Yamacilla House in Blackheath is a relaxing home away from home, tucked away in a tranquil garden setting and conveniently located close to key Blue Mountains and World Heritage attractions, with the famous Porters Pass track right at the the doorstep!
Take in the sweeping views of Mount Blackheath and the Kanimbla Valley from the privacy of the gorgeous gardens, or relax by the fireplace with a glass of wine after busy days exploring and sightseeing in the Blue Mountains.

Bathrooms: The house has two full bathrooms. The larger main bathroom has a basin, toilet, shower and a bathtub. The second ensuite bathroom (attached to the main bedroom) has a shower, basin and toilet.
Kitchen: The house has a fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, gas stove, oven and dishwasher. Plates, cups, crockery and all the cooking equipment and utensils you may need to self-cater during your stay are provided.
Location: Conveniently located right next to the entrance to the beautiful Porters Pass walking track. The house is also only a few minutes drive (or about 25 minutes walk) to Blackheath village shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries and quirky antique stores. National Park bushwalks, rock-climbing spots and popular wedding venues are also close by.
Only 10 minutes drive to Katoomba, Scenic World and the world-famous Three Sisters lookout at Echo Point.
The charming village of Mount Victoria (home of the historic Mount Vic Flicks) is also only 12 minutes drive.
The Jenolan Caves, Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens, Leura and Wentworth Falls are all also easily accessible by car on the Great Western Highway.

Blackheath is a quiet and friendly village known for its unique art galleries, eclectic antique shops, cafes, boutiques and plenty of great places to enjoy a lazy brunch or coffee. There are several beautiful parks and playgrounds, scenic walks and lookouts, the Blackheath Golf and Community Club and popular wedding venues.
If you want to visit the Three Sisters or Scenic World, Katoomba is less than 10 minutes drive from Blackheath. The beautiful Wentworth Falls and popular shopping village of Leura are also only 15-20 minutes drive.
The charming village of Mount Victoria is about 10 minutes along the highway in the opposite direction and has an atmospheric cinema set in a historic hall. Great for a rainy day activity or date night!
Blackheath is also only a 30 minute drive to Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens and Mount Wilson's beautiful historic village, or a 1.5 hour drive to the Jenolan Caves.
If you plan to self-cater during your stay, there are two local supermarkets in Blackheath as well as a green grocer, free-range butcher, bakery, liquor store and deli.
If you are travelling by train it is best to bring your groceries with you, eat at the local hotels and cafes or order takeaway from the restaurants in Blackheath.

Easily accessible from Sydney by car on the Great Western Highway, with parking available on the driveway for one car, as well as plenty of free street parking directly outside.
We are only 20 min (1.5 km) walk or a short taxi ride from the Blackheath train station. Trains arrive and depart for all villages and towns of the Blue Mountains as well as central Sydney.
For guests without a car who want to do lots of sightseeing, we recommend the "Blue Mountains Explorer Bus" that stops at all the villages, lookouts and major tourist attractions in the Blue Mountains region. You can buy a ticket just outside Katoomba train station. Our top priority is for you to have a safe and memorable time staying in our family home!

- Strictly NO parties, events or gatherings of any kind allowed without prior written permission from the owners/managers. This is a place for small groups, couples or families to enjoy a quiet stay of rest and relaxation.
- Please make sure you have selected the correct number of guests before confirming your reservation. Bed linen and towels are supplied for the number of booked guests only.
- Only guests on the reservation are allowed on the property at any time. If extra guests or pets are found to be staying on the property, or if a noise complaint is made by neighbours, you may be asked to leave immediately with NO REFUND.
- No shoes inside the home please.
- To respect our neighbours, we ask you to please be mindful of your noise levels before 8am and after 10pm - especially outdoors and on the roof terrace.
- Please note the house is located in a residential area. Loud noise, music, shouting, etc. after 10pm on weeknights (or midnight on weekends) will likely result in the neighbours making a noise complaint to the police. You may be asked to leave immediately with NO REFUND.
- Strictly NO smoking indoors. If you wish to smoke outdoors please place all cigarette butts in the red bin outside. Please do not throw cigarette butts in the gardens or put in any of the indoor bins.
- Please remember Airbnb is a community and you are staying in someone's much-loved family home, not a hotel or a hostel. With this in mind, please treat the space with respect and leave it as you found it - dishes washed or placed in dishwasher and turned ON, surfaces clean, all rubbish disposed of in outdoor bins, furniture returned if moved, coasters and placemats used to protect the furniture, and items such as toys, puzzles, games and books packed away.
- Should you leave the property in a state that requires additional cleaning beyond the cleaners normal time/fees, this cost will be deducted from your security deposit.
