Great surprise at the Red Roof Inn Sylacagua.. room was very nice and clean.. staff was helpful and really made our few days at this hotel enjoyable! We will be back on our next visit, and it's much cheaper than the holiday inn Express with better service!
Rude General Manager (Karen), and very Nasty Blood Stained Mattresses... Although this facility is listed as "Pet-Friendly," the GM, Karen, who was following the room attendant, was very rude to me and mean to my dog. During my one week pre-paid stay, this was the first and only time I requested room attendant service. I never left my canine unattended, and she was placed on her leash at all times, when going outside of the room. As soon as she (the GM, Karen) saw her, Karen stood blocking my doorway, when I was attempting to take my girl, who was on her leash, out to the courtyard to use the bathroom. My elderly 12 year old canine/ family member has just had a major life-saving surgery, and is healing (hence, the purpose of our stay - because she could not climb the multiple steep stairways at our home, and risk her healing). She is weak and very docile, and did not pose a threat to anyone! However, Karen would not step away from my doorway to allow us to pass through, so that Terra could clean and vacuum the room. Instead, she just stood there, and continued to block our doorway, while disrespectfully telling me to "Stay in my room and keep my dog back." Terra, the room attendant, was already doing her job, and I was trying to exit the room, with my girl, as she (Karen, the GM) appeared in the open doorway! Karen was very unprofessional, and if she doesn't like dogs, she should have gone away from my room as soon as she saw mine, instead of continuing to stand inside my doorway, blocking our exit. That being said... The mattresses were disgusting, with torn mattress protectors, which exposed large disgusting blood stained spots all over the mattresses. The pillows were also very nasty and stained. They should all be thrown out, and plastic pillow protectors should be used on new pillows, under the cases. After the room attendant, Terra, brought in a new mattress protector, I still slept on my side, on the very edge of the bed, trying to stay clear of the nasty blood stains, and I did not use the pillows. Instead, I used some folded up clothing. The bed covers and sheets were also stained, the tub kept stopping up, several electrical outlets were loose,my cords kept falling out, the room phone cord was broke, and the phone barely woked, and there was a bad musty odor in the room. I will Not be booking another stay at this place! My review rating is One star, for the hardworking & kind room attendants, Terra & Shacresha, and check-in clerk, Elizabeth.
This place is very peaceful quiet and very well maintained I've traveled all over the United States working as a contractor in the construction business and I have to admit of all the red roofs I've ever stayed at this one is by far the elite in its own class the owners are very generous and hospitable and family oriented I highly recommend this to anyone in this area.
My husband and I lost power and had to get a room for air conditioning. We stayed here and had a pleasant experience. The rooms were nice, staff was friendly and grounds we're well maintained. Thank you
I came back for a softball tournament and the kids loved playing in the large grass areas. Great hotel with friendly staff. They also upgraded the cable since I last came now they have over 100 channels.

We stayed at the red roof inn in Sylacauga and had a great experience the staff was amazing we will definitely be coming back and telling our local friends and family about the Sylacauga red roof staff
Best price for a newly renovated room. The front desk staff, Ginger and Becca, were very helpful and knowledgeable. I stayed here approximately 1 month ago and had suggested updating their cable/channels. Management took my suggestions seriously and updated the service and accomplished the upgrade. The staff seem to take pride in their work. The clean rooms are exhibit A. I will be back.
I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Sylacauga & had a great experience! The staff was very friendly & gracious and the rooms were very clean and nice. They have recently upgraded the rooms and they have new tvs and a ton of channels which was great considering I had a couple of days of down time. The front desk staff was always smiling and friendly and very helpful with info about the area. I will definitely be staying there during my next trip to the area very soon.
