a proper apology. Management reaction very disappointing.
After having a bad experience I arrived at this hotel to check out a room for my business trip. The rooms are specious and nicely decorated. The bathroom is a bit small but how much time do you really spend in there? The staff was very attentive and ready to assist with anything I need. The room had a great work desk with plenty of outlets. The was very comfortable. There was a great mini bar with a great selection of late night snacks. I also took advantage of the room service from the restaurant next door. The food was very good and the fresh juices came highly recommended. The free breakfast had a great selection and healthy. Just across the street from the hotel is a park that is surrounded by the most amazing restaurants Colombia has to offer. It is VERY safe here and people are very helpful when your lost or need help with anything.
When in Bogota I usually stay in one of two hotels, one of them being this Holiday Inn which provides great value for your money! It might not be a luxurious, upscale hotel but for people who do not want to spend too much and still stay at a very good place this is your best bet. Why not 5 stars? 1. The gym inside the hotel is ridiculously small. They have an agreement with a very large and nice gym about a block away but that means crossing the street and walking there in a very cold weather. Once you get there it is a very good experience; 2. For lunch and dinner the restaurant is not inside the hotel but adjacent which also means walking outside although it is just about 20-30 steps. I understand the space limitations and given the price and very good service from the staff it is indeed one of my favorite hotels in Bogota.
Rooms are average (carpet needed change, it was too dirty). We asked two times to get soap till we got them. Towels were torn. Still, reception people were kind and you noticed they tried to support you the best the could
Great area! We walked to restaurants. Around the corner there is a great place for pastries and coffee. Wifi had great signal. A decent breakfast is included with hot items and local fruit. Will stay again.
