Well what can we say but what an amazing place to stay. Hosts Sipha & John were so welcoming & friendly, Nothing was ever too much trouble. They have lots of local knowledge of places of interest & must sees. Lovely stylish home with a grand feel & beautifully kept. Delicious Breakfast with all the trimmings included daily served in a nicely decorated dining room. We stayed for two nights (Friday/Saturday) & it is very central to the heart of Katoomba. A great place to stay in the Blue Mountains & is highly recommended. Lots of extra touches not normally included in a B&B. Thank you to you both for a lovely stay, we will be back. 👍
My husband and I stayed at the Manor on the weekend for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was pure luxury. Even though we arrived late Friday night, John the host warmly greeted us and offered us tea and coffee and showed us around the beautiful manor. The manor is cosy and warm along with our room. Our room was tastyfully furnished with quality furniture and beautiful artworks. The bed was warm and comfortable. The marble ensuite was also warm and inviting with fluffy towels and good quality toiletries. A nice touch was the cosy robes, slippers and chocolates. We woke up to a yummy cooked to order breakfast every day plus fruit, cereals and warm croissants. Thank John and Sophie for our relaxing and memorable stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Katoomba Manor, it was the perfect place to stay for our weekend getaway. The lodgings were really nice and even in winter the place was warm and cosy and the home cooked breakfast was great. We found the location was especially good as we could easily walk into town for dinners and drinks. John also had some really helpful tips for places to explore and what times to visit attractions which made it a lot easier for us. We'd recommend Katoomba Manor for short or even longer stays.
From the friendly greeting of Sipha and John to the excellent run-down on the town of Katoomba and where to eat, sight see and generally get the most out of our short stay, we felt like we had arrived at an experience we were going to repeat. The room was comfortable and spacious with every conceivable amenity provided. The bathroom in the Australis room was truly luxurious. The fireplace in the open lounge room was a wonderful place to enjoy a cuppa and piece of cake. This purpose built guesthouse, complete with original art works and glorious furnishings was high end style without the price. John and Sipha's truly hospitable nature was evident from our first greeting and over a sumptuous breakfast the next morning, we needed no more convincing that Katoomba Manor is truly a treasure in the accommodation options of Katoomba. The theatre room, with all the latest offerings of recent movies, was a lovely place to spend some down time before heading out to yet another excellent restaurant suggestion from our gracious hosts. Silks in Leura is sublime and The Palette in Katoomba both offer high-end dining and friendly wait staff quite simply added to a memorable time away from the "normal". I can't recommend Katoomba Manor highly enough and I know, when we return, it will be to reconnect with a couple whose passion is people and providing an experience of true quality, their goal.
We had a fantastic time. Breakfast was amazing. Highly recommend this place! The room was clean, well presented and had everything you'd want. It's a short walk into town. Only negative is that it's close to the main road and can be a bit noisy. Apart from that, well worth the cost and value for money
Have never felt so welcome. Most major hotels and resorts can learn a lot from the hospitality we received at Katoomba Manor. From the moment of our arrival when we were greeted with a cuppa, I felt at home and as I'd known the hosts forever. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the breakfast is awesome.
Homely little manor centrally located within Katoomba. Hosts are outgoing, kind and generous. Rooms are well kept and appointed. Included Breakfast and snacks are delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area.
We stayed at the Katoomba manor for long weekend and were immediately made to feel at home welcomed warmly by John. The large living space with fire feels extremely comfortable and the whole manor has a beautifully traditional decor, perfect for relaxing after a long walk in the mountains, or a few drinks before dinner, in our case, friends we were meeting in town were invited to the manor before heading out, which was a nice touch offered by John. Are room was spacious, very comfortable and a very well designed modern bathroom with underfloor heating. We also made use of the cinema room, with a wide variety of movies on offer, a cosy idea if burdened with poor weather! All in all, I would highly recommended staying here, we couldn't have been treated more warmly, and the breakfast included is very good too! If you're after a traditional Blue Mountains manor, with warm and delightful furnishings, then this is the place to stay!
My partner and I recently stayed at Katoomba Manor, the owners John and Sipha, were very welcoming, always eager to help us out when it came to planning our day trips around the Blue Mountains. The breakfast cooked by the owners every morning was outstanding and hearty. We stayed in the Australis Suite, it was spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Both my partner and I would highly recommend Katoomba manor to anyone planning their next trip to the Blue mountains. Couldn't ask for anything more.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend Katoomba Manor to others. The room was beautiful - well decorated, spacious, and the bathroom with the bath tub was a real treat. The bed was comfortable and although so close to the highway noise is not an issue with the shutters. And of course, the hosts are welcoming and have added many touches to make you feel comfortable and at home.
