Cozy, quaint and nicely decorated, this cabin rental is nestled in a beautiful setting along Sugar Creek. The cabin’s Sugar Creek view, outdoor fire pit, screened front porch, and location near Blue RIdge make it an idea vacation rental!

From the moment guests step foot inside Sugar Creek Retreat, it is apparent this inviting little cabin is like no other! The lightly stained walls and landscape windows bathe the great room and kitchen in sunlight and give the cabin a wonderful open, airy feeling. Each of our cabin’s is fully equipped with the items you need to cook a great meal, and the cabin has been furnished with a rustic elegance that both easily meets the guest’s needs as a rental property, and simultaneously tosses in a little something extra. The main floor master bedroom matches the rustic patterns, bear-themes, and warm palette of traditional cabin décor, with the elegance of a cherry-stained sleigh bed—even the great room’s mission style furniture works wonderfully with the warm nature inspired palette to give an updated take on the traditional cabin ambiance.

On the ground level Sugar Creek Retreat features a pool table, foosball table and cozy corner where guests can curl up on the sofa and cuddle up beside the gas log fireplace. Also on this level guests can access the cabin’s third bedroom and bathroom as well as the hot tub on the back patio looking out over the backyard and creek below. **Please note: The Terrace Level Bedroom does not have an emergency exit, The nearest exterior exit is through the game room to the terrace porch** The cabin even has Wi-Fi access and a fire pit to entertain teens, or workaholics who cannot quite manage a complete break from the office. Sugar Creek

The cabin was nice, and the grill was very convenient. The hot tub with a view of the creek was rejuvenating and relaxing.

Not Honest

Prior to booking, the property owner was asked about driveway , as I drive a sedan. They said it would be fine, this dishonest approach put my family in danger and we almost got stuck in poorly maintained very steep driveway. When I called to express concern that we were stuck at bottom of drive, the excuse was given that it rained during last guest stay. If you don’t have a truck - don’t rent this cabin.

Nice Place convenient to town

Pros: Creek access! This is why we booked this place-our 6-year-old daughter is all about exploring and investigating so it was great for her. Pool table, foosball Internet works well Convenient to town/Mercier Orchard Cons: As others have noted, exiting the driveway can be "exciting." We were able to get out but not always on the first try. We have front-wheel drive CRV. Steep decline to creek-seems some embedded railroad tie steps could be an inexpensive solution. We are fit people, but no way my parents could make it down there.

Comfortable and Cozy

We enjoyed our stay at this Cozy Cabin. Inexpensive and nice amenities! The driveway is steep thankful we had 4WD. Also, where the fire pit by the creek has a steep incline, hard to get back up the hill. Should add some kind of steps going down that way.

Difficult Driveway

House was very nice and clean. Our only trouble was with the steep driveway. We could not get our SUV out when we tried to leave to go to town. We had to call a tow truck to get out of the driveway due to the incline and lack of gravel.

Great Place

I rented this cabin to surprise my husband for his birthday and it was a huge success. He had no clue and the place was perfect! There were 6 of us in total and we fit just right. We loved playing foosball and pool and the hot tub was great! We didn’t have the best weather but the place was great to stay in and relax. I would definitely come back.

Great for Family Christmas

We will try to stay here again next year. It was perfect for our delayed family Christmas. The perfectwo place to get away and connect with family through games and conversation. Wish we had time to enjoy more of the amenities. Although there are 4 televisions, we had so much to keep us occupied thatthey were never turned on. We even had a Christmas tree! The hot tub and game room were just what we nedded.

Family Vacation Getaway

Great property. My family of 5 stayed at Sugar Creek Retreat for Christmas and really enjoyed out time there. The kitchen was well equipped with cookware and utensils. Hot Tub was very nice. Fire pit at the creek area was wonderful while we roasted some s'mores. Pool table was ok except balls tended to roll to one side a little. Driveway was a little steep going down but manageable in our Kia Soul. Overall, we really enjoyed the cabin.

Where is maintenance

The cabin was very nice but we did not have heat downstairs and the property maintenance person never came to light the pilot light or help with the heating after three calls to the office . The driveway is extremely steep and difficult to exit and getting to the fire pit is extremely steep , difficult and dangerous to get to.

The cabin was beautiful and clean and we had a great time. Our only issue was getting to the cabin. It could be difficult depending on what kind of car you drive. One road was steep and graveled with lots of potholes. The driveway into the cabin was very steep and graveled making it difficult to get Into and out of.

Great Cabin to Get Away

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at this cabin. The cabin and property were very clean and well taken care of. There is a well maintained gravel road leading to the cabin so you have a great secluded feel not like you are in town even though town is very close by.

Excellent family vacation cabin

We have visited North Georgia for family vacation a few times, but have stayed closer to Helen in the past. Our first trip to Blue Ridge was driven by the desire for creek access at our cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed the sounds of running water from the deck and even went into the creek one afternoon for a cool soak. My girls are 15 and 5, and have already both asked when we're going back. As mentioned in the listing, the drive is relatively steep so I was relieved we had all-wheel drive. The private location, as well as the short drive to town, made this the perfect spot to share with my family.

Quiet and clean home away from home

The property and home was great. We really enjoyed the quiet area and the little creek out back was perfect. The only con would be the steep driveway as it was difficult navigating it with a minivan. We found it was easier to park it off the road in front of the house and walk down. We would definately stay again.

My husband and I loved the cabin. The location was great, easy to access in a car. Very comfortable for a rental. The hot tube was amazingly clean and relaxing. The only downfall was the downstairs den tv remote did not work. We loved the ease of the cabin and will book again in the future.
