A gorgeous, dog friendly, well equipped and comfortable cottage, well situated for all that Cornwall
A gorgeous, dog friendly, well equipped and comfortable cottage, well situated for all that Cornwall has to offer. The St Kew Inn, a popular pub/restaurant is a short work away. I would highly recommend it.
The cottage is absolutely lovely and was perfect for the two of us for our week away. It has pretty much everything you need and is set in a really quiet location. The pub nearby does delicious meals, but you do need to book a table early. We loved being with walking distance from Port Issac, as well as being able to explore other places in the car.
There were a couple of niggles,
- only a microwave and hob. This wasn’t a huge problem as we were still able to cook perfectly fine food on the hob (casserole, risotto etc).
- lack of storage in the main bedroom. The chest of drawers was fine and as it was just us, we also used the wardrobe in the other room
- hot water in the kitchen takes a while to get hot. A bit of patience and it was fine, but nothing that can probably be changed
- slightly uncomfortable seating in the lounge area. It’s ok, but not the best.
However, these were only slight issues and we would definitely stay there again.
