The entire staff is extremely welcoming, as any citizen of Cape Verde they are always smiling, singing and dancing even if they’re distracted. I work in Hospitality só I know how hard it is to keep motivated and positive but they always believe the best is yet to come and you just have to enjoy life as it is ! I really left the hotel with a completely different attitude. The food is amazing but the food during the afternoon could be better . Besides that I loved the hotel, it’s position in the island, the beach, pool, the bedrooms, everything was absolutely amazing.

The hotel is perfectly located on a massive, gorgeous beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is good but could be better (lack of seasoning). The daily entertainments were good, staff very friendly and helpful. They also have representatives for outside activities in the hotel lobby so that was very welcome, and they organize everything for you. This hotel would get a 5* rating if it weren't for their offer, to book airport transfers in advance for us via an online service. That was a major rip off and you're much better off catching one of the waiting taxis outside the airport for 5 euros, instead of the 50 euros Iberoservice charge. The hotel staff then cheerfully informed us that we got ripped off when we told them how much we paid. uh, okay well this service was actually provided by Iberostar, so thanks for letting us know the hotel indirectly ripped us off.

We were kindly welcomed by staff upon arrival. Every staff member is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are good, but not trendy. No need as far as we were concerned as everything was clean and functional. We even had a small garden and stunning beach and Seaview! The food was delicious. Great variety and tasted excellent. Had steak, all kind of fish and seafood, selection of pizza, fruit, rabbit, pork, just name it!! Everything freshly prepared in small portions. Unbelievable when you know that nothing grows on the island and everything needs to be imported. We will be back!

I cannot rate this hotel and country enough! It is so peaceful and so chilled I have enjoyed such a wonderful holiday here with my husband and 3 year old son. The entertainment team are unreal. Such lovely people who work so hard to make your stay enjoyable without being too pushy with activities. Poquito is amazing with children. Honestly this team made our holiday so special. The buffet was amazing and I had something different every day. All of the waiting staff and bar staff so friendly. Not the most luxurious or grand building but who needs marble floors when you can have a holiday so enjoyable and relaxing! We can't wait to come back! Advice - pegs to hold towels down, high factor suncream and don't expect to meet many English people!

Great top class would definitely recommend, weather great we had a room over the pool and the sea. Food fantastic The sea is great the sand is excellent. Staff on the lobby is top class it’s 5 euro each from the airport it takes 5 min. Not a British hotel all thought well spoken English from staff. No stress!!

The Iberostar Club Boa Vista is a really nice hotel, with little villas set in tranquil gardens. There is easy access to the beach and 2 nice swimming pools. The spa is small but the treatments were very good, the only comment would be that the indoor pool is freezing in February! There is only one restaurant, but for an All-inclusive, they offer a HUGE selection of food (at lunch as well as dinner.) As a Vegan I had lots of options and was given Soy milk everyday. The smoothies at breakfast our delicious. There isn't a lot to do here except kite surfing and the beach is really windy, but if you just want to relax, I would highly recommend it. It's the best all inclusive restaurant I've ever been to. The weather in February wasn't brilliant but enough to sit by the pool most days.

We stayed at this Hotel early April,Half Term. The flight was OK, it went quite fast, i thought i would be a fidget as it was 6 hours, but it wasn't too bad. On arriving at the Airport we wasn't allowed off the plane for quite a while, because another Flight had landed not long before us and the Airport is really small, but very nice,( my Son said it looked like a Sand Castle ) so can only really hold Plane at a time. There are not many Flights a week. On being allowed off the Plane, we had a very very long wait in a queue in the hot sunshine ( getting burn't) to go through passport Control. We reckon it was about at least 2 and a half hours. So try to take a small Sun lotion in your hand luggage, and a Hat and a drink. And if you haven't booked with TUI you do have to pay 30 Euros per person upon Entry.. But it was plain sailing after that.I had booked Transfers, which cost a lot. But didn't need to as we could have got a Taxi so much cheaper. The Airport was only about a 5/10 minute drive away from our Hotel. At the Hotel you are welcomed with a drink, i think it was a Cocktail.Very nice too.Check in was fast. Then your case is taken to your room with you following.Lovely room, nice size, i loved the area where the sink and mirror was.The bathroom was quite nice too, i actually liked the fact that the shower was separated by a Wall between the Toilet and Bi-day. Keep an eye on your walls though, because my Son told us there was a small lizard on our wall, my Husband looked but couldn't see anything anywhere, so we thought he had imagined it.Until the next day, when my Son caught it under a cup. Our room was in a lovely Courtyard, only a 5 minute walk from everywhere. The Pools are gorgeous, so pretty, with one of them over looking the beach. The Entertainment staff are fab, they do everything. They always walk around the Pool telling you what is on and asking if you would like to join in.They put on Shows at Night too. We did Water aerobics one morning with the lady instructor, she is so energetic and lively. We did Archery on the beach, we loved that.My Son joined in Beach Volleyball and Water Polo as much as he could, and really enjoyed them. The Buffet Restaurant was big, and loads of choices, there was always something being made at a different table or two at the top.You were greeted with a drink each evening, alcohol or non alcohol, then you could get your own drinks or the Waitress would bring you drinks.Everyone is so friendly there. This restaurant is also open each Lunch time as well. You can use the Gourmet Restaurant once during your stay, i booked before we went Away. But remember you DO have to pay for drink in there, except the Welcome one. The Pool bar does food too, but Cats are absolutely everywhere. They were even on the tables.I am petrified of Cats so after eating in there twice and me jumping about nearly squealing, enough was enough.Never ate over there again.( we didn't realize then that the Buffet Restaurant opened at Lunch times too) Cats were everywhere in resort.I couldn't relax at all.It was like they owned the place Ha Ha. I don't know what was worse, the Cats in the daytime, because i could see them, so was aware of them near me. Or at night, when it was dark and they ran out in front of you or jumped off walls. There were a few little shops on the resort, souvenirs and snacks and beach stuff. There were plenty of Toilets in the Complex too. The beach is down a slope, then there is a Beach bar at the bottom, which i did enjoy sitting and having a nice cold drink. It is opposite Boa Vista Kite Surfing, which is where you can try Kite Surfing or book your Excursions. I booked all our's before we left the UK, so only had to go there to pick the tickets up when we got there. If you do have a problem while in Resort, the Managers are fantastic, could not do enough to help you.

This is a 5 star hotel (sort of... I think it is 4.5 really), quite large resort, though I understand there are much larger ones on Boa Vista now. It is quite sprawling and if you get a room at the edge of the hotel, the pools and restaurants are a 5-8 minute walk. I asked not to be on the ground floor and the receptionist assured me that I wasn’t, but when I arrived to the room... ground floor. I didn’t kick up a fuss as I was tired and it was a long walk back to reception. Had I stayed longer than 3 days, I would have asked for another room. I was a bit disappointed that I did not have sea view, but 40 Euro extra per night is not really worth it. Actually, not that many rooms have sea views. Most of them look inwards into courtyards and internal roads. Some just look at the wall of the next building. I was lucky that I was in a nice courtyard. The pool was OK, though I think there would not be enough beds at the height of the season. There were only a few left by the time I got to the pool. around 9.30 am and the hotel was half full. Beach area was good and they do try to keep it nice, green and fresh. I could see the 'Israel-style' drip feed of water in an effort to keep it green. Full marks. The food was varied and plentiful, but not hot enough most of the time, except where they cooked it in front of you. Not a problem for me, but might be for some. Although it’s all inclusive, they charge extra for every little thing. For example, having the safe opened is 16 Euro a week. What?!?! Don't be so money-grabbing peeps. It's a very touristy place, but probably others are as well, unless you go to a dive :-) .

A really nice hotel with very friendly helpful staff. The views from the pool are amazing. Mix with room was soon sorted, we paid for full sea view and was allocated a room several rows back. After 1 night we were moved to full sea view room. Both rooms were excellent. Pool towels are supplied and changing a used one at reception couldn't be easier. Beach bar is a 300m walk down a long ramp, and worth the effort. Only disappointment was the food. At the start of our week, most of the food was tepid. However from mid week onwards food improved noticeably. Not my personal choice of menu, but can't criticise hotel for that.

Incredibly helpful staff who were all fluent in a number of languages. Special mention to Elio and Jose for whom nothing was too much trouble. And also to Tish the fantastic fitness instructor. Very close to the airport (5 min drive) where local taxis are plentiful and charge 10 Euro. Annoyingly, we pre-booked from the UK and paid considerably more than that!
