LAKE VIEW Cozy Cabin with Hot Tub & Wood Fireplace!!

Escape to the mountains and enjoy a beautiful view at our quiet lakefront log cabin. You'll feel very secluded, but the cabin is just 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and 20 minutes from Ellijay. Whether you're into hiking, tubing, shopping, or dining out, you'll be close to it all! Or... just sit back and relax in the hot tub, read a book by the wood burning fireplace, or roast marshmallows by the fire pit while watching for deer by the lake. There is something here for everyone!

Located on Cherry Log Mountain, Cherry Lake Lookout sits at the end of a quiet dead end street overlooking the lake.

The cabin is approximately 1200 sq ft. It sleeps 6, but may be most comfortable with 4 adults and 2 children. That being said, we have had 6 adults happily stay many times - we just want to be up front on the size.

Amenities:

Cherry Lake Lookout has everything you will need to feel at home in the mountains. The kitchen has a Keurig and a traditional coffeemaker, and the cabin is stocked with kitchen and bathroom basics to get you started, including K-cups, tea, sugar & creamer packets, salt, pepper, oil, laundry and dishwasher detergent pods, and travel sized toiletries. For guests with young children, you will have access to a high chair, pack 'n play, and baby gate for the stairs. The beds are fitted with luxury microfiber sheets and the bath towels are super soft and absorbent.

After a long day of exploring the area, you'll be able to relax in the hot tub, grill up some dinner on the deck, sit around the fire pit making s'mores, and cuddle up in front of the wood burning fireplace.

Entertainment:

The cabin has WiFi fast enough for streaming and 3 Roku TV's so you can access your Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney accounts. We do not have cable television, but if you would like live TV, you can access your YouTubeTV account (or just get a free trial to use during your stay). If you would rather unplug during your visit, the cabin has board games and playing cards.

Location:

If you decide to venture out to Blue Ridge or Ellijay for shopping or dining, or are looking for some great hiking or a whitewater rafting adventure, Cherry Lake Lookout is perfectly located with easy access.

Things to Note:

Roads to the cabin are all paved. Please abide by the 15MPH speed limit when within the community, as deer sometimes cross the road. 4WD is NOT normally necessary, but on rare snow days it may be needed.

The last 5 minutes is a one lane road, so you may need to pull off to the side a bit if a car comes the other way. We also recommend arriving before night if you are not comfortable with driving on the one lane road, as the road gets dark.

Three cars can fit in the driveway.

Lake can be reached via a short, but somewhat steep, path from the cabin. The walk down/back up may be difficult for some guests or if it rains.

We do have a few security cameras on the outside of the property for peace of mind only. No cameras are inside the cabin.

Relaxing Gem

My wife and I stayed for my birthday weekend. The cabin was spacious, well laid out, and clean. The hot tub was wonderful and the lake was great for fishing. The host responded quickly with all questions and even accommodated us when we arrived early! We plan on bringing the kids next time as we enjoyed all the area and cabin had to offer!

Can’t say more about our stay. Location was private but not isolated. Amenities and features were beyond our expectations. Layout is spacious both inside and out and everything was easy to use and access. We had an amazing trip and are hoping to book here again in the future. I visited with two of my friends and we had a wonderful time relaxing at this beautiful cabin. It was very clean, the beds were great and we appreciated that checkout only required starting the dishwasher, taking out the trash bag and putting dirty towels in the bathtub. Watching the sunset and deer walking by outside was the cherry on top! bathtub

Weekend trip

And my husband went away for anniversary weekend overall everything was pretty good. Communication was great. Check-in was easy. The only issue that we had were when we arrived. All the towels on the main floor were very damp. I thought we were going to get to enjoy the hot tub a little bit more, but when we got in the first night, we realize that it was really dirty, when I went upstairs to try to find more towels, I looked under the upstairs bathroom cabinet and found a pair of female joggers with some underwear attached to them, which was kind of disgusting. Overall, we enjoyed our stay cabin besides, the issues was pretty neat super comfortable.

The check in process was easy. We get to the cabin and the house is on a steep hill. Our family exit our vehicle and one of the boards on the walking path was not secured, leading too my husband losing his footing and falling down. We then enter the gate and the deck is very spongy and in poor disrepair. The deck is dirty and some of the spindles are broken. We then enter the cabin and notice the heavy amount of dog hair and dust. You could tell it has not been clean. We checked the bedrooms and noticed a ton of dog hair, pubic hair and human hair all over the beds. The sheets and blankets have holes and i knew had not been washed. The hot tube was unusable due to it hadnt been clean. The water was green with yellow foam collecting on top. Lets now start in the kitchen. Microwave doesnt work. In the refrigerator had filth from previous people and lets not forget the three dead bugs making residence. Everything in the kitchen was sticky and gross. Dont get me started on the inside trash can. I did contact owner and they did communicate and told me we could leave with a full refund. We contact Vrbo and was told they would get back to me in 2-3 days. Well that doesnt help when we were only staying 3 nights. So Vrbo usless and we wont be using them again. Owner said the cleaning lady was out on vacation and no cleaner was sent back out. This could be an amazing cabin but due to the disrepair and the dirty cabin, i wouldn't book.

Great view, very secluded location

This is a perfect spot for a couple, small family, or small group of friends. The view of the pond from the porch and the hot tub was very relaxing. This location is a little further up the mountain from Blue Ridge than some other cabins, so it's better if you're staying put. Everything was very clean and well-organized. Definitely recommend.

Great spot for a quick getaway! Loved having a paved road, the view, and hot tub. Location is within close proximity of Bear Claw Winery (dog friendly) and Fall Branch Falls. We also enjoyed dinner in nearby downtown Blue Ridge at The General Ledger.

Great secluded stay

The cabin is super quaint! Our family of 5 stayed and it was the perfect size. The living gets a little crowded but with the porch being a nice extended loving space it was fine! The lake isn’t a lake, it’s a pond. My boys still caught little fish and had fun. The view is amazing. It’s on a very steep hill for parking so recommend 4 wheel drive. The fire pit was great but the chairs are on a hill so are leaning. Lots of great hiking nearby and Blue Ridge Lake is so pretty!
