Reviews on here suggest this hotel is pretty good. However it is overpriced, unappealing and generally costs a lot more than it should. The bed is one of the worst and most uncomfortable I've had the misfortune of (not) sleeping in. It is clean though, so there's my positive feedback
We were long driving and our toddler needed to take some rest out of his car seat, so we were searching for the nearest hotel in Bistrita. We came across this one and, as we needed some hours to rest we decided to book a room. It was fine, the staff was friendly, it had a good parking, and the rooms were pretty clean. For 25 euro we got a room with a decent & comfortable bed. We started the morning after, fresh and clean :)
This unassuming, hidden gem of a hotel was recently renovated and I can speak only for their 'business' rooms, here is the status: The good: 1. The rooms are huge 2. The aircon is modern in the ceiling type 3. furniture is minimalistic but non minimal 4. Free Wi FI 5. breakfast is good quality and they offer rooms without if you prefer 6. TVs are modern large led ones 7. Very quiet and good quality sleep 8. Beds and bedding are excellent on par with 4* 9. Very, very clean 10. Free parking 11. Walk to city center and main attractions The not so good: 1. No elevator so not good if you have a dissability 2. Staff is not your usual firendly type in Ro, especially late or early morning but reluctantly helpfull 3.Not much marketing, the front, reception area, is much worse than the interior 4. Sunday breakfast is usually late except on occasions (we were lucky) Book an appartment if you can, it's huge.
Large and clean room, comfortable bed, good AC. The weather was a bit cold, so the cozy warm room was just what we needed. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, but the coffee was good. Overall a pleasant stay in Bistrita.
I've stayed only for one night - but it was ok. The location is good near to the city center. I've been for the first time to this hotel and it was a little hard to find it, the indicators signs are bad placed and the direction on it are elsewhere. The building is just behind the prefecture. The room and the bathroom are clean. So for one night it was ok.
Again, another hotel who doesn't want to turn the aircon on so sleep quality is awful. Try to find another hotel in this town in the summer months or you will be miserable. Breakfast was ok, nothing great. Did not offer dinner there, so ate at a restaurant across the street.
I stayed for one night in a renovated room in Bistrita, at Bistrita hotel. I was impressed about the room, which I find very pleasant. A good room, with new furniture, large bathroom and good WI-FI connection. Also I liked the heating system that you can adjust at your own convenience. In the room it is an LCD TV, a small refrigerator and a safe. I didn’t like the landscape I saw from the window, but this, I suppose it’s not hotel’s fault. The breakfast is decent and the restaurant is clean. They have a free parking outside the hotel. Also I would mention the position of the hotel – it is right in the center of the city. All-in-all, for me, a good choice in Bistrita.
Large, very central hotel. Nice staff at the desk. Very clean room and bathroom. Unfortunately, our visit coincided with a large contingent of American Baptists there for a convention or something. Although breakfast only started at 8.30 and we got down there at 8.50, like the biblical hoard of locusts, they had cleaned out almost the entire breakfast including the coffee, leaving only 1 small piece of omelet and 1 sad egg.
You get what you pay for.... A cheap hotel, and that's his worth. The carpets and furniture are quite old. they had seen better days.... The stuff is friendly and the check in/out process were very fast. In the bath room they installed a sensor to turn of the light and the venta fan. It makes dark in the middle of making shower.... no shelf or closet in the bathroom. The breakfast is not more than average. try to find another hotel in Bistrita....
Stayed for a wedding party. Rooms don't look like they do in the pictures but are fine. Except pillows!!! Nice staff. Good central in bistrista. Didn't make breakfast do can't comment! Reasonable price but would recommend they get more comfortable beds!
