Radisson Blu Hotel, Bodo4.0 out of 5.0

The hotel is located at the harbour line and next to the concert hall. It is easy to reach by bus, taxi and ferry boat. The hotel is mostly in the style of the 90th, but rooms, restaurant, and bar have been refurbished nicely. The 13th floor bar offers a great panorama view over the entire city. The room was very quiet and comfortable and with a great view. The food was made from good ingredients and well seasoned (breakfast (included), lunch, dinner). Very practical is that there are a small shop (Narvesen) and a gym (Stamina) in the same building just outside the lobby.
This hotel was located at the harbor and five minutes from the ferry terminal for travel to the Lofoten Islands. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had a car, and to park in the lot beside the hotel would have been a bit pricey, so we parked on the street across from the hotel - free overnight, and very inexpensive for the hour we needed to feed the meter the next morning.
Radisson in Bodø is together with Scandic Havet the best choice for a stay in Bodø. Radisson is older than Scandic but has undergone a upgrade thats really noticable. The reception, common areas, restuarant, and the rooftop bar has been refurbished along with most of the rooms. I found it very new and appealing. The rooms were clean and the service great. Breakfast was large and the choices were many. You can also order eggs cooked to order, even this is not advertised. The hotel is in the middle of Bodø ( almost everything is), I have stayed at the Scandic before but would probably choose Radisson next time.
The hotel is situated close to the Harbour in the middle of the centre of the city. The bar on the Top floor give a fantastic view over the city of Bodø and souroundings. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are Nice and clean With all equipment we needed. And best of all - it was a bath tub. Good parking poosibilities outside the hotel. If you want cheaper parking it is also possible nearby. Breakfast was also very good.
Stop over in Bodo. Choosed the Radisson Blu Hotel. Dogs are welcome. Thank you for that. The hotel is very good located directly at the harbour and only a view minutes from the center of this little town. The hotel is clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. We booked a business room. The room was in a good shape - a little bit of the late seventies, but not worn out at all. Only the size of the bed 140 cm was to small for us. We had an early checkout - the hotel gave us on request a breakfast-bag without any additional costs.
The hotel was nice enough itself, and there was a decent breakfast (if not very kid-friendly), though I'd had better breakfasts elsewhere for similarly-priced hotels. My biggest issue is with housekeeping and service. I was traveling with my child and when we got to our next destination, I realized we'd left two sizable belongings in the room. I called the hotel right away, and was transferred to housekeeping. While they said they would look for the items, they also said that they could not be bothered to call us back unless they found them. Well, we never heard from them. Which means in the space of a few hours, they either threw the items out or someone nicked them. They were the sort of things that would have been valuable only to us (about $50), and we would have gladly stopped back at the hotel on our way back through Bodø to pick them up. It's also just insulting that they couldn't bother to give us a call to say that they couldn't find them. Overall disappointing, so I cannot recommend.
Had dinner here, and on the plus side the outdoor area is great and there are some servicemindedness. However, there are a number of improvements waiting to be made. The dishes are a bit expensive, but simple and has small portions. No items for children. Not all items on the menu are available. Service is slow, inexperienced and inadequate. Drinks are poor. I'd expect a lot more from a Radisson restaurant.
We had a nice and clean room but there were constructions going on in the morning so we could not sleep anymore. The window was open and locked for safety reasons. When we said at the reception that we could not sleep in the morning they said we should have called them. Really, do you want to call them when you are tired and you are still in your pajamas??? I did not want to! We did not get an discount either.
Fabulous setting amazing sky bar with a great cocktail list especially the Arctic Summer and delightful staff!!!! Rooms were lovely and comfortable and a great mini bar!!!! Great breakfast a true experience of Scandinavia!!! Whole heartedly recommended a stay here in fact I'd stay again!!! Beautiful Bodo
Decent room with comfortable beds, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Great location. We ate dinner a couple of times, and the restaurant was really struggling to cope with the number of diners they had in both nights, so service was slow but friendly. The fancy Asian restaurant on the ground floor (Ohma) looked incredibly pricey, even by Norwegian standards! The skybar on the 13th floor has panoramic views out over Bodo (not that exicting) and the islands and mountains beyond (much more interesting). We toasted the midnight sun behind the islands in the distance with a delicious mojito and some fizz.
