First time here been to Brac and loved that holiday but this hotel was fab reception staff cleaners waitets beauty salon all were lovely food amazing could not fault this hotel or resort at all . We are planning on going to Porec next year we love Croatia. We would defo return to Illirija in the near future.
Stayed here in June 2018. The location of the hotel was lovely right on top of the port and beach. Our room was lovely with a balcony looking over the sea and both the room and bathroom were very clean. Only thing I would say is that the walls are pretty thin and every day of our stay other than the two days we had exercusions and was up and out of our room by 7:30 we was woken up by the cleaners shouting to each other up and down the hallway constantly this was around 8:30/9am everyday so was not happy to be woken like this. Food was nice but was similar everyday so gets a bit boring we ate out quite a lot and found some lovely resturants. DUPIN was the best would highly recommend it was about a 10/15 min stroll from the hotel but the food was fabulous and the staff there are amazing aswell as the cocktails too. Would also recommend the excursions to see the waterfalls it really was beautiful. Night life was a bit quite but we found if we came out the hotel and went left walked for 10 mins we found lots of bars in the pine forest area looking over the sea. This was my first visit to Croatia and it really is a beautiful country I will be coming back for sure. Its hard to get a space round the pool so we often went to the beach instead our last 2 days we got a bed by the pool but that was only from being one of the first people there when it opens in the morning.
We had a room with beach view which was excellent, little bit small but clean and good comfortable bed :-). Everyday was super program for children, like morning gym and program for family after dinner. The group who organized were really nice specially Antea and Simona. Thanks for everything. :-) The hotel was really close to the beach and city center. Every evening had good live music. The air condition was really super in the room. :-) We liked it. One thing was not so super that the parking place is too small around the hotel and we had to use other parking place which was in different place. Roland and Krisztina from Budapest
Wonderful front Counter Staff and Manager Marianna was wonderful helping with bookings extensions, finding us accommodation in split and a return booking on the way home, This is a half board hotel offering a Buffet breakfast and buffet diner. The hotel is associated with the Kornetti hotel and the other hotel next door offering a range of entertainments and styles. These are very much beachside resort hotels appealing in particular to European holiday makers from Germany, Italy and Croatia itself. The rooms we had were excellent with sea views on each occasion The Buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide range of foods. we did not use the buffet dinner option preferring instead to investigate the many local eateries nearby. The only shortcoming was that the air-conditioning had difficulty keeping up on what were VERY hot days
This cant be a 4 stars hotel. I ve stayed there with my family in late July and the hotel had many issues. A lot of people there and they have only two small lifts (elevators). Be prepare to use the stairs quite often, even with your bags. The food is just awful. Not a lot to choose from and it is tasteless. Family rooms are very small. Basically they just put extra beds in normal (two person) room. There is not enough space even to move. Rooms are not very clean and no one makes the beds. Oh yes, and they charge extra for parking. This is just an average 3 star hotel.
Although we visited the Ilirija hotel only for a short stay, we enjoyed the hotel very much. The location is perfect, directly at the promenade and the seafront, just a few steps from the old town. The check in went smoothly and the receptionist was really friendly and helped us out with all questions we had. Parking was directly behind the hotel and the breakfast was a wide choice of hot and cold dishes. The hotel is ideal for summer holidays but also for excursions, as within an hour drive you have some great sights like the cities od Zadar & Šibenik, the Krka National park and the National park Paklenica. An excellent excursion with car and ferry is the visit to the islands Pašman and Ugljen, what we did.
We recently stayed at Hotel llirija for three nights and had expected more to be honest. Our biggest issue was the cleanliness of the bathroom which was just below the hotel's own rating would imply. I am sparing the details but only after we complained it was somewhat acceptable. Most of the staff was nice however upon our arrival the receptionist was not welcoming at all which added to our experience when we first inspected the room. Room size is OK but not too large and rather old. On top, the hotel has one of the slowest elevators I've ever experienced (calculate at least 5-10 extra minutes if you have forgotten something in your room) but on the other hand during the night you can hear it operating from your room. Biggest plus of the hotel is its location, it is one of the larger ones in Biograd n/m and located very close to the beach. Breakfast was OK, but nothing special either. Worthiwile noting that the pool is shared with one or two other hotels so don't expect too much privacy (or space to that effect, to be fair it's high season currently). Lastly, the Wi-Fi is free but very slow and limited to 2 devices per room. In summary, probably OK for a family trip but personally and travelling as a couple I would choose another accommodation if I could (or even another nice little town at the coast between Split and Zadar).
The hotel is redecorated, I do not know when, but not so long ago. There was plenty of effort and money there, but they did not bother the basics. The rooms are too small, the bathrooms are even smaller, the staff is untrained , there is people among them , who are are very kind, but also uneducated and unkind semi-idiots without any desire for a normal client relationship. The location is great, they try even with animation, concerts, something successful, something not .. Breakfast is good and abundant, cleanliness, well, OK. Basically, I would rate them more, if had no scene with a night receptionist , a man with a pair of glasses, who should not work even in a moon park, and definitely not in a hotel .. Anyhow , maybe people with families , small children , appreciate more places like this . Sorry , i do not , not for that price..
We really liked the pools at this hotel. They are a lot less noisy then the beach and offer a great place to relax and chill. Nice rooms, great food and awesome staff, definitely coming back next year.
We spent a great vacation in Biograd. Hotel Ilirija is clean, stylish and roomy. Most friendly and helpful staff. Beautifull sea and beach around the hotel as well. Interesting excursions in "Ražnjevića dvori" and night drive with exclusive boat "Nada". Great value for money.
