Enjoy a stay in this 200 year old refurbished townhouse which has been in our family name for over 100 years.
During the Irish War of Independence it became a safe house for the rebels fighting against the crown forces.
This interesting property features 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 room with 2 single beds).The house is situated in a quiet friendly neighbourhood and is within walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants.
Local amenities, including fishing and boating on the River Shannon are also within walking distance .
There is an 18 hole pitch and putt club by the river.
Many tourist attractions are within 15 to 30 minutes drive.These include Clonmacnoise ancient monastery, Birr Castle and gardens, Lough Boora Parklands and sculpture park,Clonony Castle and Leap Castle.
Galway city is an hour by car, and the shopping towns of Athlone and Tullamore are within 35 minutes.
