Situated on a quiet private lot, surrounded by native Mountain Laurel; this cozy log cabin is charming to the core. Our lot borders a 5' easement for the Benton MacKaye hiking trail which borders one of the beautiful private lakes of Cherry Log Mountain. There is additional access to 2 other lakes within walking distance right around the corner from the cabin. The cabin interior includes a kitchen/dining combo with well-crafted pine cabinets and an extended dining area surrounded by windows; bringing the beauty of the lush green outside inside including a few glimpses of the lake below. The great room's cathedral ceiling and flagstone wood-burning fireplace are at the center of the cabin with a cute sleeping loft w/ladder access overlooking from above. The master bath offers a big jetted tub & picture window for soaking your troubles away.... Outside, the spacious screened porch with skylights flows right off the great room; then out to the open deck area for enjoying the sunny days, and then into the stoned courtyard for many outside activities complete with a swing, metal firepit, grill, a great area for corn hole, all surrounded by a nice wooden fence so the pups can play too. A bundle of mountain treasures can be found here. Come and see for yourself!

This was an enjoyable, lovely stay in a really beautiful part of the country. The Hosts described the property accurately and there were no surprises. Shaded Laurel was an easy home to access, especially since we had more than one bag to get into the house. The area is very quiet. Instructions for coming and going were clear and simple with not a lot of exit requirements. The mattresses need a little updating, but it may just be me. I have never liked ‘soft sleeping.’ And the seating in the family room was limited. Those were the only things we had to suggest. (We are not hottub enthusiasts so we can’t comment on the new unit. But it certainly seems to be a good size hottub.)This is a beautiful property. We were delighted with our stay. Thank you to the Hosts for always providing quick and clear communication.
