Check in this hotel. Walk to the centre. Have a good sleep. Fill your stomach with a great breakfast and hit the road. Vacation in Germany: it has become a great experience. We tend to check in at NH Hoteles. They seem to find the better spots in a country where the roads appear to be in continuous repair.
Old fashioned, rooms need updating and need air conditioning badly. Breakfast was terrific however and the location is great. Not sure about Bingen in general as a holiday destination but over the water is Rudesheim which is a lovely tourist town and well worth the trip over..
I decided to stay in this hotel during my business trip. Maybe I wouldn´t choose it on my own, but I cannot say that I had some particular problems with something. Breakfast was tasty and rooms standard-furnished and clean. They can maybe improve the first impression .
We stayed here for one night and were a bit disappointed with the quality, especially also in combination with the price of around 100 EUR a night. The room was really small, dirty, smelly and everything felt really outdated. Wouldn't stay there again.
Was there on business. Next to the river so need to keep windows shut or you get eaten alive. Problem is the hotel has no air con and is stifling. Provided with a fan that doesn't help. Bar wasn't open as apparently there was no demand even though the hotel was full. No problem as there are some lovely places further down the river. Great breakfast. Fantastic choice. Guy on the night desk was rude and not helpful when I had a problem with the bugs in my room and blamed me for being stupid for leaving window open. Wouldn't stop there in the summer months by choice. Was ok. Bathrooms a bit dated. Bedding clean.
We stayed for a night after landing in Frankfurt earlier that day. The hotel was easy to find, the rooms were on the small side but the view was lovely. The noise from the trains across the river was consistent but not too loud that you'd close the window. Easy stroll to lots of restaurants. What a beautiful town, we wish we stayed longer but it was an easy stroll to the kd Rhein cruise we booked.
Whilst the hotel is modest in its appearance and rooms, the service makes up for it. The front desk staff were always willing to assist with even the smallest of requests. The rooms are neat, clean and comfortable, and the Spa/Sauna area is a great place to spend some quiet time. I was lucky enough to have had the entire spa facility to myself when i visited. I found the rooms quiet, and had a 2nd floor room overlooking the Rhine river and vineyards.
I was here for a few nights on business. The hotel has a great location, as it is alongside the Rhine River. It's also walking distance to many shops, markets, and restaurants. Make sure to get the hotel breakfast in the morning - it's bountiful and delicious! The only thing I was disappointed with was the mattress and pillow comfort. The mattress was very firm/hard, and the pillows were flat. Nevertheless, I would certainly stay at the NH Bingen again.
The hotel itself is in a good and bad location! It's next to the train line so if you get a room in the front it's noisy because the sound proofing is poor. They do provide ear plugs though! The other side is that it's on the river so the breakfast room overlooks the river which is nice. The room as well as being noisy was far too warm and I couldn't cool it down other than opening the window. It includes free wifi but is abosolutely rubbish. I did a speed test and it was just over 0.1mb which is slower than dialup so not useable really. Breakfast was nice. There is a small gym which is more than most hotels in the area.
I spend several nights in this hotel, be aware that there is no need to pay extra costs to have a quiet room... they do not have any... I paid 15euros per night to hear train every 2 hours all the night... when I answered to the question everything fine? No... and try to negotiate the 15box I got a stupid answer... but WE do not have any quiet room. I had to pay!
