About 10 miles away, Chichester boasts a beautiful cathedral, Chichester Festival Theatre, and world-famous events at Goodwood and horse racing at Fontwell. The South Downs National Park is renowned for its network of scenic walks, and just a short drive away is the cosmopolitan city of Brighton to the east, Portsmouth to the west, and ferry trips can be taken to the Isle of Wight.
