Girls trip

Beautiful home well appointed

My book club friends loved this beautiful mountain home. It was furnished beautifully and the kitchen was stocked well. The only drawback is that you can hear road noise from the busy highway on the back porches. Bring your own washcloths because the ones provided were so thin and scratchy. Towels were acceptable. I called before our trip to ask if there was a coffee makers that used K-pods and was told no. There is a nice dual coffee maker with carafe and a k-pod side for Keurig lovers.

Mice in Cabin

Our stay started off fine but after 2 nights we discovered mice were inside the cabin on the bottom floor. This is where our kids were sleeping as it was the area with the most beds and bunk beds. After seeing the first mouse I immediately messaged Vacasa (management company) and they did not respond. The next day we saw another mouse run through the first floor bedroom and messaged Vacasa again with no response. So for two nights we could not use the bottom floor to sleep and we resorted to sleeping on couches and with 3-4 people in the beds upstairs because we did not want our kids sleeping downstairs in bedrooms with mice running around. Vacasa never replied back or called me while in the cabin after I repeatedly told them about the mice. Also, I have reached out to Vacasa afterwards and they have still not responded with a reasoning as to why I was ignored and they have done nothing to correct the situation. They continue to tell me someone is looking into my issue and will get back to me, but they have yet to do so. The home is in a good location but until it is managed by a different company other than Vacasa I would stay away.

Turned into a Bad Experience

The home was beautiful but we didn't have hot water for the whole say. The furnace went out and it was 5% at night. The down stairs fire place went out so the down stars stayed at like 50%. We ended up having to leave on Christmas Day and cut our trip short. It was to hard with 5 adults 2 children and 1 infant. Vacasa was notified they did send someone out he couldn't fix the hot water heater and he got the furnace back on but it went back out same day. Still I have not heard a thing back from them on the stay. The home may be beautiful but the Management of the Property It really ruined out Mountain Christmas we were trying to have with our family.

a beautiful spacious mountain home that we didnt want to leave

This place was a perfect fit for our large extended family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location, and the view. The only downside to this property location is that it overlook the highway and you can hear the noise while sitting on the beautiful spacious deck. There aren't many places like this one, so the trade off for us was worth it, but if you're looking for a remote mountain cabin, this is not the place for you, if you don't mind a little traffic noise. Book it now! Another thing I enjoyed about the view is being able to see the lights across the highway from the other homes in the mountains. It was a really beautiful view if you don't look down at the highway. Also, the sky was incredible and you can see it from all over the house. The kitchen was equipped, the bed I used was incredibly comfortable (best sleep I had in years), the fireplaces were awesome, the back porch was my favorite space to lounge and just enjoy the beautiful weather. I would stay again.

Fantastic Cabin

Beautiful cabin, wonderful view, and easy to find. Located very close to downtown Blue Ridge. We will definitely stay here in the future.
