Had the most amazing 2 week stay here the room was spotless and cleaned whenever we put our sign out for it to be the staff were fab couldn't do enough for us even the other guest were lovely the food was fine hot and plentiful location amazing will be coming back next year for sure xxxx

We booked this holiday in July 17 after reading great reviews. I don’t know, maybe the staff fell out of love with the hotel at the end of the season. We were there for the last week before shutdown for the winter. Not a lot of pluses to be honest. + Hotel: great location right by the beach and lovely bars and restaurants. - After you’d checked in the reception staff were rude. Not even a goodbye hope you enjoyed your stay when we check out. + The room: We were in the nearest room to the reception which was a good location. The shower was hot and powerful which was lovely. - One day our suitcases in the bedroom were soaking wet. We traced the water back to the bathroom. The shower was a wet room that wasn’t sealed properly the water had leaked through the wall onto the floor. So, then we’d realised why our room had an awful musty damp smell. After arriving home even the clothes we didn’t wear had to be washed to get rid of the smell. +The Bar: Ahmed the bar man was the best member of staff always smiling. Beer was acceptable. The cake in the afternoon was good. They stopped making it though towards the end of the week. - Filthy! The glass washer was literally the bar man washing the glasses under a cold running tap with no detergent. They had run out of a lot of mixers eg. no tonic for the gin etc. We went out and bought 5 bottles of tonic and left them at the bar for general use. Coffee machine often out of action. The snacks we didn’t try. The smell of old frying fat put us off. They did wipe the surfaces but with a dirty microfibre cloth. Rinsed under the same cold tap as the glasses. All surfaces were dirty or dusty. +The Pool: The bottom pool was beautiful But it was too cold to go in. Not the hotels fault. -The Restaurant: Sorry, I cannot find any pluses for the restaurant. Food left out in the open air. Covered in flies and wasps and at least 8 Ferrell cats roaming around. At breakfast one day we witnessed a cat on the counter helping itself to cheese. We ate bread, hard boiled eggs and butter, all because they were in shells, pots etc not open to the elements and vermin. Didn’t even attempt the lunch or evening meal. +WiFi: we were able to use the WiFi, I think this might have been because the hotel hadn’t many people staying in it. We had a great holiday all in all. We ate out every night at some beautiful restaurants. Our favourite was The Blue Bay a short walk along the sea. Really friendly. I thoroughly recommend their Fillet Steak for around 55tl (£11). We used to go there in the day too, free sun beds with mattresses and pillows. 15tl (£3) for a bottle of Efes. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s a shame it could be so much more......

Where do I start, good points I guess 1) Food main meals were good. 2) Both pools were very nice and clean. 3) Pool bar good. 4) Transport to Bodrum very good. Bad Points 1) Room toilet was dirty for the whole week. 2) No hot water at all for the whole week. 3) No toilet rolls or towels given unless you left a tip for the Cleaner. 4) Blood stains on pillow left out to remove only to be place back the next day on three occasions so we placed pillow on top of wardrobe out of the way, the stains were old stains. 5) Bed linen wasn’t changed for the whole week. 6) Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. 7) Overall the rooms were shabby. 8) The hotel was closing down around us when we had one day left. 9) Bathroom door locked on its own and receptionists said “impossible” but they had to get a handyman to repair the failure. 10) No entertainment you need to go to local hotels for that. We both had a lovely time but won’t recommend anyone visit this facility due to our experience last week.

Bathroom was not clean don't think they've heard of toilet cleaner! Restaurant was outside cats and flies everywhere! Pool bar played same few songs over and over again!! Could say so much more...just avoid!!

I have just returned from Turkey with my mum, we left our husbands at home and had a holiday together. Our first hotel (rosso verde) was terrible, the staff at paloma practically rescued us and our holiday experience. All the staff were very welcoming and took good care if us. I would love to return with my husband and children in the future. It is beautifully situated just outside the town and a short and cheap bus trip away from bodrum and gumbet. The food was very good although a little repetitive. Didn't bother me but I did hear a couple of other moan a little. For all inclusive I thought the options were very good. I've been to posh hotels in England and been disappointed so I think that says something. The hotel is well situated and the area is not expensive so it's doable to go out of an evening or for dinner if you really want to. The bus stops right outside for days out. The staff were very helpful and full of information. Being end of season we were able to pick up some brilliant bargains in the surrounding shops and markets. Don't be scared to haggle they love the banter. Highly recommend this hotel for their service and location.

This was my first time to Turkey. I travelled with my best friend in early October and chose this hotel on the basis of good reviews at time of booking. I was a bit concerned to see later reviews which were less complimentary but my concerns were happily unfounded. We arrived to be offered a choice of two rooms and chose a family room by first pool and reception. It had 2 bedrooms and was very spacious for our needs. It wasnt 5 star luxury but it was clean and comfortable and the shower and hairdryer were good. There was a lovely lady who cleaned for us every other day and we had no complaints, helps if you leave 10 lira, all staff work hard and long hours for little money! The grounds are lovely, like a little village, they may need some maintenance but it was end of season and walkways, pool area etc were cleaned every day. Two pools, both quite cold but well maintained, we used bottom one in morning and moved to top one in afternoon as sun moved. No problems getting sunbeds but it was near end of season! Weather was great. Clientele was mixed, some turkish, some brits and fair few dutch, we made some good friends across nationalities. Staff were friendly and helpful, even ferrying hotel guests to pharmacy when they fell ill and taking those that wanted to on a night on the town. The only entertainment in the hotel was music by bottom pool but we knew that before we travelled and theres plenty of other bars etc on the beach promenade some 5-10 minutes walk away. Mostly we chatted to new friends at hotel bar which suited us. Food was plentiful and typically Turkish which may not be to everyones taste but we always found something to eat, it could do with being warmer and labelled but otherwise no complaints. We were usually joined at meal times by resident feral cats but they only bother those that feed them, by the time we left we had given them all names! Bitez promenade and beach was beautiful, we ate at the Blue Bay a couple of times, cheap but quality food and a free sunbed on the beach thrown in. There are frequent and cheap buses to nearby Gumbet and Bodrum, both worth a visit but both busier than Bitez and tourists were hasseled more in our experience. Also visited Bitez Hamman for my first Turkish bath, would recommend. All in all my friend and I had a fantastic holiday! Thank you to all at Paloma.

I stayed her end of september first week november had a amazing 11 could not fault hotel or staff they where all amazing first time in bitez and i would deffo go back 2 this hotel next year maybe its not 5 star but u get what u pay for and in my opion this hotel is great value pools r lovely u will always find something 2 eat at the buffet snacks in afternoon plentyful all round good place 2 stay a short 5 min walk 2 beach and bars thank u 2 all the staff for a good holiday

Please stop the young bar man playing only music "he" likes. It is driving anyone over 20 mad.... the music should cater for the customers who are mostly 40+. It really is spoiling our break & many others who were sat round the pool. They left because of the music. I am putting this on in a hope management read it

We visited as a family of 4 for 2 weeks. Our 1st impressions were good as the hotel itself is very pretty. On closer inspection though it needs painting and some odd jobs doing to the outside. We had 2 rooms and a bathroom but it was in need of a good clean and modernising. Our handle to the front door came off a week into the holiday, but was fixed very quickly. But the furniture and beds were tired and dated. There is a fridge on the room but no coffee and tea making facilities. There are 2 pools which both look nice but don't get cleaned enough, and for parts of the holiday looked green and murky, with little swimming insects in them most of the time. Although the pool with the slide was much cleaner than the other one. The outside toilets were disgusting, we never used them. The food was mostly terrible. I have never been on holiday before and had to eat out every day. The food is outside so the desserts are covered in wasps. It is typical Turkish food but mostly bland and tasteless. There was a large choice of salad everyday and fresh bread though. The bar staff were friendly and the manager of the reception was also friendly, although some of the reception staff didn't even speak. there is no entertainment at all, so the kids got pretty bored in the evening. We spent some nights at the ambrosia across the road to entertain the girls. Although, the entertainment there wasn't the greatest either. Weirdly though, we had a good holiday, met some lovely people and came home feeling refreshed.

Where do I start! Reception staff were useless, as warming as the cold dreary slop they put out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place has potential, just really tired and in need of cash injection and some major TLC. The majority of the staff were hard working and did a good job, especially the bar staff, even cracking smiles and conversation after a couple of days. Accommodation - family room with a balcony - two rooms, both with two single beds in each with the hardest mattresses known to man (no lie!), pillows were about 20 years old and were like sleeping on a bag of socks, linen was stained and tired, leapers blankets in the oversized wardrobes all with One hanger in them! Bathroom was tired, not properly cleaned, mould, fittings that just didn't work, lack of toilet paper. PLUS points - Water pressure in shower was great, air conditioning was super ice cold. Cleaning TIP - found out on the last day if you actually tipped (5-10T/Lira) on the bed every day you would get swans and flower petals, loads of toilet paper and a clean room! I did NOT tip everyday and therefore our room was cleaned and towels changed every other day, no sign on any decorative swans! ENTERTAINMENT - There is none! Nothing! One Bar at the front of the Paloma that opens till 1am in the morning with a couple of tables and chairs (All Inclusive ends at 11pm every night!). TIP - At night we went to the Ambrosia Hotel just down the road and to the Shamrock Bar - staff are amazing and entertainment was ok, once you are at the Shamrock you have access to the other bars/Restaurants in Bitez Beach. If it wasn't for the Bar/Entertainment staff at Ambrosia Hotel I would have left after 5 days - that is the truth The Food - oh my GOD, please believe me when I say it was shocking. My family and I always go all inclusive, yes its repetitive but I have never walked away hungry until now! Truly the worst food ever, we didn't bother with Breakfast after the first two days or lunch and just went to local restaurants every day. Dinner was soul destroying and again had to eat out half the time. PLUS POINT - drinks are free flowing throughout the day until 11pm when all inclusive stopped with a good choice. Ice cream served between 12-2 only! 3-5pm a selection of wafers and biscuit could be had. THE HOTEL - the worst wifi ever - only could be had in the small reception room at the front and this was really hit and miss most days. The grounds - nicely maintained with two pools, accommodation, from the outside looks nice, lovely looking two storey villas. Bottom pool was the main pool, adequate with murky water and not enough sun loungers, man hole covers that looked as though they were going to give way any moment, cracked tiles and old tatty plastic loungers and tables and chairs that were on their last legs. Top pool has a slide and a couple of loungers and has its own bar, this was our preference as less crowded than main pool, no music but cleaner than main pool. OVERALL - This hotel is not aimed at Europeans or British, mainly at Turkish and Russian cliental - majority of staff try hard but overworked. Reception staff were useless, e.g. Asked on day one if I could pay extra to keep our room until 7pm on day of departure (stayed for 10 days), told to try four days before we were to depart to ask again, did so and advised to try day before departure as fully booked. Again tried day before and day of departure and advised NO. If its wasn't for the friends we made at the Paloma allowing us to use their room to freshen up after a day at the pool we would have been up a creek! We left our apartment at midday as instructed and walking past our apartment at 6pm later in the day and it was still empty and unoccupied along with a few other apartments we could have been given to use! When I booked this hotel originally I wasn't expecting luxury and due to the review of others on Trip Advisor I took the plunge (Each to their own but we were cursing them throughout our stay!). Speaking with the couple of other English and Dutch families at the Paloma when we were there, they had the same view at me so I am not moaning for the sake of moaning it really was a poor experience. I would happily go back to Bitez for a holiday, lovely place with lovely people, I love Turkey. Would I stay at the Paloma - Never again, not even if it was free, this is not an understatement. I have taken a couple of days after returning to the UK before submitting this to ensure I was given a true, honest factual review.
