The check-in was quick & friendly; been updated recently everything was clean. The bed was comfortable. A couple quirks were the sink was really high; a child could not wash their hands without help & at first we couldn't find where to hang our clothes & found it in the entertainment center. Not saying these were bad just different; breakfast was generic We would stay here again shopping & food close by
Great place to stay and very local to the towns food sources!! We stayed for two nights and the girls loved the swimming pool. It was very clean and convenient to use! The staff was very helpful with giving us more towels and helping find food places to try.
The first issue was my checkin date was wrong. I called and reserved the room for two nights beginning on a Friday and checking out on Sunday. When I arrived in Friday, I was informed that I was a billed for a no show because I was supposed to check in on Thursday. That was taken care of and a credit was provided. The second issue were the room keys. I was issued two and neither worked. I had to go back to the office to have the keys magnetized again. Enter the room, the beds were made, the chair was filthy, carpet is filthy and the room had a smell. I came prepared this time with a candle. I left to go out and came back to my third issue. My third issue was the room smelled like someone pissed all over the floor. The scent was strong near the sink. So I go in detective mode and low and behold, a towel was underneath the sink filthy and pissy. I will not be staying here anymore.
I've stayed here on previous occasions & was completely happy-apparently they should have skipped the renovations & spent money on staff & management. upon arrival at 1:00 am - room was 81 degrees & I had to ask for toilet paper & towels the bathtub was dirty & the bedspread & the chair both had stains. the swimming pool was completely unusable & I saw a homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk with all their possessions. I was VERY VERY disappointed & appalled at how badly the hotel had changed
This hotel is a bit hidden from view, so look next to the Home Depot behine Captain D's. I was impressed with every member of the staff I encountered. All were friendly and knowledgeable. I arrived at noon and Jay was kind enough to accommodate me. The breakfast was as to be expected, but it was adequate and tasty. TV was new, clear and had many cable channels. Water pressure good with quick hot water. The bed was extremely comfortable, enough fluffy pillows. Plenty of good lighting. Now the bad news. The carpet was filthy. After traipsing around for awhile in my bare feet I noticed that my feet were horrible dirty. I asked that the carpet be vacuumed while I was away. I got some old socks from my sister whom I was visiting and wore them the rest of my stay. The socks got as dirty as my feet had been. Vacuuming won't do this carpet any good. It needs to be replaced. The air in the room was heavy and musty. I'm sure the carpet was the main reason for that.
Bed and room were comfortable. Breakfast was generic plastic tasting stuff but had enough options for me. Their waffle syrup is cold and hard to get out. They need a heated container. On a main road but set back so not obvious from the road. My GPS found it just fine. WiFi was good.
Some friends and I needed one night stay and checked into this Quality Inn. It was nice. Nothing fancy, but clean and quiet except for occasional train whistle a couple of times during the night. The breakfast was adaquate.
We spent a night here recently and were really impressed, especially for a budget hotel. The rooms are accessed from the outside with the second floor up a flight of outdoor steps. We weren't interested in lugging ourselves and our bags up steps so I'd requested a first floor room when I registered. It was great as there was a parking spot right outside our door. The morning breakfast was the best of the hot breakfasts that we've had. The sausages were thick so they were juicy and not dried out. Both my husband and I loved the eggs - they appeared to be real eggs that someone there had cooked. Maybe not but they were great. There was also a variety of fresh fruit available. The people both checking us in and checking us out were welcoming, personable, and helpful. The room was recently renovated and was spotless. The sink had strong water pressure (some recent hotels have had special filters on sink faucets that make it near impossible to rinse off soap or toothpaste) as did the tub. We had a room facing out but didn't find road noise a problem; our room was quiet. The A/C and heat both worked well and weren't loud. There was a really comfortable easy chair in the room, higher quality than what we usually see. The bed itself was comfortable. WiFi was fast and was password protected. There were only two sets of towels so check before showering if you use more. The sheets were my only complaint. The top sheet was newer and 'crisp'. The bottom sheet was incredibly worn and appeared to be something other than cotton. I literally woke up when I turned over as my PJ's got stuck on the material. Taxes, which normally jack up a hotel stay's price, were only $11 making an overnight stay $86. A great stay for a budget motel!
This hotel is under a different name on my GPS. Called for a room and discovered it is indeed a Quality Inn and it turned out to be wonderful. The owners are working diligently on upgrading the hotel and the rooms are freshly painted and decorated. The owner/front desk man was very accommodating. Breakfast was superb.
Usually stay nearer to Birmingham but wanted to save a few bucks so we stayed here. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were nice and clean and comfortable. Got to park right in front of my door and the breakfast was a little better than I expected from Quality Inns. Check in and out was friendly and easy and the price was right. I'd stay here again.
