Ribble valley on the door step and picturesque surroundings make this place a fantastic stay!

The cottage was really nice mix of modern and rustic. Good fixtures and fitting, great log burner and felt very private.

The property was charming! We loved the well equipped kitchen, the wood burning stove, the modern bathroom and the comfortable bed. The heat worked really well and we were able to control it easily.

This is a lovely, cosy cottage for an extended stay

This is a lovely, cosy cottage for an extended stay. Good location for us visiting family nearby. My only criticism is that instructions on how to use the cooker would have been useful! Otherwise, everything worked perfectly. We haven't been in Summer but the surrounding area is lovely. Very responsive to my questions before arriving.

Great accommodation

Loved the accommodation and location. Perfect size for the two of us, kitchen was fitted out with everything we needed, shower was great. Definitely would return. Crockery and glasses all needed cleaning before use as they were all greasy (assumably from the dishwasher which we didn’t use). The oven and coffee machine also needed cleaning (we didn’t use the oven for this reason). The toilet seat was cracked which was quite ‘uncomfortable’ to use too.

Lovely Lancashire Getaway

Our first visit to Lancashire and we were not disappointed. Lovely walks and a a great pub nearby with fantastic views. Our cottage was charming and the owner helpful and friendly. A pub within walking distance with great food and fantastic views was also appreciated. In the kitchen: Potato masher More mugs More cereal/crisp bowls We couldn’t get the grill to work In bathroom: Fan was noisy if bathroom used at night. Bath/shower Towels were on the small side Master bedroom- Roman blind didn’t work properly (Well you did ask! None of the above marred our holiday)

Convenient for our needs, and well appointed and comfortable furniture 1) The staircase was dangerous -uncarpeted stairs and insufficient handrails 2) Toilet seat was broken - and an inadequate repair meant that the owners were aware of this 3) no downstairs WC unacceptable in accommodation of this price/quality

Amazing

We had the most amazing time in the stables in mellor such a lovely family who own the cottage. Just what we needed a long break we will definitely return i would also recommend the spread eagle pub amazing food and staff go the extra mile also lovely views and places for a nice walk

Great place to explore the north west

We stopped here as a base for visiting friends and family and we found it excellent both as a base and a place to stay. Fabulous surroundings, great location and definitely a place to unwind and relax! Would have no hesitation in staying again!

Beautiful, cosy cottage. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy.
