This property was a very positive surprise during my trip to France. The experience provided by the couple that run La Pomélie was beyond expectations. The place has clean and comfortable installations, the reception was warm and informative about the surrounding area, and the breakfast was rich, all made by the owners using local ingredients. Table was set in a way that I could fell special and living in the country side of France. The attention to the details was tremendous. Strong recommend.

A jewel in Touraine. As good as it gets!

This place is a jewel, the best B&B I've ever stayed at. The rooms are lovely, decorated with great taste. The place is run by its owners, Valérie and Phillippe, who where very friendly and welcoming hosts. The breakfast includes home made cakes and marmalades, and was probably the best of our whole trip. Valérie is a skilled professional chef. We had the opportunity to enjoy a "table d'hÎte" dinner, out of this world. La Pómelie is only 12 minutes away from Chùteau de Chenonceau, and 12 minutes away from Amboise. I recommend this place without hesitation.

The Hosts were wonderful, such a beautiful place, every little detail is taken care of. The breakfasts was a feast with Madame‘s home made baked goods. It is a perfect location to visit the Chñteau Chenonceau. Madame is an outstanding chef wish we picked a day when she is offering dinner. Highly recommend and would love to come back.

The best value if you have a car. We've got 2 rooms for the price of 1. Plus there was the first floor living/dining room available. Excellent breakfast included. The owner studied how to cook bakery products for 4 years. We felt very welcomed.

A slice of heaven

Valérie and Paul have created a little bit of paradise in the middle of the Chùteaux in the Loire Valley. The little comfort touches are wonderful and the fresh breakfast served at a common table in the main house give the impression that you truly are a guest of the owners. The breakfasts made by professional chef Valerie were plentiful and varied each morning. If you are a foodie, pay the extra for dinner prepared by Valerie and enjoyed at the family table. Next time, we plan to be in the area, we will plan to stay at La Pomelie!

Charming hosts and exquisite decor

Valerie is a wonderful and charming host making sure our short stay was special. The property is beautiful and thoughtfully renovated offering a high quality experience. Everything was perfect from the tea and homemade biscuits on our arrival to the lovely breakfast with homemade jams, pancakes, fruits and tasty plum crumble. Excellent stay at a beautiful property. Valerie is a wonderful pastry chef and I had the best croissant I have ever tasted in addition to an assortment of fresh meats, cheese, pancakes, and yogurt for breakfast. There is a lovely garden area and it is located in a quiet neighborhood. I will recommend La Pomelie to my family and friends.
