It was great!! But the hard water should be taking care of...and the walk out dock..caught 30 fish bluegills and bass. 1 large one! Left gifts for the next guest! Ty for a great Vacation for me and my sister!

Great stay here! Beautiful, cozy, and intimate spot that's not too rural or isolated. Everything was labeled, easy to access, and checkout was a breeze. Fantastic little beach, lovely patio and fireplace, and great full kitchen that made cooking with kids a breeze. We would definitely stay again

Awesome spot in Bitely if you’re looking for peace and quiet. No neighbors to speak of and a great little beach for the dogs. Very clean and well stocked with all the necessities. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again sometime!

Perfect family vacation

We wanted a place to say where all our kids could do what they loved. This place nailed it, fishing for our teen, swimming for the younger kids and a boat for the paddle family to enjoy. Plenty of room for our family of 7. If we had more time we would have definitely used the fire pit for s’mores.

Awesome fishing! Property was super clean the beds were comfortable host are very responsive our kids used the kayak and paddleboat! We had smores by the fire had a grill on site but we didnt use it this time would love to be back again.

Private cottage on beautiful quiet lake

The Red Star Cottage did not disappoint. Great spot for a small group of friends looking to get away from the city noise. The lake was great for our dog to swim and play and the paddle boat and row boat were out too. Pre season, so it was too chilly for us humans to swim. But lake was clean and sandy bottom! We had a bonfire with s’mores, grilled on the deck, and sat out under the stars. The cottage came with everything you would need. Only feedback would be more Tupperware to use for leftovers. Also the tap water was extremely rusty, however they have a filter for drinking purposes. Bathroom toilets were all rust stained pretty bad, but it didn’t bother us. Another positive was a super easy checkout process! Just clean up after yourself and the house cleaner handles most of the rest including laundry. Loved that. Will definitely come back. The little town of Bitely was interesting to check out too.

Pet friendly Cute cottage on a lake

We were very pleased with everything. It was clean and ready for us. We didn't have great weather but appreciated the availability of kayaks and boats. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and all we needed to look with. We did not use bbq grill but it looked clean. Firepit was perfect. Showers and tub were clean and hot water worked great. Local store was close and fair priced but there is a dollar general not too far away.

The furniture was cheap and uncomfortable and some of it was literally falling apart. There was a poker chip set for guests to use and when i opened it up it was full of mold. We did enjoy the paddle boat though and there were lots of other fun outdoor things to do.

Building small log cabin

The location worked out great for us. Our sons property where we're helping build a small log cabin in memory of our grandson was closer for us to drive back and forth. The kitchen pans and skillets really need to be updated. The sgl. bed bdrm has a bad mattress. Really appreciated all the extras left for us for our use. Wouldnt hesitate to stay there again for our next trip up there from Indiana.

Mawby Lake

We had a fantastic time at the red star cabin during our stay in Bitely! The beach was great and shaded which was perfect for the kids. The lake was amazing, great swimming. The cabin had everything we needed and was in nice shape. We cpuld also walk to the small grocery store which had ice cream and essentials. Overall great stay and would recommend to families.

Fun little cottage

Had a great time. Loved having kayaks available. Great small no wake lake. Indoor area was great. Outdoor areas could use a good power washing (yes I know it's outside) but overall ok. Still had a great time and would stay again.
